Chapter 1
ARIADNE'S POV
"Make sure you catch their Luna and bring her to my feet!" I shivered fearfully and picked up my race as I heard this.
I can't get caught. I must not, I breathed heavily as I perceived the metallic smell of blood lingering in the air around my pack.
Right now, what I need is not comfort but speedy escape from the psychopathic demonic Rouge, Alpha that invaded my humble abode.
"Dear moon Goddess, Oh heavenly mother, save me. Save me from this havoc that befell my pack. You gave me this pack to lead, you can't take it back this way, please save me" I sobbed as I muster the words of prayer to the moon goddess.
I'm exhausted I must say, everywhere has been completely bathed with blood right from the moment they stepped in.
No peace of mind, not even a space to negotiate or ask the reason for the sudden invasion.
When I got to a Crossroad that leads to the entrance of the pack, I looked back at my people as they were being killed mercilessly by these strange warriors.
Another fresh set of tears hit my eyes. What other misfortune could have befall a female pack leader like me who had nothing but her pack?
I'm the Luna of Agatha Pack! My father left this pack for me before his death and I was marked by the Goddess.
Anyone marked by the goddess could lead a pack , so we can say that's my case.
After resting well enough, I continued running again aimlessly trying to find nothing but comfort.
'We shouldn't have left Aria, our people are dying Aria' Ava, my wolf sound very sad as she blamed me.
Yes, I'm foolish and supposed to be blamed for leaving my people there alone. But what can I do?
We don't have enough warriors as my pack is filled with women and aged people. I can't lay down my life either so what can I do than to flee?
As I continue to run, panic stung my heart like bee sting when I remembered the day I was pronounced as the leader of the pack.
These same people I'm abandoning accepted me despite being a female, that same night, my mate marked me and hence... I became
LUNA ARIADNE OF AGATHA PACK.
Even though my mate died in a war and my father died after being sick, these people never abadoned me.
Now, what have I done? I left them to suffer alone while I can't do anything but to flee.
Although, earlier this evening, no one was aware of the impending attack, we're literally caught off guard.
What should I have done? All the Betas, Lycans, Alphas and Gammas in my pack were completely at these rouges mercy.
After running for what seems like ages and I was completely far from Agatha, I stopped to catch my breathe beside a tree.
As I sat, the guilt refuse to leave me as it haunted me now and then. I sobbed silently again while praying silently in my mind.
Then 'Boom!' I heard another explosion from my pack and the wailing of children and women came to ears at moment making me hate myself even more.
I stood up suddenly and turned towards my pack, 'What are you going Aria?' Ava asked.
Yes, what are my doing? I wondered. With what power did I have to face those brutes?
Another wave of panic hit me and I slowly let myself get immersed in the self pity. Just as I turned around to continue my escape plan, a hand suddenly grabbed me from the back.
I struggled and kicked while shouting but the arms that grabbed me was way too strong, so I stopped kicking and calmed down.
Just as I did this, my captor's grip loosened.
I breathed heavily again and turned around to see who the wicked and benevolent person was.
But my relief was cut short immediately I find myself face to face with the most deadly rouge on earth.
ALPHA REGALEON!
No!, I staggered back. He can't be the one that led those people can he? If he was then I should consider myself and my pack gone.
I staggered back again and he would take a step closer. His piercing gaze seems to bore into my soul making me shiver down to the spine.
'Here my life comes to an end I guess' I said slowly to Ava through my mind and I could feel her sadness since she's in my mind.
She can't help me at the moment, I was cursed never to shift because my mate once died, as a Luna touched by the goddess, I won't be able to use my wolf abilities because my mate had died.
I gulped, unsure of what to do.
'Beg him Aria, plead with him if that will guarantee our safety from this power and blood thirsty beast' Ava screamed from my mind almost making me crazy.
I gulped again, Yes I think I should beg. Alpha Regaleon was rumored to be called AN ASSASSIN THAT KILLS FASTER THAN WOLFSBANE
Suddenly, this strange Alpha laughed maliciously, "The great, respected, infamous and most loved Luna Ariadne of Agatha Pack is running away while her pack members are dying......what will be the fate of the pack members?'
"What.... What ..." I stutter in surprise.
"Come with me!" Regaleon's authoritative and menacing voice growled at me making me shudder fearfully.
