Chapter 1
• Hann •
Fuck!
I groaned loudly, irritated after seeing 5 dead bodies on the ground. The sweet, metallic taste of their blood still fresh in my mouth. I had killed them, drained them dry, or at least that’s what it would seem to others. A ruthless monster with only one desire and that was to kill. ‘Ruthless Monster? That’s a bit much don’t you think?’ I let out an annoyed sigh and ignored him. I ignored the beast inside of me, the real reason I was here, standing in front of 5 dead bodies.
They were all laying lifeless on the ground. Their heads had been ripped out and scattered everywhere. Their eyes were opened, the fear still visible on their faces. What he had done was beyond evil, but of course I was to blame. I had let him take full control of my body. I had lead them to their deaths. ‘You’re being a bit dramatic, they are meant to be killed in order for you to survive.’ He voiced and I took a deep breath ignoring him once again.
I needed to focus and find out where I was but first I needed to call my sister and make sure that what ever had happened didn’t reach the king. I took my phone out from inside of my pocket and saw that I had 20 missed calls from her. Fuck, I pressed ‘call back’ right away and she answered on the first ring. “Hello, dear sister.” I greeted trying to act normal. Something must’ve happened for her to call me 20 times.
“Don’t ‘hello dear sister’ me. Where the hell are you?” She yelled angrily, I rolled my eyes at her tone and looked down at the bodies. She acted as if she was older than me. Constantly yelling and lecturing me. But I wasn’t able to answer her question, I myself had no idea where I was. The bodies were all human. I must’ve been in the human world. That was the only explanation, unless they had trespassed into my own world.
“I don’t know yet.” I answered, looking around. I was clearly in the woods, that much I could tell. But where exactly, I didn’t know. I could hear cars and people walking and talking to one another from a distance. I needed to figure out where I was, because if it was indeed the human world, then I needed to leave before anyone sees me.
“What happened?” Haruna questioned, her question had confirmed that I was still safe. She wasn’t aware of what had happened. That 20 missed calls was probably her worrying as usual. If she wasn’t aware of what had happened, neither was the king.
I let out a breath of relief, kicking at the rocks on the ground as I started walking further away from the bodies. If the king had found out about this, my punishment would’ve been way worse. I couldn’t have that happen. I continued walking further until I was no longer in the woods. I needed to keep myself hidden, I’m sure I was covered in blood. I didn’t need people questioning me.
Leaving the dead bodies behind was already risky but I’m sure the police would cover it up once they find them and label the incident as an animal attack. That’s what they’ve always done in order to keep humans from finding out about us. Humans weren’t aware of our existence. They had no idea about our secret world. They were forbidden to enter and if they did, they were to be killed on sight.
“Abius. That’s what happened.” I finally answered her, trying to focus on both our conversation and my surroundings. I heard her sigh in annoyance and already knew what she was thinking. She hated this beast inside of me just as much as I did.
‘I hate her too.’ He commented but I continued to ignore him. I was not going to feed into his bullshit right now. He was the cause of this and I was beyond frustrated. But I had to stay calm and focused in order to remain in control. I couldn’t give in to my emotions right now. He’d just take over once again.
“What has he done this time?” She questioned, she knew what he was capable of and that scared her. I could hear it in her voice.
“5 dead human bodies.” I told her and I could hear her gasping from the other line. I had blacked out when Abius had taken over my body, which explained why I didn’t know where I was or how I had gotten here. I was unaware of the fact that I was killing people. A part of me liked it that way but the other part hated it. It hated the fact that I couldn’t do anything to stop it.
“You’re in the human world? Father warned us about going to the human world, what if-“ I quickly cut her off, annoyed once she mentioned him. I already knew what he would do to me if he found out. But he wasn’t going to find out. I would make sure of it.
“Nothing will happen. He won’t know anything and he won’t do anything.”

“You need to be faster!” Kevin yelled as he charged at me and was able to strike a punch to the right side of my face.
Fuck!
That hurt!
“I’m trying!” I yelled, taking a step back and touching my right cheek. The disgusting iron like taste quickly overpowering my taste buds. Great, the inside of my cheek was now cut opened. I took a deep breath to try and calm myself. I spat the blood out to the side and got back in a fighting stance. Kevin was stronger and faster than me, but he was right, I needed to be faster too. I took another deep breath and focused on his next move.
I exhaled as he charged at me once again but this time I was able to quickly move out of the way and grab hold of his right arm. I twisted his arm back and forcefully kicked his leg out, sending him to the floor. He landed on his stomach with a thud and let out a groan. His arm was still in my possession, giving me the perfect opportunity to sit on his back and lock his arm behind him. I applied pressure and smiled in satisfaction once I heard him groan even louder.
“You were saying?” I asked, feeling a little proud of myself as I twisted his arm again. This time he let out a scream but I ignored him and held it there. I was waiting for him to tap out so he could tell me that I did a great job. I knew he wouldn’t admit it but I needed him to if he wanted his arm back.
“Okay, okay.” He cried out, tapping out with his left hand. I let go of his arm right away and got up from on top of him. I watched as he got up and started rubbing his arm in pain. His eyebrows were knitted together as he examined his arm for any bruises. He was such a baby sometimes.
“Okay. That wasn’t too bad. But you still need more practice.” He stated once he stopped examining himself and looked up at me. I rolled my eyes at him and sighed, of course he wasn’t going to admit that I beat him. He never did.
”I think I’m good enough.” I told him, grabbing my water bottle and drinking from it. I swished the water back and forth to get rid of the blood in my mouth and then spit it in the nearest trash can. Fighting him was starting to get easier, I felt myself getting faster and stronger. I knew with more practice I’d reach his level sooner than expected.
“Have you packed everything for tomorrow?” Kevin asked, changing the subject. I turned around and looked at him. He had removed his shirt, causing me to stare a little longer than I was supposed to. He noticed me staring and cleared his throat. I removed my eyes from his body and looked up at his face, feeling my cheeks heating up. That man’s body was truly amazing. He spent most of his free time at the gym or training so I wasn’t surprised.
“Yes, I have.” I answered him, seeing the smug look on his face. Of course, he had done it on purpose. I looked away and grabbed my stuff. I used to have the biggest crush on him when we had first met. I had tried my hardest to hide it from him but in the end he found out and started teasing me. That was in the past tho, now it was just annoying. I slowly started loosing interest and started seeing him as an annoying older brother.
“I’m going out for a bit.” I told him and he nodded grabbing his stuff as well. I left the basement and made my way out the door. The night’s cool breeze slapped against my face, making me close my eyes as I enjoyed every bit of it. It felt refreshing after a long night of training. My thoughts went back to Kevin as I continue walking down the streets, him and I had met three years ago. He had saved me from a group of vampires that I had stupidly gone after all by myself.
My parents were killed by a vampire 10 years ago. I was only 13 at the time and couldn’t do much. I waited until I was older and did more research. I even took self defense classes but I guess that wasn’t enough. If Kevin hadn’t shown up when he did, I would’ve been dead in seconds. He probably felt bad for me and agreed to train me, which I then became his partner. I smiled, remembering everything him and I had gone through. I was truly grateful to have met him.
I focused back on where I was going and continued walking further down the side walk and onto the busy streets. I always enjoyed walking around after training. It calmed me down. The lights made everything shine so beautifully and the quietness was very pleasing. It was a great distraction from everything that was happening.
I turned a corner but was quickly disappointed as I bumped into someone, making me lose my balance. I fell flat on my ass and groaned as the pain radiated from my tailbone to my legs.

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...

On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
