Dark Obession: The Fallen Crown of the Fairykind
Chisom Maduako · Ongoing · 94.8k Words
Introduction
But with power comes envy.
On the night the sky turned a deep crimson, the kingdoms turned against them. Wolves ravaged their forests. Vampires seized the Pearl. Dark creatures emerged from beneath the mountains to complete the destruction.
The fairies were defeated.
Their wings were shackled. Their royal blood was hunted down. The remnants of their kind were relegated to the lowest status—servants, slaves, mere shadows of their former selves.
For years, Elarion forgot that the fairies had ever been its rulers.
But everything shifted when Lyra, a young fairy determined to change the fate of her people, collided with an Alpha heir and a vampire prince. Caught between revenge and obsession, she found herself in a complicated situation.
Chapter 1
Lyra adjusted the huge bag tied to her back for the tenth time, even though it wasn’t helping her nervousness at all. This was her first time stepping out of her home… the only place she had known since forever. A tiny wooden hut hidden deep, deep inside the forest, where sunlight barely touched the ground and the air always smelled like old magic and wildflowers.
That was her whole world.
Just her and her mother.
Her sweet mother who always spoke softly, always smiled warmly, always kept her close as if the world outside would swallow her. Lyra had never seen anyone else before not even once. She grew up thinking maybe it was just them in the world. Just two hearts living quietly far away from everything.
Then the invitation came.
A paper that glowed faintly, landing right in front of their hut like it had wings. Her mother held it for a long time before telling her the truth… that there were other people in the world. Many. Creatures she had never seen. A whole kingdom. A whole life Lyra never knew existed.
She didn’t even know how to feel.
Excited? Scared? Both?
What if people were kind, like her mother?
Or… cruel, like the stories her mother warned her about?
She sighed shakily, staring at the unfamiliar path ahead until she spotted the huge building peeking above the trees.
Nocturne Academy.
Just the outside alone made her freeze in place. It wasn’t like anything she had ever seen before. Tall black towers touching the sky, glowing symbols around the walls, arches shaped like wings and claws. The academy felt alive, like it was watching her approach.
She reached the gate just as a group of students ahead of her walked in. The moment they stepped through, a shimmering shield closed behind them.
Lyra panicked and ran, trying to slip in before it sealed completely, but as soon as she touched the barrier—
Boom.
The shield blasted her backward.
She hit the ground hard, her breath knocked out of her chest. Pain spread across her arms and back, and she winced as she pushed herself up slowly.
“W-What was… that…” she whispered, rubbing her elbow.
The shield still glowed in front of her, beautiful but intimidating. She hesitated before reaching out again, unsure if she should. Her fingertips were just about to touch the magic when—
“I’m sure you’ll regret that.”
Lyra jerked her hand back and turned quickly.
A girl stood behind her. Beautiful. Pale. Expressionless. She stared at Lyra like she had crawled out of the dirt.
Lyra smiled nervously. “Hello…”
The girl didn’t smile back.
“Where are you from? The ground?” she asked, voice flat.
Lyra blinked and shook her head lightly.
The girl scoffed. “Use your admission letter to get access. The shield only opens for that.” And just like that, she turned and walked in without even glancing back.
Lyra watched her leave, then whispered softly, “Thanks…”
She was smiling because she was talking to someonesomeone, someone who wasn’t her mother. It felt strange, but in a nice way.
She pulled out the glowing invitation and held it toward the shield. The magic reacted instantly, scanning the paper with a soft hum before the barrier parted like opening water.
Lyra stared at it for a moment, afraid but also curious. Then she finally stepped through.
Her breath caught in her throat.
Inside the academy was… unbelievable.
Students filled the courtyard. Some walked in groups, talking loudly. Some sat alone under the tall trees reading glowing books. A few stood in circles practicing spells sparks of magic flying around like tiny stars. She spotted a bridge leading over a sparkling river, and beyond that, a huge waterfall where students lounged with books or chatted softly.
Her mouth hung open the entire time.
Everything was so bright, so alive, so full of things she had never imagined.
People stared at her as she passed, whispering. Their eyes lingered on her face, her hair, She didn’t understand why, but she just kept smiling politely.
If only she knew…
They weren’t staring because she looked strange.
They were staring because she was the most beautiful fairy they had ever seen maybe the most beautiful girl in the entire kingdom.
Lyra tried asking a few students for directions, but no one answered. They only glared at her, their eyes cold, as if she had no right to speak to them.
She lowered her gaze, swallowing the tiny lump forming in her throat.
Then someone tapped her back gently.
Lyra turned. A very beautiful girl with long curly hair smiled at her.
“What do you want?” the girl asked, but her tone was surprisingly friendly.
“I’m new here,” Lyra said softly. “I don’t know where to go. No one answered me.”
“Ohh.” The girl’s smile grew a little. “They’re ignoring you because you’re a fairy. It’s… normal here. Come, I’ll take you to registration.”
Lyra frowned. “What is wrong with being a fairy?”
The girl shrugged lightly as they began walking. “You’ll find out later.”
And with that, the academy swallowed Lyra deeper inside… her quiet steps leading her into a world she didn't know.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
