They Celebrated My Killer Sister While I Died
Chau · Ongoing · 6.3k Words
Introduction
I called my parents, brother, and boyfriend for help, but they all thought I was seeking attention and ruining my sister Sophie's celebration.
"Mia, stop it. We're busy preparing for Sophie's party. If you want attention, find another way."
This was the hundredth time they'd let me down.
But there won't be a hundred and first.
Because I'm already dead.
Chapter 1
Chapter One
My brother Jack was going through my stuff again.
"Mia, I know you're throwing a tantrum, but game's over. Sophie needs this hairpin to match her dress tonight. You'd better show up quick and give it to her."
I reached out to grab Jack's arm, to tell him to stop, to stop going through my things.
My hand went straight through him.
Cold fear swallowed me instantly.
I looked down at my hand—translucent, like mist in sunlight.
I tried to touch Jack again, tried to push him, tried to shake his shoulders.
Nothing happened.
I finally accepted the fact that I was dead.
Not finding what he wanted, Jack called me several times and left voice messages: "Stop throwing your tantrum. You have to make the celebration cake for Sophie. The party starts at eight. Mom says if you don't show up, she'll kick you out of this house."
Jack got more and more frustrated searching. Finally, his eyes landed on my desk.
My diary lay there, the lock already opened, pages spread out.
He walked over, frowning at my handwriting: "100th disappointment..." He flipped through a few pages. "99th disappointment... 98th disappointment... What the hell? Who keeps track of boring stuff like this?"
If only he could understand.
If any of them could understand that each number represented a moment they chose Sophie over me, another forgotten birthday, another ignored achievement.
Jack impatiently closed the diary. The combination lock clicked shut automatically.
Some secrets are meant to stay buried.
Sophie's voice came: "Mom! Where's the hairpin? Jack said he was getting it!"
"I'm looking!" Jack said. "Mia's hiding somewhere!"
"Check her jewelry box. I bet it's in there," Sophie said.
Sure enough, Jack found the hairpin in the jewelry box.
He took the hairpin to Sophie, then came downstairs angrily and announced to our parents: "Mia's throwing another tantrum. She's not in her room and won't answer her phone."
"I'm really sick of this attitude," Dad said without looking up. "If she wants to sulk, let her. She should learn her lesson."
"She's always been jealous of Sophie," Mom chimed in, her voice full of disappointment. "Maybe it's better this way. At least Sophie can enjoy her celebration party in peace without dealing with her sister's jealousy."
As if summoned by their conversation, I felt myself drifting toward Sophie's room.
"Such an old-fashioned style doesn't match my dress at all today. Trash belongs in the trash can." She was breaking my hairpin.
"Sophie, don't—" I tried to stop her, but it was too late.
Snap. The hairpin broke.
I felt my heart break with it. This was the only gift Mom had ever given me.
Sophie sat on her pristine white bed and started messaging me.
[Hey Mia, I just wanted to ask... how did it feel when they were inside you? Did you enjoy it? Oh, and by the way, I recorded the whole thing. Every single second. So you better shut up and do as you're told, or everyone will see what a pathetic slut you are.]
Reading those words, my heart completely shattered.
Even after death, Sophie wouldn't let me go.
But then she deleted the message and retyped: [Mia, I'm really worried about you! Please come home safe. I love you so much and just want to make sure you're okay. Your little sister needs you!]
She sent this message and immediately took a screenshot, probably to show our parents what a thoughtful, caring sister she was.
Within minutes, Mom was gushing about how sweet and grown-up Sophie was.
All I could do was smile bitterly.
Today was the anniversary of Sophie winning first place in piano. They were throwing a huge celebration for her.
But today was also my birthday.
While I was in the kitchen getting my own birthday cake ready, about to ask if they wanted to celebrate with me, I was dragged up to the attic by a couple of guys who said they were Sophie's friends.
They assaulted me, no matter how much I struggled and screamed for help.
When I fought back, one of them hit the corner of a table, and his forehead bled.
They got even angrier and slammed my head hard against the wall. I heard the sound of my skull cracking, felt warm blood running down my cheeks.
With my last bit of strength before dying, I dialed home.
"Help me... please..." I said weakly.
"Mia, stop it. We're busy preparing for Sophie's party. If you want attention, find another way." Mom hung up.
I called Dad, called Jack, and even called Sophie.
Everyone thought I was lying, ruining Sophie's special day.
I died like that in the attic, and they still didn't know.
They probably wouldn't find out I was really gone until my body started to rot and the smell got too strong to ignore.

His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Balance of Light and Shadow
Little did she know how much both worlds need her to bring peace and true freedom.
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."

Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
