Introduction

On her eighteenth birthday, Aurelia thought she was finally getting her fairytale.

The hottest, most desired boy in school had asked her to be his girlfriend. After weeks of persuasion—from him and even her best friend—she decided to give him the one thing she had been saving...her virginity.

But when morning comes, nothing is as it should be.

Aurelia wakes up and finds beside her a man she’s never seen before.

The memories of the night before are nothing but scattered fragments, but one thing is clear—she gave herself to the wrong man.

And the truth?

He isn’t just any stranger.

He’s her boyfriend’s father.

A man whispered about in fear. A ruthless Mafia king of the underworld. Wealthy. Powerful. Untouchable.

What happened that night?
Who is really to blame?
And why does the man she should fear the most look at her like she now belongs to him?

In a world of secrets, betrayal, and forbidden desire, Aurelia is about to learn—some mistakes don’t just ruin lives…they bind them together.

Chapter 1

Aurelia Vale froze at the school entrance, her breath catching in her throat.

Standing there, as if he had stepped straight out of a dream, was Nico Moretti—the most popular, most desired boy in school, holding a bouquet of fresh red roses.

Waiting for her.

Her heart skipped.

Today was her birthday… and he remembered.

Just a few months ago, Nico hadn’t even known her name. Yet somehow, against all logic, she had caught his attention, and now, she was his girlfriend.

Even now, it didn’t feel real.

She knew girls like her didn’t date boys like him.

“Nico really loves you,” Bianca, her best friend, whispered beside her, nudging her lightly. “You’re so lucky.”

Aurelia felt her cheeks warm.

Lucky.

That was exactly how she felt.

Nico’s lips curved into a charming smile as she approached. Without hesitation, he handed her the bouquet and placed a soft kiss on her cheek.

“Happy birthday, sweetheart.”

Aurelia’s heart fluttered. “Thank you, Nico… I really appreciate it.”

“Well,” he said, eyes gleaming with mischief, “this isn’t all.”

Her brows lifted slightly. “There’s more?”

Nico reached into his pocket and pulled out a sleek black card, placing it gently in her hand.

“After school, go shopping,” he said casually. “No limits.”

Aurelia stared at the card, stunned. “You’re serious?”

Nico slipped an arm around her waist, pulling her closer. “Auri, you’re my girlfriend. You deserve the best.”

He pressed a quick kiss to her forehead before stepping back. “I’ll see you later.”

With that, he turned and walked toward his group of friends, who had been watching the entire scene with amused expressions.

Aurelia stood there for a moment, clutching the card and flowers, her heart full.

As she and Bianca made their way toward class, Aurelia couldn’t stop smiling.

Behind them, Nico joined his friends.

One of them leaned closer, smirking. “So… have you slept with her yet?”

Nico scoffed lightly. “Soon. She’s easier than she looks.”

They all laughed.

----

The boutique was nothing short of breathtaking.

Aurelia stood in the middle of it, completely overwhelmed by the racks of expensive clothing. Dresses, heels, accessories, everything looked like it belonged in a world far beyond hers.

“I don’t even know where to start,” she admitted softly.

She wasn’t like the other girls in school.

Most of them came from wealthy families. She didn’t.

Aurelia was there on scholarship, a fact she never forgot. In a few months, they would graduate, and everyone would go their separate ways.

Bianca, however, had always stayed by her side.

Their friendship had started when Aurelia helped her with schoolwork, and since then, Bianca had been nothing but supportive… even if she had her own elite circle that Aurelia didn’t quite belong to.

Bianca suddenly held up a delicate piece of lingerie, her eyes lighting up.

“This one is perfect.”

Aurelia blinked. “Why would I need that?”

Bianca stepped closer, lowering her voice. “Aurelia… you’re eighteen now.”

Aurelia’s stomach tightened.

“Don’t you think it’s time?” Bianca added gently.

Aurelia hesitated.

She was still a virgin.

And unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly a secret.

People whispered. They laughed.

But she had always believed she would give herself to someone who truly loved her.

“I… I don’t know if I’m ready,” she admitted.

Bianca’s expression softened. “Nico has been patient with you. He cares about you.”

Aurelia swallowed.

“Don’t you think he deserves it?”

The question lingered heavily in the air.

Bianca smiled reassuringly. “Tonight would be perfect. A birthday surprise he’ll never forget.”

Aurelia’s heart began to race.

“I’m scared…”

“You don’t have to be,” Bianca said, squeezing her hand. “I’ll help you. Everything will be perfect.”

Aurelia looked at her, uncertainty still flickering in her eyes… but slowly, she nodded.

That evening, back in Bianca’s room, shopping bags were scattered everywhere.

Aurelia stood in front of the mirror, trying on outfit after outfit.

She barely recognized herself.

The clothes were bold. Confident. Different from anything she had ever worn before.

“You look amazing,” Bianca said proudly.

Aurelia smiled shyly. “It’s not really my style…”

“It is now,” Bianca replied. “You’re dating Nico Moretti. You have to keep up.”

Aurelia nodded slowly.

Maybe Bianca was right.

Maybe this was what it meant to belong in his world.

Bianca reached into her drawer and pulled out a small bottle filled with a clear liquid.

“Take this.”

Aurelia frowned. “What is it?”

“It’ll help,” Bianca said smoothly. “Make your first time easier… and more enjoyable.”

Aurelia hesitated for a second, then nodded and slipped it into her bag.

“You’re sure I should just go to his house?” she asked nervously. “Without telling him?”

“Of course,” Bianca said. “It’s a surprise. He’ll love it.”

Aurelia took a deep breath, her heart pounding.

“Don’t worry,” Bianca added with a reassuring smile. “Tonight, everything changes.”

Aurelia forced a small smile in return.

“Tonight,” Bianca continued softly, “you become a woman… and finally secure your place in Nico’s life.”

Aurelia held onto those words as she picked up her bag.

She had no idea…

That this night would change her life forever.

Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.

"Kara." Cole’s voice drops. "Are you—did I hurt you?"
"No." "I'm fine."
"Fuck," he breathes. "You're—"
"Don't." My voice cracks. "Please don't say it."
"Aroused." He says it anyway. "You're aroused."
"I'm not—"
"Your scent." His nostrils flare. "Kara, you smell like—"
"Stop." I cover my face with my hands. "Just—stop."
Then his hand on my wrist, pulling my hands away.
"There's nothing wrong with wanting us," he says softly. "It's natural. You're our mate. We're yours."
"I know." My voice is barely a whisper.

I spent ten years as a ghost in the Sterling mansion—a debt slave to the triplet Alphas who made my life hell. They called me "Carrot," shoved me into frozen rivers, and left me to die in the snow when I was eleven.

On my eighteenth birthday, everything changed. My first shift released a scent of white musk and first snow—and three former tormentors stood outside my door, claiming I was their fated mate. All three of them.

Overnight, the debt vanished. Asher's commands turned to vows, Blake's fists became trembling apologies, and Cole swore they'd been waiting for me all along. They declared me their Luna and promised to spend their lives atoning.

My wolf howls to accept them. But one question haunts me:

Would that eleven-year-old girl, freezing and certain she would die, forgive the choice I'm about to make?
