Chapter 1
Chapter 1: Lightning Storm
SOPHIA
I can't take this anymore. I think to myself as I stared at the dark cloudy night sky, my vision getting blurry with tears and rain pelting down my face, soaking me to the bones, causing shivers down my body.
The head bridge was empty at this point at night. Everyone eager to get home and snuggle in the arms of their loved ones. The only loved one I had was stuck in a hospital attached to machines. Not sure if he was going to make it through the night.
My little brother, he didn't deserve this curse of having me as a sister. My parents didn't deserve the curse as well and now they are paying for it, buried six feet underground.
I didn't know what to do, dying now seemed perfect for me. I didn't want to live in a world where my last surviving family member was no more.
Death seemed so much sweeter now. My brain supplied to me as I tried to climb over the edge, before leaping to my death.
I hope my body is never found. I said to myself closing my eyes as I took the next step.
Just another and everything will be all over.
Boom!
Lightening strike accompanied with the sound of metal being slammed into shook me awake as I stared at the car over the edge sinking rapidly into the water. And with that, I could see the hands pressed against the window, someone banging on it.
Nobody has noticed the car that was being sunk as everyone was gathered against the truck which was upside down and a car as well under it as they worked harder to bring out the people in it.
Clenching my fist in anger. This was supposed to be the day I died. I could just jump off and die, someone will get to the lady, it doesn't have to be me. I said to myself.
Closing my eyes was the biggest mistake I made as I could remember vividly my little brother pushing me off the track as the car meant to kill me slammed into him, sending him rolling down the pavement, eyes opened and blood trailing down the road making a trail to his broken body.
Opening my eyes, I sobbed as I jumped into the water, headed for the far. Thankfully it was sinking slow but steady so the lady inside wasn't drowning yet.
The hope in her eyes ignited as she saw me appear at my window as I helped my breath and used my elbow to slam into the window.
Once,
Twice
Thrice
It broke, water rushing in rapidly sinking the car faster as I opened the car door, before we were both submerged completely in the water.
It was only a matter of time of getting her out and out to the surface before we both lost our Oxygen that was limited.
Her leg was stuck in the breaks underneath the wheels as I worked hard to force her foot out of it. I hoped I didn't break her bone as I grabbed onto her and using my legs to kick us up, I struggled to get her out of the water, pulling her to dry land as we both coughed out the water that we had in our lungs.
Laying beside her trying to catch my breath, I took in the lady appearance. It was not that hard to see that she was an older woman with white hair that was clinging to her face, and her make up washed off revealing her natural beauty.
Compared to her I was a ghost, pale skin, mascara from crying making me look ugly and a white dress soaking to my body and no shoes.
I had no idea when I had lost my shoes, my feet all blistered up.
"Over there. I see someone." Someone yelled as flash lights were switched on in our direction as a new commotion was beginning. I could see and hear the sounds of the ambulance and I knew that the lady was going to be saved.
"You will be saved now. You are in good hands." I said to her struggling to stand up as she looked at me and said,
"Who are you? What's your name?" She asked as I furrowed my brows. Was there a need to tell her name. I didn't need the accolades. She stopped my suicide. I can't try it tonight again. The place wouldn't be free again for days later on.
"Nothing important. Someone like you shouldn't die so quickly. You have a lot to live for." I said patting her hands as I wanted to turn away and leave before they could get to us.
The irony. A suicidal person convincing someone to live..
"Please?!" Her voice broke, as she tried to lift herself from the ground. But exhaustion was plastered on her face as I could see she was struggling.
The heartbreak in her eyes were too much to handle. It was almost as if she knew who I was and was trying to help me because she could see the shitty things I had been through.
"Sophia Lane. That's my name." That was the last thing I said to her before disappearing into the woods near the road.
There I waited as the paramedics ran to her with a gurney as they helped her carefully on the gurney.
"Where is your daughter ma?!" One of the paramedic yelled, his flashlight scanning the place to see if he could get a glimpse of me.
I hid further, not moving as I didn't want to give out my location. I wanted to know what the old lady would say.
Would she deny being saved by someone. Or would she even remember me? She did had a nasty gasp on her head.
"My daughter is...gone " she said as the paramedics glanced at each other.
" Let's get her to the hospital. We will tell the cops about the lady missing. Hopefully she went to get help for her mum." The paramedic said as they rolled her away to the ambulance.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

The mafia princess return
Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
Genevieve loses a bet she can’t afford to pay. In a compromise, she agrees to convince any man her opponent chooses to go home with her that night. What she doesn’t realize when her sister’s friend points out the brooding man sitting alone at the bar, is that man won’t be okay with just one night with her. Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
