Introduction
Chapter 1
Daisy
High school isn't just about classes; it’s an ecosystem designed to remind you exactly where you fit in.
Most people spend these four years making plans, hunting for dates, and trying to find a clique that will actually have them.
You’ve got the athletes ruling the halls, the popular girls treating the corridors like a runway, and the nerds just trying to survive until graduation.
Then, there’s me.
I’m Daisy. I’m the girl the cafeteria tables forgot and the "plus-size nerd" whose locker is a prime target for "accidental" protein shake spills.
Having a 4.0 GPA and a waistline that isn't a size zero apparently gives everyone at Oakwood High the right to treat me like a footstool.
I’ve become an expert at living in the margins. My life is a cycle of avoiding
the gym floor and the judgmental eyes of the girls in the front row. Our worlds don't mix—their designer hair highlights cost more than everything in my closet.
I’m just a ghost navigating the gaps in the linoleum, trying to stay invisible in a building that was clearly built for people who have much more to lose than I do.
But today? Today was the day the nightmare decided to level up.
"Move it, Cupcake," a voice rasped in my ear.
I didn't even have to look. That voice belonged to Liam Martinez. The star quarterback.
The golden boy with the jawline that could cut glass and a heart that was basically a block of dry ice.
He bumped my shoulder hard, sending my stack of AP Physics books sprawling across the hallway.
"Oops," he smirked, his dark eyes dancing with that cruel, playful light I hated. He didn't stop.
He just kept walking, his varsity jacket swaying, while his crew of Neanderthals laughed behind him.
"Pick them up, Daisy," I whispered to myself, my face burning. "Don't cry. Never let them see you cry."
I scrambled to grab my books, but a manicured hand reached down first. It wasn't to help.
Tiffany, the head cheerleader and Liam’s on-again-off-again queen, kicked my notebook further down the hall.
"Better hurry, Daisy," Tiffany giggled, her eyes cold as ice.
"You wouldn't want to be late for the only thing you’re good at…studying."
I swallowed the lump in my throat, gathered my shredded dignity, and ran.
The only good thing about my life was my mom. She worked three jobs to keep us afloat in our tiny apartment.
So when I got home, the apartment felt different. My mom wasn't cooking dinner. She was sitting at our tiny table with a thick stack of papers.
"Daisy," she said, looking excited but nervous. "I found a way out. The debt, the rent, everything is going to be okay."
She showed me the logo on the paper. It was a name that just by looking at it, one would know the family was incredibly wealthy.
"They need a tutor for their seven-year-old daughter, Chloe," Mom explained. "They want someone with a high GPA to stay over because the parents travel for work.
They’re offering a private suite for you, money for your college, and a salary that will pay off all our bills."
I frowned. "Wait, 'for me'?
What about your job, Mom?"
"They specifically asked for a student," she said. "Someone young who can connect with Chloe.
I already said yes. We move into their mansion tomorrow."
I felt like I’d won the lottery. A private suite? No more cramped apartment? No more protein shakes being "accidentally" spilled on my locker?
It felt too good to be true.
It was.
The mansion was like something out of a movie. All glass, steel, and perfectly trimmed bushes. It sat high on a hill, looking down on the rest of the city.
The air up here probably costs more than my monthly rent.
A butler led us inside, taking our suitcases for us. The entrance hall alone was bigger than our whole apartment.
My mom was glowing with excitement as she shook hands with Mrs. Martinez. The woman looked perfect, like she’d never had a single hair out of place.
"And you must be Daisy," Mrs. Martinez said, smiling at me. She actually seemed nice.
"Chloe is so excited. She’s wanted a 'big sister' for a long time."
"I'm happy to be here," I mumbled, squeezing the straps of my backpack.
"Liam!"
Mrs. Martinez called out toward the giant staircase.
"Come down here! I want you to meet our new guests."
My heart skipped a beat. My stomach dropped.
Liam?
No way.
There are a million Liams in this world. It couldn’t be him.
Then I heard the heavy thud of expensive sneakers on marble stairs.
A tall guy in a grey hoodie rounded the corner.
He looked bored, staring at his phone until he reached the bottom step.
Then he looked up. Our eyes met.
The room went dead silent.
Liam’s smug look vanished. He looked like he’d just seen a ghost.
"You?" he choked out, pointing a finger at me.
"Mom, you hired the nerd?"
"Liam!
Watch your mouth!"
Mrs. Martinez snapped, her face turning red. "Daisy is our guest and our new tutor. You will treat her with respect."
Liam looked at me, then at my mom, then back at me. Slowly, a wicked grin spread across his face, the kind of look a cat gives a mouse.
"Oh, I’ll treat her with something," he whispered. He leaned in close as his mom turned away to talk to mine.
"Welcome to hell, Cupcake. I hope you brought your running shoes."

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

Can he overcome his feelings towards having a mate and one that is so much younger than him? Will his mate want him after already feeling the sting of his unofficial rejection? Can they both work on letting go of the past and moving forward together or will fate have different plans and keep them apart?

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
