Chinenye Agba · Ongoing · 34.6k Words
Introduction
He knew I’d be tossed aside for the peace treaty, and he didn’t say a word. He sat at that dinner table and let me go. He betrayed me. Darius Sinclair, my fated mate, betrayed me and made a fool out of me at that dinner table.
Well, I married the heir of a mad king, known to have madness in their DNA. But just when I thought my life was over, the heir, Dominus Jones, turned out to be all I had ever dreamed of in a man: caring, loving, and everything I could mold him into to win the elections and become the Alpha president of the werewolf kingdom.
I thought he was my missing rib until these words rolled off his tongue:
"Me or the baby,” he sneered down at me. “Choose between us.”
He wanted me to abort our month-old baby, and I did, thinking that would keep our marriage intact. But then I saw the announcement: he wanted to run for the elections with his fated mate. He broke me, tossed me aside, and fucked his mate in our matrimonial bed. He never loved me; what he needed was a stepping stone.
But what he doesn’t know is that my fated mate wants me back, and his brother would kill at my beck and call. I’ll take everything I gave him. I will take it all with the two men by my side, but things start to get complicated when they both fall in love with me. Who do I pick?
Chapter 1
CHAPTER 1.
BLAIR'S POINT OF VIEW.
~~THERE’S NO TURNING BACK NOW!~~
“We will be giving Blair out for the peace treaty,” our Alpha, Damon Sinclair, announced, and I froze.
My chest tightened immediately, and I lost all appetite to continue eating.
My eyes flicked across the table, darting to my father's face, Beta Knowles. He didn't raise his head or bother to look my way, but I could see the initial smile vanishing from his face.
The grip on his knife against the plate tightened, but he wasn't cutting any meat. It was clear he wasn't happy with this decision either, just like me.
Then why isn't he challenging our Alpha
For a few moments, I didn't say a word. I couldn't, even if I wanted to; it felt like my throat was dry. The last thing I expected while having dinner with the Alpha family was to be picked as a pawn to be tossed around for the Pack's peace treaty.
Just yesterday, when my father told me that we would be going to the Alpha's mansion for dinner, I was the happiest.
Not exactly for the food or the luxurious decor of the Alpha's mansion, as others used to be excited for.
Instead, I was more excited that I would be meeting my mate—Darius Sinclair.
He is the heir to the Alpha throne of the Nightbane pack.
Nobody knows we're mates yet; actually, today marks exactly two months since we realized our bond. We accepted each other, and since then, he has been the only source of peace in a pack where I'm mocked for being motherless. We had an agreement not to tell anyone about our mate bond until the right time.
And the right time is supposed to be today. Last night, after my father told me about this dinner, I called Darius and informed him immediately. We both agreed to break the news to our families tonight at this dinner.
And now they’re about to toss me aside for a peace treaty to resolve the long-standing feud between our pack and the Nightshade pack?
I’m supposed to have a say in this. It is my fucking life.
And my father is supposed to fight for me, but he’s not. I guess he’s not willing to challenge his Alpha king.
Well, if he’s not willing to, then I will.
Pushing my chair backward, I stood up, breathless. “I don’t want to go to the Nightshade pack!” I declared coldly, standing before the Alpha king, the Luna Queen, my father the Beta, and both my mate, Darius, and his younger brother, Ronan.
Everyone raised their heads, and gasps rippled across the room.
I felt my father’s elbow nudge me to sit back down, but I ignored him, my gaze fixed on our Alpha.
Trying to marry me off to the Nightshade pack is the same as throwing me into a den of lions.
Everyone knows the crazy animosity between the two packs. They have recorded hundreds of deaths resulting from the constant attacks on each other, and they think marrying me off as a peace treaty would matter?
But I guess I’m not his daughter, and that doesn’t matter to him.
“I’m sorry, Blair, but that was a hard decision to make, and I hope you understand,” Luna said, standing up from her seat and approaching me. “It was a difficult one on our end. But they’re requesting a royal, and the closest thing to a female royal is you.”
“I have heard only good things about Dominus Jones,” my father finally interjected. “Trust me, Blair, we’re making the right decision for you.”
My heart sank... He is fully supportive of selling his only daughter off in some stupid peace treaty?
“Why?” My voice rang out, sharp and unwavering. “Why does it have to be me? You can pick any she wolf and tell them she’s a royal. Why must it be me?”
The Alpha’s jaw clenched, his expression hardening. “We can’t be dishonest. We can’t deceive the Nightshade pack and risk waging another war. You’re getting married to Dominus Jones, and that’s final.”
A low growl rumbled in my throat. I wanted to yell, to cry, and to tell them why I couldn’t be with Dominus Jones.
I didn’t give two fucks about his good records; his father had the worst of the worst records, so I didn’t care what his looked like. I just wouldn’t be with him. I wanted to be with my mate.
With that thought, I narrowed my gaze, turning to the one person who was supposed to have my back—my mate, Darius.
But once my eyes found him, I was confused. He didn’t seem angry that they were about to toss me off to the son of a mad Alpha.
Madness runs in their DNA.
Yet there was something about Darius that made my heart sink—he didn’t look surprised.
His posture was relaxed, his hand idly pushing around the vegetables on his plate. His gaze met mine, but there was no protest there, no sign that he was about to get up and fight for me like we promised each other.
We were supposed to be telling the whole pack that we were mates and getting ready to be married.
I’m nineteen, and in the next few weeks, I’d be done with pack high school before proceeding to law school.
I felt my stomach drop. My mate, the one I thought would roar the loudest, was sitting there as if nothing was wrong. His lips pressed into a tight line, but there was no anger in them—only a kind of… acceptance.
“What are you doing?” My voice broke, trembling with betrayal as I stared at him. “Say something, Darius! Tell them……..tell them that we are…”
Ronan’s sudden slam of the cutlery against the table cut me off, and we all watched as he walked out without saying a word.
For a heartbeat, silence weighed heavily over the dining table. Soon, everyone started to leave—from the Alpha to the Luna to my father until it was just me and Darius.
The sound of my heart shattering into pieces echoed louder than any growl could. I wanted to scream. I wanted to claw at his chest until he bled the way I was bleeding inside.
How could he sit there so calmly while they sold me off like a broodmare?
Suddenly, the realization hit me like a lightning bolt, and a harsh laugh escaped my lips.
“You knew?” My voice was sharp, still wrapped in disbelief. “You knew they were going to do this… didn’t you?”
The flicker of guilt that flashed in his eyes was all the answer I needed.
My knees buckled beneath me, and pain gripped my chest. The betrayal from my father was already crushing, but this? From my mate? It was a stab to my heart.

I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.

Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
