Introduction
Chapter 1
“Just one sentence today, Mara.”
Adrian set his napkin down and looked at me like this was some small problem he was tired of stepping around. “One sentence. So everyone can relax.”
I’d barely sat down. The gift box was still by my legs. Mom—Nina—let out a sigh first, like she’d been holding it in all day. “We’re not trying to make things hard for you, sweetheart. You know your family’s been worried about you for years.”
Celia jumped in immediately, her voice syrupy-sweet. “When she gets nervous, it’s even harder for her. Don’t push her.”
As she spoke, she rested a hand on the back of my chair, like she was protecting me. Dad—Graham—used that as his cue to frown. “No one’s pushing her. We just want to know whether something’s actually wrong with her, or if she’s doing this again.”
The table went quiet for two seconds. Even the clink of silverware on plates sounded sharp.
I looked up at Adrian.
He didn’t look back. His eyes stayed on his wineglass. “Mara, this is going to have to be addressed sooner or later. You can’t keep doing this.”
Keep doing what? Letting you define me?
I picked up my phone and typed out a line, but Mom’s voice turned cold immediately. “Don’t type. Not tonight.”
Celia slid a water glass toward me. “Have some water. Take your time. Just say ‘hi.’ That’s all. Mom and Dad won’t overthink it.”
She said it like she was helping. But everyone at that table was waiting for me to embarrass myself.
Dad leaned back. “Stand up and say it.”
My fingers froze.
“Graham—” Celia tried softly.
“Stand up.” His eyes locked on mine. “And don’t give me that victim act every time.”
I got up slowly, my knees unsteady. My throat felt like a hand had closed around it—tight, burning. I stared at the corner of the table and forced my mouth to open.
“A…”
The second that broken breath of sound came out, Celia sucked in a small breath. Mom’s expression flashed with surprise—then twisted into something uglier. Disgust.
I tried again.
“Ad…ri…”
My voice came out so raw it almost split, catching halfway like sandpaper scraping metal.
A quiet laugh slipped from the far end of the table—Dad, or maybe his friend’s wife. My ears buzzed. Heat rushed across my face.
Mom set her fork down. Her voice was flat. “Enough. You’re overdoing it.”
I snapped my head up.
“Mom,” Celia said quickly, patting her hand, “don’t. She’s really trying.”
She held the water out to me, gentle as a perfect big sister. And because she was so gentle, I looked even more like the one causing trouble.
Dad shook his head. “She’s been like this since she was little. The moment she has to take responsibility, she pulls this.”
I gripped the cup until my knuckles went white.
Adrian finally looked at me—and not to defend me. His brow was pulled low. “Sit down, Mara. Don’t make this any more embarrassing.”
That line hit like a slap.
Not “Stop.”
Not “Don’t pressure her.”
Just—don’t make me look worse.
I stared at him, my chest tight, my throat refusing to give me a single word. Beside me, Celia kept speaking softly. “She’s not doing well today. We can talk about it later, okay?”
Later. There was always later. And there was never anyone who spoke for me in the moment I actually needed it.
I set the cup back on the table. Not a slam. Not gentle either. Just a hard little sound. Then I bent down, picked up the gift box, and placed it by the edge of the table.
Mom gave a short, cold laugh. “What now, you’re leaving again?”
I unlocked my phone, deleted the birthday message I’d typed, and left only three words: Not eating.
I turned the screen toward them.
Dad’s face darkened even more. “See? Every time. The second she can’t win, she throws a tantrum.”
Adrian didn’t even stand. He just said under his breath, “Mara. Don’t be childish.”
I didn’t look at him again. I grabbed my coat and walked straight out. Behind me, Celia called my name like she cared so much, her voice full of concern.
The restaurant door shut. Cold wind hit my face. I stood on the sidewalk, my hands still shaking. I hadn’t taken the gift with me—like I’d left the last bit of unnecessary dignity back inside.
I walked toward the parking spots and heard Mom’s voice drift out through a half-open side window.
“Let her go. Every time she gets moody, she comes back on her own.”
Dad gave a low “Mm.”
I stopped for a few seconds. I didn’t hear Adrian’s footsteps. I didn’t hear him call my name.
He didn’t come after me.

King of the Underworld
However, one fateful day, the King of the Underworld appeared before me and rescued me from the clutches of the most powerful Mafia boss's son. With his deep blue eyes fixed on mine, he spoke softly: "Sephie... short for Persephone... Queen of the Underworld. At last, I have found you." Confused by his words, I stammered out a question, “P..pardon? What does that mean?”
But he simply smiled at me and brushed my hair away from my face with gentle fingers: "You are safe now.”
Sephie, named for the Queen of the Underworld, Persephone, she's quickly finding out how she's destined to fulfill her namesake's role. Adrik is the King of the Underworld, the boss of all bosses in the city he runs.
She was a seemingly normal girl, with a normal job until it all changed one night when he walked through the front door and her life changed abruptly. Now, she finds herself on the wrong side of powerful men, but under the protection of the most powerful among them.
Goddess Of The Underworld
When the veil between the Divine, the Living, and the Dead begins to crack, Envy is thrust beneath with a job she can’t drop: keep the worlds from bleeding together, shepherd the lost, and make ordinary into armour, breakfasts, bedtime, battle plans. Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.

A PRINCESS IN DISGUISE; BOUND TO THE ENEMY KING
I fell to my knees, the cold marble digging into my skin. I had studied for years in the flickering candlelight, memorizing every herb and poison to pass the healer's exam. I wanted freedom. I wanted to save my mother from the servant's quarters. I placed second. I thought I had won my life back.
But the King didn't give me a badge of honor. He gave me a death sentence.
"Raven Thorne shall be wed to the King of Grok," he announced, his voice echoing in the silent hall. Princess Ellie, the woman who had tormented me for years, slapped her hands over her mouth to hide her cruel laughter. She was supposed to marry the Beast. Now, I was the lamb being sent to the slaughter in her place.
They say King Liam drinks the blood of his enemies. They say he is more monster than man. And now, I have to walk into his bedroom, wearing the Princess's silk gown, and pray he doesn't tear me apart.
I looked at the King, tears streaming down my face. "I'll do it," I whispered, my voice trembling. "But my mother must be safe."
I sold my body and soul to a monster to save her. But when the carriage door opened and I finally looked into the Beast's golden eyes, I realized the terrifying truth...
He wasn't a stranger. He was the man I met in the woods.
