Chapter 1
Lydia's POV
"Grace Cooper...pinch my arm. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE!" Grace lift her head up from the book, giving me an obnoxious stare!
"Jose Bailey invited ME on a DATE with HIM!"
"...Could you please stop yelling periodically, Lydia? It's just a date, girl. Calm the hell down. Besides, he's not such a hottie. He's just a captain of a Hockey team. Get your priorities straight, you infatuated, heart virgin!"
"Grace, you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this moment to arise in my life! Actually, you're going to help me pick an outfit. Right now! Come, take me to your wardrobe!
The date is at 8:30...in five hours!"
I dragged Grace through the living room while she stared at me weirdly again! She'd never miss a beat to throw a nasty stare at me everytime I talk about Captain Jose Bailey! He's kind, he's alluring and he's such a good person! He saved me from a mishap. That makes him no less than a hero!
"Did you just fucking ignore my statement— oh god, I'll just get done with this shit." She cursed at me, but I was too deaf to hear the colorful words!
Four hours later, after I've chewed her brains out, I decided to charm myself with a dress I've borrowed from her.
"No, you've stolen it. I would never give this dress to anyone."
"Yes, but I insisted and you gave up on your desire to hide this from me on second try! You had to try harder, Grace."
"You know what? Fuck you! You looked so happy that I couldn't keep this dress to myself anymore, alright! Besides, it seems to suit you more than me. You better pay half of its price when you come back drunk— or you could pay in full, since you'll be blacked out of your mind after your date~"
"What nonsense, Grace!? I'm not a leightweight!"
"Yeah, sure. My lap still remembers the warmth of your vomit." I felt disgust creep in at the speed of light.
"I'm sorry!" Grace rolled her eyes at me, pushing me around until I faced the big mirror in the room. My eyes lit up like it was Christmas in summer~
"You look fantastic,"
Clad in a cunning black dress, stilettos with the vicious threads that surrounded my calves sexily, I admired my body in front of the mirror. I'm going in with an intention, and it shows.
My name is Lydia White, studying journalism from a formidable institute. My passion rose with my idol, I always wanted to be a Hockey journalist. It's a fantasy come true today, that I'm going on a date with Jose Bailey!
Going on a date for the first time ever can be nerve-wracking, I get it. But on my way to the bar, I couldn't stop tapping my legs to the floor at all! The Uber driver gave me a nasty glare, sped off as soon I gave him the fee and tipped him for keeping up with me. I didn't mind the hostility. At all.
Entering the crowded, smelly space, I looked around in hopes of bumping into Jose. That'll save time and I can use my charms to get to talk to him!
A bartender was stationed behind the counter, preparing drinks for customers and minding his own business. I caught his attention however.
"How may I help you?"
I get it. It's his job to be flirtatious and get money out of his customers at his shift. He's doing a commendable job. But my eyes are only wandering towards a special someone~
"Um...I'm Lydia, N-Nice to meet you. I'm looking for Hockey Captain Jose Bailey? He's a regular here apparently. Can you guide me to him?"
"Oh, Mr. Bailey! Well, I can. But it's a policy that you must handover your gadgets before going into VIP mode. And I - proud to say it - am the best safekeeping you'd ever bump into. Look how many people trust me!" He pulled out a tray, showing five mobiles and one smart watch. I looked around, calculating the number of heads being exponentially higher than the gadgets he's 'safekeeping'.
"Well. Alright!" Everything below, I was excited to meet Jose and nothing else mattered to me. Handing my phone to him, he smirked at me and instructed me to follow him.
Puzzled. Baffled.
Stunned.
All of these emotions burst like a bubble in me. The smell of alcohol, spirits and hookah greeted me to a separate VIP cabin. It wasn't particularly huge. Was the size of my room at maximum.
"There you go, escort." I was taken aback when the bartender assumed that! I'm not an escort!
Blinking it away, I tried to find Jose behind the smoke screen.
I coughed before attempting to call his name,
"Um...Jose Bailey? I'm Lydia White. W-We texted and you invited me for a date. I—"
"Ah~ Lydia, my dearest."
An unholy gasp left my lungs when I heard his voice! It was right next to me! I couldn't see his face as he blew a puff right onto me. It stung my eyes, but he laughed it off with me!
"What're you doing there standing? Join us!" He pulled me over, I almost fell onto his lap as we sat on the couches! Out of the blue, another dude held my thigh and whispered to Jose, "I told you she was THAT kind. Look how pretty she is."
I...foolishly took it as a compliment. Laughing that off as well, I tried to turn back to Jose and express my love for him as his biggest fan!
"Drink up, sweetheart. We have the whole night." He said, in the sweetest voice I've ever heard in a man! His convincing voice and an assuring arm around my shoulder encouraged me to try alcohol after a really long time. I liked it. I'm not going to lie. And just like that, I was lying there, wasted.
What the hell was I even thinking...?
I didn't expect this outcome on our date. At all. He's called me to a hotel, but instead, I'm here with his friends and at a Bar's VIP. What will Grace think of me?
"Oh god, I think I'm gonna get sick." Announcing, Jose walked away. I looked around, my eyes droopy and mind hazy. All of a sudden, his friends had started hoarding around me! Leaving the other beautiful, young girls of the escort club, they were all upon me!
"Hey...I think she's out. I'd love to lick her neck. It's so soft, so cute..." one man said. I furrowed my eyebrows but couldn't do much.
Another man tried to lift my head up and looked down at my cleavage, "Oh, I see you're perked up. Excited eh? I wanna flick and pinch them both so badly~"
"Me too, man. I bet 100$ that they're pink," The guys laughed at me, and all I could do was release sounds of discomfort throughout their vulgar conversation.
Then, the worst came up to me. A tall, brooding man stood in front of me. All of us were hardly sober. He held the hem of his pants, over the belt as he comfortably stood in front of my face,
"Well, there's only one way to find out. I bet she's gonna be too drunk to even feel shit, bro."
...I wanted to talk to Jose, my idol.
How did this even end up happening to me…?

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
