Introduction
Steamy, dark content.
When my eyes opened, I found myself lying on silk sheets, my hands restrained with handcuffs.
The air became unreasonably cold as three vampires with their fangs out emerged, their eyes different colors yet familiar and terrifying.
I felt a slight slap on my thighs, and I whimpered as I spread them open.
————————
She was meant to be his blood slave.
But she was claimed long before he could mark her.
Nyx Vespera, the last of a slaughtered bloodline, is untouchable. Her blood is laced with a toxic magic that’s lethal to most vampires. But for the most powerful among them, her blood is a seduction they can’t resist.
Vale Orun Nömad, the notorious Vampire King, believed he could make Nyx his willing blood slave. But when he tasted her blood, he found himself ensnared. He was unable to resist the pull of her intoxicating power and their sizzling attraction.
Hawke Dubel, Vale’s most trusted subordinate, has always been by his side. But Nyx’s blood has a different effect on him. It makes him crave her not just for her blood, but for the power to own her.
Then, there’s the third man. A ghost from her past. Nyx’s first love, a vampire hunter whom she believed dead, now haunts her every step, demanding she submit to him once again.
What happens when a failed ritual forces her into the arms of three powerful, dangerous men? What will she do when the pull of desire is too great to resist, and her body betrays her every time they touch?
Can she escape the chains of passion they’ve wrapped around her, or will she surrender to the intoxicating desires that threaten to consume her and them completely?
Chapter 1
(Steamy, dark, and kinky content ahead. Be warned).
<Dark Desire - Book One>
I was about to drink the potent poison I spent the entire day concocting when I felt the eerie coldness of a powerful vampire’s presence.
“He is here..” I thought to myself, beads of sweat forming on my temple as I used my empty hand to grasp my dagger for safety.
I waited for this day for eight years. Now that it is finally here, I mustn't let my fear of the unknown prevent me from my plans. I trained for this. So I should trust in my ability.
If I also die in his hands tonight, I would still be proud of myself for taking down the ruthless vampire who slaughtered my family and had been terrorizing the United States for hundreds of years.
The front and back doors and windows were locked and he would never be able to come inside the house unless I invited him in. I assured myself with the lore I’d read from plenty of vampire stories and quickly consumed the powerful poison that could weaken even the strongest vampire.
A moment later, a sudden crash shattered the silence as my room’s window exploded inward, sending shards flying. I flinched and instinctively prepared to strike, but a guttural, ravenous growl erupted from my left. Before I could react, I felt a cold hand clamped around my neck.
The intruder leaned in and inhaled deeply as if savoring an appetizing meal, then released a sinister laughter.
With alarming strength, he slammed me against the nearest wall and sank his sharp fangs into my neck. A surge of heat coursed through my veins as he bit harder. I feel pain like other humans when bitten by a vampire but I was immune to their bite and poisons.
When a vampire feeds on my blood, they boil with intense sexual desire that could burn their soul and kill them if they are not powerful enough. I feel the desire too but I had spent years learning to control my desires.
Of course, my special, magical blood could never burn a vampire as powerful as Vale but along with the poison I consumed, he should be weak enough for me to abduct.
As he continued to drink my poisoned blood, his grip on my neck tightened.
I could feel the wave of weakness washing over him but his hold remained unyielding.
I was also acutely aware of his arousal pressing against my stomach and it ignited a burning desire within me.
I should be feeling pain as he fed on my blood but all I felt was an unbearable pleasure.
He might be my archenemy, but I found myself insanely curious to see his eyes after he finished.
“Your blood...” His voice fading into a soft groan snapped me back to reality and I quickly reversed our position. As our eyes met, he pressed his hard, lean body against mine and ran his tongue across his lips and fangs.
“tastes like a..” he paused to think. He appeared like he was pondering on the perfect word, then he said the one I least expected. “nectar.”
I felt a throbbing rush of pleasure.
It was so unexpected and overwhelming that it got me stuck in a trance.
My whole house was pitch dark. I had been expecting his arrival for the last five days because of his strange letters and the ominous dead rose flowers that accompanied them every time, but as I stared into his stormy blue eyes, everything else seemed to fade.
I got lost in the forbidden passion they promised, temporarily forgetting the blood feud between us.
How come he has the most gorgeous set of blue eyes and in the books they were mentioned to be blood-red with flickers of gold eyes? Was that not a significant error?
This moment probably wasn't the best time to be questioning the history books I'd been made to memorize and read on a daily basis so that I could have information on Vale Orun Nömad, but this vampire was too handsome to be the devil that was written about in the books.
“You are now my blood slave, Nyx. Do you accept your fate?” he growled.
I stepped back slightly, a dark smile playing on my lips before I swiftly drove my dagger toward his heart without hesitation.
His blue eyes snapped open in fury at the impact. For a brief moment, I thought I saw pain flash in them, but then he erupted into a hard, sinister laugh, making me realize something was wrong.
“You missed the spot, beautiful,” he snarled, his white fangs gleaming against the darkness.
I tightened my grip on the stake, refusing to show fear. “Maybe,” I retorted, “but I never miss twice.
He leaned in closer, his breath cool against my cheek. “Feisty. I like that,” he murmured. “But tell me, Nyx, how do you plan to kill me when you're already mine?”
I ground my teeth, filled with resentment and other emotions that I would rather not identify before I drove my wooden dagger deeper into his bleeding chest.
Years ago, I would have shit my pants at the sight of fangs, but I wasn't a scared little girl anymore.
I maintained eye contact with him, smirking coldly.
“I missed on purpose, bloodsucker,” I said, and he remained silent.
The once-pitch-dark room was now adorned with natural lights enough for me to see that he was staring at my lips.
Vale was losing lots of blood but his dire situation didn't seem alarming to him in the slightest. He appeared like he had everything under his control.
It was a facade. It had to be.
“Why did you want to kill me?” He asked, his once hoarse voice revealing a hint of the excruciating pain I suspect he should be feeling.
“You are a disease to humankind.” I spat and made an effort to yank my dagger from his chest, but he quickly pushed me away and hauled it out himself.
A gush of dark, red blood splurged out and he groaned out loud. His hand clenched on my dagger.
“What the hell is this weapon?” He threw another question at me but instead of answering I merely shrugged.
I might have missed the perfect spot because I was distracted by his piercing blue eyes but my plan was still going well. Allow him to feed on me then stake him, so the poison in my blood would weaken him and he wouldn't regenerate until the full moon then I or anyone would be able to properly stake him.
“What do you think it is?” I suggested, and I observed a real terror flash in his eyes before it was concealed by a dark chuckle.
“So the legend was true.” He mused with another sizzling chuckle and looked into my eyes like he was waiting for me to confirm it.
But I didn't. More like I couldn't.
I was distracted by the resonating timbre of his voice and its effects on me.
I cleared my throat and shook my head to get rid of filthy images of him in my head.
“Your wound won't heal... it might worsen as the full moon approaches. But my blood could heal you. It's just that... it would make you extremely aroused.”
He raised an eyebrow, nodding firmly as a big satisfied smile tugged his lips. “It would make me extremely aroused?”
I nodded, feeling a flush creep up my neck where his fangs had been. “Yes, it's a side effect of the healing properties in my blood. It intensifies... desires.”
I watched him step closer, his intense gaze locking onto mine. “And how do you propose we handle this... side effect?”

A PRINCESS IN DISGUISE; BOUND TO THE ENEMY KING
I fell to my knees, the cold marble digging into my skin. I had studied for years in the flickering candlelight, memorizing every herb and poison to pass the healer's exam. I wanted freedom. I wanted to save my mother from the servant's quarters. I placed second. I thought I had won my life back.
But the King didn't give me a badge of honor. He gave me a death sentence.
"Raven Thorne shall be wed to the King of Grok," he announced, his voice echoing in the silent hall. Now, I was the lamb being sent to the slaughter in her place.
They say King Liam drinks the blood of his enemies. They say he is more monster than man. And now, I have to walk into his bedroom, wearing the Princess's silk gown, and pray he doesn't tear me apart.
I looked at the King, tears streaming down my face. "I'll do it," I whispered, my voice trembling. "But my mother must be safe."
I sold my body and soul to a monster to save her. But when the carriage door opened and I finally looked into the Beast's golden eyes, I realized the terrifying truth...
He wasn't a stranger. He was the man I met in the woods.
