Introduction

Samantha's life took a drastic turn when her sister, Olivia, stole from Nicolas Lewis, the most powerful man in the city and the feared king of Wrath, a cold mafia lord. Olivia, the third child in their family, put both herself and Samantha in peril. Fearing for her sister's life, Samantha took the blame for Olivia's crime. However, Nicolas had no intention of sparing anyone who crossed him, believing that Samantha was responsible for the theft.

Samantha's parents had already blamed her for the death of their son, harboring resentment towards her, despite the fact that they had been neglectful, leaving her to work tirelessly to pay the monthly bills and fund her sisters' education in hopes of securing a brighter future for them.

Nicolas's younger brother, Sam, who struggled with mental instability, intervened and saved Samantha from Nicolas's wrath. Yet, the cost of this intervention was steep for Samantha. Now, she faces an impossible choice: marry a man who is mentally unstable or risk losing her life.

It’s a deadly wheel of fate!

Chapter 1

Samantha's Point of View

A deep breath escaped my lips as I settled into the chair. My muscles felt numb, and my feet burned from standing and running around all day.

Running a restaurant without any staff was tough. I wished I could hire people to help, but I barely made enough to cover the expenses of the restaurant. I couldn't afford to pay anyone minimum wage, leaving me stuck on my own.

Giving up was an option, but once the month ended, all the bills would be staring at me sternly.

I rubbed my temple, trying to smooth the tiredness.

The sound of someone banging on the restaurant door echoed in the empty space, causing my brows to furrow in confusion. It was past midnight, and I had already put the "Closed" sign outside, so whoever was knocking seemed intent on breaking in.

I scanned the room until my gaze landed on a broom leaning against the wall. Rising from the chair, I tiptoed over to grab it and headed toward the door. I grasped the doorknob and flung the door open, ready to confront whoever was outside, but I stopped midway when I realized who it was.

Olivia

She rushed into the restaurant and shut the door behind her, resting her weight against it as she panted heavily. Her face was drenched in sweat, and her breathing was labored.

“Olivia, you scared me. Why do you look like you've seen a ghost?”

I scolded, my brows lifting with confusion. I placed the broom against the wall, turning my full attention to her.

Olivia is my sister; she is the second-born child in our family, following me and our twin brother, who unfortunately is no longer with us.

“Sister __Sister, I made a huge mistake!”

Olivia clutched her hand to her chest; I swear I could hear the sound of her heart banging so hard against her chest.

Worry filled me about her condition. Olivia loved putting herself in danger, and the last time I had to use the last money we had to pay for her bail-out bill after she stole from a store.

“Tell me what you did, Olivia…”

“I stole a diamond?”

“Olivia!”

My eyes widened in shock.

"That's not all, but I stole from Lewis… I swear I didn't know it was their house, and now they are looking for me; they are going to kill me! Please help me, sister!”

Words poured out of her, and tears began welling up in her eyes.

Each muscle in me went cold, leaving me frozen on the ground. The whole city knew of Lewis, and everyone was afraid of them, including me. I've heard unpleasant stories about Nicolas Lewis and how cold-hearted he was. He's definitely going to kill her without a second thought.

“Sister, I made a mistake, but I'm still young, and I have so many dreams to fulfill… I don't want to die at such a young age; please help me!”

Olivia pleaded between her sobs, her knees probably weakened as she collapsed to the ground.

I paced a short distance, running my fingers through my hair. But how am I supposed to help her? They were going to kill her without a second thought, and I don't think I can do anything.

“Sister, please say something…”

The sound of her sobs echoed across the quiet space.

"You've always protected me since I was a kid; you've always been more than my own parents could ever be. I know I made a mistake, but please don't let them kill me—I'm not ready to die.”

I closed my eyes and exhaled deeply. No matter what she has done, she's still my younger sister. Her parents might have failed her, but I will not fail her. I will fulfill my duty as her sister, but the problem is I don't know what to do.

“What did you steal?”

I forced words out of my mouth. Disappointment filled my whole being, but I tried to push it away. We all make mistakes, and she was only human.

“A stole a red diamond!”

My whole being went completely still, and my breath seemed to have stopped for a few seconds before I started breathing again.

Her words kept on ringing in my ears for an unhealthy amount of time. I swear I wanted someone to come and tell me that it's all in my imagination.

“Where—where is it?”

I stammered.

Olivia slipped her hand into her pocket and fished out a sparkling red diamond.

A gasp escaped my lips as I covered my mouth with my hand. I thought she'd been joking, but she's not.

How the heck did she get her hands on this diamond? I'm sure it was heavily guarded from wherever it was. How did my sister become a professional thief? I have no choice but to protect her even if it meant putting myself in danger.

“Stand up!”

I said sharply, and she jerked to her feet in less than a second.

“Give me the diamond.”

I extended my hand over to her, and she placed it in my palm.

“Take off your clothes right now…”

I ordered her, and she complied by taking off her clothes. I crossed the room to the small table, and I placed the diamond there, and I began taking my clothes off, and I walked to her and gave them to her.

“Wear this and go home… Don't tell anyone about this, and don't act suspicious; just act normal. Do you understand?"

Olivia's brows furrowed in confusion, her eyes were red from crying, and her face was now puffy.

“Sister, what are you planning to do?”

“Change your damn clothes and do as I'm saying, Olivia; I will deal with this.”

I muttered under my gritted teeth. I wanted to teach her a lesson, but unfortunately, this was not the time. I won't gamble with my sister's life; she's young and has many dreams to fulfill, but I had no dreams or life outside this restaurant, so I don't see why I should let her face this instead of me.

Without saying a word, Oliva changed her clothes into mine, and I wore her clothes along with her cap. She left the restaurant, leaving me behind.

This might be the last time I'm seen alive because no one messes with Lewis and survives; unfortunately, even the police can't do anything about this.

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
