Deliaha Shine · Ongoing · 32.4k Words
Introduction
Out of hatred for her family, feeling betrayed, she runs away from home and wanders to the outskirts of her pack where she comes across the forbidden Alpha, Romeo who is cursed.
He is very handsome but an Ultima wolf, a mere look of his eyes when angry can destroy any werewolf or human. His anger had made him eliminate his father in his previous life to take over the control of his pack. The moon goddess got angry with him and cursed him, the curse turned him into an Ultima wolf as he reincarnated.
The only remedy for him to turn back to a normal werewolf would be true love from a woman. He is hopeless to get this as all ladies run away from him and he cannot live in the pack with others due to his dangerous nature despite being extremely handsome and wealthy.
Graciella and Romeo notice a strong pull and feelings for each other as they meet.
Would Graciella stay and redeem Romeo from his curse or would she run away like other ladies?
Chapter 1
I rose from sleep to hear the sound of music, people chatting and walking about in our house. It's my dad's birthday, I quickly remembered, the day we all had been waiting for. We didn't mark the annual moon festival this year so this' a compliment to that. Being the Alpha, he invited people from other packs, all members of our pack would send at least one representative to attend.
I smile, I'm gonna meet lots of friends and perhaps I'll find a crush. Since I turned eighteen till now, I haven't found my mate, I don't know why the moon goddess is keeping my mate from me. Now I'm twenty-three. I hear footsteps approaching my door.
A knock lands on my door. "Graciella, good morning, it's time to wake up. Guests would start arriving soon." It's my sister's voice, Zarina took it upon herself to come wake me up, she must have been the first to wake up today.
I look at the fancy clock on the wall of my room, it's 7:14 AM. I'd been busy last night trying to set up things. That's why I couldn't wake up so early as I've always done. I yawn, stretching my body. "Good morning sis. I'm already up." With this I sprang up from my bed ready to begin my day.
"Please hurry up!" I could now hear her retreating steps. Today is a special day. I need to put on my best clothes and appear nice, who knows I might meet my mate. I hurried to the bathroom to do the necessary. Minutes later I came out prepared to set up myself. I head to the wardrobe where I keep lots of beautiful dresses, my shoes and accessories. I had bought a special dress and shoe for this occasion. My dad is celebrating his fiftieth birthday, so it's a great achievement.
I slip into my royal blue fitting gown, it extends to the floor but it's slitted in front to the midst of my hip revealing my glass slippers. I brushed my hair, fascinating it with bridal stuff, styled it into a bridal style. This reminds me of the day of my wedding. I picked up my silvery purse, I glanced at myself in the large mirror in my room. I smile, really satisfied with my appearance. My makeup is glossy, I have these long eyelashes which seem fake, my nails are long and artificial, with diamonds on them. I feel so cool, blushing I head downstairs.
The ceremony is scheduled for the grand hall in my dad's castle which is really big. The guests start arriving by 8 AM, I walk over and take my place at the stage where the Alpha's family are meant to sit. George, my second brother, approaches from the opposite door.
"Graciella, you're here so early?"
"Yes," I nod, smiling back, he keeps smiling at me. "Why're you so excited?"
"Nothing," he shakes his head. I smirk playfully, turning my eyes away from him to watch the arriving guests. George is a funny person that's playful almost all the time, he takes nothing really seriously unless there is an emergency or tragic event. I like it though, he's caring.
The ceremony starts with my father walking into the hall in a bright sparkling outfit embroidered with gold and diamonds. It's his birthday and he needs to dress in his ceremonial Alpha gown. Applause comes from the crowd as he walks in, he's beaming with a smile. His face looks so radiant. Zarina and my three brothers, Mark, Alfred and Albert walk into the hall dressed in suits of different colors. Zarina wears a silvery ball gown. She had changed up.
The master of ceremony starts the ceremony with lots of fun fare and the DJ begins his duty, with mind blowing music. Everyone starts shaking their body to the rhythm of the music. I smile, moving my body to the music, my eyes roam around the hall, scanning through the beautiful guests. My eyes struck on a certain young man.
I shift my body no longer to the music but the ecstasy from catching a glimpse of him. His charming blue eyes are piercing and seductive, it holds me captive. I can't take my eyes away from him, all that's being done in the hall is falling on deaf ears. The only thing that matters now is this man, he must be in his late twenties.
Romantic feelings start bubbling in my chest, he looks a bit serious from his face but I can see a romantic glow in his eyes. He stares at me while sipping from his glass of wine. I wonder who he is to be sitting at the center of the hall with high-ranking members of our pack.
The crushy feelings and stares continue until the afternoon, I've been focused on him so far, not minding what's going on in my father's ceremony. I watch my father for the time he would stand up from his seat to the inner room then I'll follow him. I need to know who's this man that's taking my breath away, holding me captive in the prison of his eyes.
Dad stood up as expected, I smiled in satisfaction. I'd ask George but he might not know. I turn my head to look at the crowd, all I can see is my crush. My eyes landed on him at first glance and to my amazement, his eyes were fixed on me. He smiles, I blush shyly.
Inside the inner room with my dad, I walk up to him. "Dad, I think I've found my mate," I say jokingly.
His eyes widened in amazement, "What, really?"
"Yes," I nod.
"Who's he?"
My eyes went to the floor trying to memorize how he looked, what he wore and where he sat. "I think you'll know him by this, he's seated at the midst, the honor table in the center of the hall. He's wearing a navy blue suit, his eyes are blue and charming, his hair is wavy and black like that of a prince." I describe him gesturing with my hands and my eyes blinking in excitement.
"Can you come with me, let's see who you're talking about."
"I'm shy to let him know it's him I brought you to come and see."
"No he won't know, just gesture with your eyes. I'll monitor you closely to see who you're talking about. But I think I know him already, I saw someone like that. It must be Alpha Romeo."
My eyes spark in delight as he mentions the name, this' what I'd been wishing for. "Who's Alpha Romeo?"
"Come with me!" Dad orders, walking off, I follow him. To my shock, he was gone, my crush is no longer among the crowd. Where's he gone?
"Dad, he's no longer here" I whispered to his ears.
"Well but I think I know him, it must be Alpha Romeo, the forbidden Alpha." I shrink at the word 'forbidden,' what did he do to be forbidden. Any werewolf that's forbidden is placed under a curse by the moon goddess.
"He's too handsome to be forbidden?"
"I'm sorry I haven't told you about our history before, I'll do that after this ceremony. Okay?"
"Yes dad," I nod, walking back to my seat. Now I can continue with the going of things but my mind still rests on my crush. I can't wait to know more about him.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.

When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
