Chapter 1
The wind howled through the dense forest, rustling the leaves of the trees and sending shivers down Cara's spine as she stealthily made her way through the trees. The full moon illuminated her path, but it wasn't the light that worried her, but rather the shadows hiding in every dark corner. She had been following a lead for months, a lead that had finally brought her to the heart of the conspiracy that had kept her captive for so long.
