“Your husband? Are you sure?” I said standing up. “You know, rumor has it that you snatched him from your step-sister after you killed her,” I said and she looked at me in shock.
“Surprised? Yes, you should be and one more thing, you better be careful or I will tell everyone how you slashed her face with a broken bottle” I whispered into her ears.
“How…how?” She asked in surprise and I smiled, if only she knew how much of her dirty secrets I know.

Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Chaotic Anniversary
I slipped the diamond earrings into my lobes, smiling as it caught the lights in the room. It had been a gift from him during our last wedding anniversary. I still remembered how lovingly he stared at me when he presented them to me after making love to me all night. He had given me the box with words of affection for me.
Royce Robben, my husband and the CEO of RoyBen Hotels and Suites is indeed a lovely man. He is the wish of most women and I can't thank the universe for bringing him to me. I remembered when my father had vehemently stood against me marrying him. He didn't like Royce because he is older than I am and that Royce is shady.
I grew up being a Mafia Princess but I had vowed to never marry one. I didn't want to be associated with the drama and trouble that came with the Mafian World. And even though several of my father's associates had asked for my hands in marriage for their sons , I refused. Royce was my Prince in shaming armor and I wasn't going to lose him.
I smiled as I did my makeup, making sure to put extra efforts in it. It was our wedding anniversary and I am going to look my best for Royce. With the way I glow with love, money and affection, I am sure even father would be glad that I pulled all the tantrums I pulled. He would have seen that all his worries about Royce were actually meaningless.
Royce had been away to Italy for a month and had called that he wouldn't be able to make it home as his business partners were delaying their meetings. Of course,I didn't like it a bit because our wedding was usually our own way of escaping from the noises in the world.
My phone rang and I smiled with anticipation. It was my assistant Priscilla. I had decided to pay Royce a visit to surprise him. Priscilla had handled all the details and she had called, telling me that all was set.
I walked out of the room with joy and enthusiasm about the night. One of Royce's men took me out and drove to the hangar ,where I took a private trip to Italy.
**********”””
It was quite late and I was tired to the bones when the plane landed. All I wanted was to take a nap till the following morning but I couldn't spend one more night without seeing Royce.
I took a cab, rather than a car to the hotel. It was one of Royce's hotel in Italy so it was easy to locate. As I walked into the lobby and the receptionist saw me, the all stood on their toes, picking up the phone to call Royce and inform him of my arrival but I stopped them.
My heart beat rapidly as I entered the elevator and went to the top suite. I knocked on the door and the door was unlocked minutes later
‘Hello my love!” I said as soon as I saw his face. He face opened in shock and I smiled
“You didn't tell me you were coming,” he said as I entered and he followed behind me.
“I wanted to give you a surprise babe. I've missed you and I couldn't wait a day longer. Plus it's our wedding anniversary, how could I have such a special night alone without you by my side. Happy wedding anniversary my darling,” I said again as I hugged him while he looked at me in awe.
“Did I surprise you too much?” I asked as I saw how amazed he was. He opened his mouth to reply to me but before he could I heard the showers running.
“Did you leave the shower running?’ I said as I stood up and walked towards the bathroom. “You need to unlearn this behavior of yours,” I said again and opened the door. I stood still as I saw a body inside the shower. Even though I had opened the door, she remained unfazed and washed her hair thoroughly before turning towards me.
“Britney?” I called when I saw the figure of the person in the shower. It was one thing that I was seeing her after she left the house ages ago but seeing her in my husband's shower amazed me more. She switched off the shower and wrapped her body with a towel.
“Royce? Why is she here and taking a shower ?” I asked calmly even though I was boiling with anger. Royce said nothing to my question and wrapped his robe around tightly. He took a seat on one of the soft sofas.
“What else? I'm here to see my boyfriend of course,” she said as she smiled and walked towards Royce and kissed him deeply. The fact that Britney was acting wantonly wasn't getting to me because her behavior showed that she is indeed her mother's daughter.
Her mother had been a maid to my mother in her life time but Britney's mother had found a way to seduce father and bore him Britney. All efforts to get my father to divorce my mother failed, therefore, she left Britney one day and never returned. My mother cared for Britney as if she was hers and loved her even though she was a mistress's child.Years later when Britney clocked 18, she left the house and hasn't returned since then and now she was back, claiming herself as my husband's girlfriend?
“You know, I've been wanting to tell you this but I just didn't know how well to break it to you,” Royce began.
“Pass me that file darling,” he said to Britney while I watched them both in dismay. Britney passed the file to him and he threw it on the table.
“There, sign it,” he said and I moved closer, taking a look at what he wanted me to sign. I staggered back with horror as I saw the contents of the file.
“A divorce paper? Please tell me this is a joke Royce. It's our wedding anniversary for goodness sake and I'm here to give you a surprise. Why tell me to sign something like this?” I lamented.
“I'm merely returning the favor by surprising you too, so what is the problem? He asked
“This isn't a surprise and you know it, plus what would people say when they hear this. You want to divorce me for my step-sister?” I asked.
“I don't care what anybody says. It is my life and they can fuck themselves. All I need you to do is sign these papers and walk away.” He said with seriousness.
“No, I won't sign it! I don't know what lies she has fed you but I am your wife. Look me in the eyes and tell me that you are tired of me. Tell me you feel no ounce of compassion for me. Did I do something wrong? Please tell me and I'd apologize right away but please don't make me sign these papers,” I begged in desperation.
“Really? You won't sign it. I guess you want the whole world to know your secret then?” He said and I froze on the spot.
“Royce,” I said with tears in my eyes. How dare he threaten me with those secrets, knowing fully well what trouble it would cause my dad? I looked at him and knew then that no matter what I say, he wasn't going to listen. I walked towards the table and took the pen on the papers, crying.
“Oh please, quit the pretense sign it already,” Britney said while I signed the paper with a heavy heart

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
