Introduction

Penelope is a young historian and innocent 24-year-old who travels to Greece on a pilgrimage to see the island of Cyprus, the origin of the Goddess Aphrodite. Penelope knows that she is a descendant of wolves, since her grandmother was a moon wolf. During the preparations for her trip to Greece, Penelope feels an attraction to her travel agent that does not go beyond a love affair, Gerard Key, a 28-year-old who often has precognitive dreams. Gerard is a werewolf, but Penelope doesn't know it.

Gerard dreams that he makes love on the island of Cyprus in front of a mirror on the island of Cyprus, Penelope's destination, to visit her goddess Aphrodite. Gerard's dream occurs days before Penélope arrives at her travel agency to quote her plane ticket. When Penelope flies to Greece, she discovers an ancient book next to an abandoned mirror, both buried on the island of Cyprus. Her curiosity leads her to discover the secrets of the diary and its author, an ancient priestess of Aphrodite who wrote the book, for which Penelope must delve into the unknown world of sexuality until she finds within herself a side she was unaware of and becomes a woman. Wolf moon. She will delve into the book and the mirror, until she becomes the last priestess of Aphrodite and consecrates her love to the god Apollo.

Chapter 1

The sound of the rain is heard as a caress and when it sounds against the asphalt I feel that it is a gift from the gods for me, that they have brought the rain tonight. I walk through the deserted streets and the footsteps that lead me towards it are the same that kiss the night sky reflected in the puddles. Then I move magnetized towards her hips as if a madness keeps me floating in the rain until I reach her. I don't know where exactly I'm going, but I know that tonight she's waiting for me.

When I look back, the lights of the cars are still on and the cars are empty, in the houses the lights are lost in the darkness that the night has brought and the people no longer live in those houses, the city remains deserted and I continue my way towards it. The rain grows and floods the streams that flow into the rivers and the sea, the waves embrace and the rough sea receives the cry of the sky, furious, angry, angry, passionate, while all the stress, all the problems that weighed on my shoulders are washed away by the rain.

At the end of the street, among the trees and around all the deserted houses a light remains on and I enter that house, for the door is open and the lamp that illuminates the property from the inside shines on the lawn and the rose bushes that grow and border the garden. I walk up the driveway and as I enter that house, it is completely deserted, with only a heartbeat that sounds to the rhythm of a song and fills the property with music. It is a song many times before tonight I had heard, it belongs to a rock band, Snow Patrol, Chasing Cars, it is my favorite song. As I enter the living room, it is devoid of furniture and in its place a single mirror, truly antique and beautiful, brings my reflection back before my eyes. The music continues to play like a light caress that brings the wind and expands inside the deserted house.

Like all truly beautiful and authentic things, this mirror in the main room is solitary because it is in an empty house, which is illuminated by the reflection of the lamp illuminating the glass until it bounces off every window inside the room, like a kaleidoscope with a single powerful and pure light coming from the mirror.

I look at my face in the mirror, I find my eyes, my face, my chin, my gestures that remind me of my father's, my expression shaken by life, its bad and good moments. Then suddenly a woman seems to be reflected in my pupils and as I go into the image of that woman she grows in the mirror and comes walking towards me from behind my back, when I turn around the first thing I notice is how pretty she is. She is really pretty, very pretty. Her lips are very full and deep red and her eyes shine like those of an owl full of wisdom, but her gaze expresses more than wisdom, she looks at me with a warm and catching ardor.

She walks up to me and reaches out her hand to caress my face, her movements are delicate and gentle and she is generous with her beauty. Her blonde hair falls in waves like water curtains behind her back, shiny and golden they are touched by the light coming from the mirror and I observe her face, she has the face of an angel, and her delicate and fine cheekbones form a delicate face next to a small and profiled nose. I stare at her without saying a word because to speak would ruin that moment which is perfect. She stares at me as the song continues to play eternally like the birdsong that embraces you in the morning. Then she walks taking a step closer to me with her hands on my chin, she strokes my beard and skirts my chin with her fingers, without thinking I leaned towards her and kissed her. Her lips were tender and her kisses ardent, she opened her mouth and pressed it to me, and an electricity pressed from my chest magnetizing me to her. Her taste is as sweet as vanilla, and the scent of roses, I feel myself going crazy with the aroma given off by her hair and her kisses. I pull away from her lips for a moment and catch my breath. As I look out the window it is still raining and the smoke coming from inside the house rises towards the windows until it fogs up all the glass and also the mirror in front of us, a scent of sandalwood and cinnamon coming from the smoke reminds me of the smell of incense sticks. The windows are opened by a strong breeze and the smell of rain falling on the trees and grounds gives off a scent of fresh grass and cedar coming from the trees. She remains silent looking at me with joy and her smile is now visible as a glow. Then she seems to be amused by it all, especially by my expression of bewilderment and surprise. She seems to be asking me to kiss her when she looks at me and her eyes sparkle with a smile. And so I do, now the music plays louder and she is beautiful all over and presses her body against mine as if she wants to make us one body. I kiss her chin and her necks and her whole body smells like flowers.

She takes me by the hand and leads me to another room, I walk with my shoes leaving wet footprints to an adjoining room, huge and spacious, where the windows continue to shine and a huge frame allows to observe the mirror that is in the other room, in front of the mirror there are now some cushions around the floor and a huge bed, big with a white carpet and white cushions around the carpet on the floor.

The song continues to play and now that she seems to be looking at me singing the same song from her gaze I suddenly feel nervous, but I move steady and calm, walking towards her, until I am in front of the bed, she lies down on the bed and her white dress frames her legs and hips, then I watch her as she slides onto the bed and generously gaze at her. Her hair falls down her back and her white skin is uncovered in an aberutra that has the skirt on her right leg, and in the neckline of her back. She has polka dots on her back, which go down in a sort of chain to her hips. The bed is full of pillows and is as comfortable and firm as heaven in a bed, and a scent of lavender wafts over me. She then remains sitting on her spread knees with her eyes fixed on me. Suddenly the Snow Patrol song stops playing and another music begins to play, which is augmented by the sound of the rain echoing from the garden and the cool breeze that permeates the place with rain and lavender, the candles move violently but do not go out, their flames grow and the heat in my chest spreads as I watch the woman in front of my eyes slowly unfasten her dress by pulling the white strips behind her neck.

Then her dress falls over her hips covering her legs and knees and I look at the sky in front of me, she is a Goddess. Although she is inches away from me I dare not touch her, and my face watches her from above as I am much taller, still, she has me at her feet.

“I just didn’t want you to see all my scars,” I whispered, feeling ashamed of my marked body.

From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.

One day I'm dealing with cranky toddlers and parents who work too much to actually parent, the next my life is turned upside down and I'm working in a bar for supernaturals. I might not know how to mix drinks, but strangely enough the skills needed to deal with misbehaving children seem to work well enough on vampires, werewolves and even witches. The good news is this job is interesting and hey, my boss might be a demon but I'm pretty sure that under all the grumpy expressions he is a total softie. The bad news is that humans aren't supposed to know about all this magic stuff and so now I'm magically bound to this bar until I can convince them that I won't go telling everyone. Or I die, whichever comes first. Sadly dying is seeming more and more likely because someone is after me. I don't know who or why but they are dangerous and they have magic. So I'll domy best to survive, and if that means spending some extra time with my scary but gorgeous boss then so be it. I'll convince him to trust me if it's the last thing I do.

"White wolf! Kill that monster!"
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis

Being second best is practically in my DNA. My sister got the love, the attention, the spotlight. And now, even her damn fiancé.
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.

"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
