Chapter 1
Amelia's POV.
His tongue slowly circled my nipples in what seemed like an erotic move and I didn't realize when a moan slipped from me. The sight of his muscles on top of my body and the way it flexed amazed me to the extent that I was transfixed and unable to move.
I knew I should have pushed him off and stopped him. I knew I should have said something when he had walked into my room in a daze and I smelt the alcohol on him like a thick layer of it had wrapped itself around him.
Marcus wasn't himself, he had drunk too much at the party downstairs in the hotel's grand hall and I had been too tired to figure out on time that I didn't lock my door until he staggered in mumbling words only he knew.
The sight of him in such close proximity with me when nobody was around kept me rooted to the bed and unable to say a single word. All these while, I had watched and loved him secretly from a distance but was unable to approach him because he clearly had no interest in anyone that wasn't Rose.
Other than that, he was a Wright and I was a Knight, both our families were rivals in all aspects and he would never accept me, mine would rather go to war with him than welcome him as a son-in-law and his would rather have me killed than welcome me as their daughter who is married to their son.
I jolted back to reality when I felt his tongue slide through my wetness. My gaze flew down and the sensational sight of him between my legs as his head bobbed up and down coupled with the fact that his gaze held mine with such intensity, threatened to knock the air right out of me.
Unable to control the shock waves of pleasure that shot through me, forced me to climax. Before I could process what was going on, my eyes flew open when I felt him push himself inside of me and with one stroke, he was fully sheathed.
A gasp slid from my throat accompanied by a moan.
"Fuck Rose! You still taste so damn good after all these years." He growled as he bit down on his lower lip and I froze.
Did he just say, Rose? Wait… he thought he was making love to his girlfriend? I was stunned and at the same time, I wasn't that surprised, I mean, why else would he have walked into a room and proceeded to make love with a woman if not that he thought she was his woman?
Not everyone is a psycho like you Amelia, I said to myself and made sure to remain silent while he increased the pace of his thrusts.
At this point, I should have stopped his advances, I should have said something but I would be lying if I said I didn't want him just as much as he wanted me, or should I say Rose. I met each of his thrusts and edged him closer and closer to orgasm.
He gave me immense pleasure and made me feel things I had never felt before, things I thought were only possible in books and movies.
As soon as he was done, he collapsed beside me on the bed with such a loud thud that one would have thought he just breathed his last. I had to confirm he was still breathing before I eased back into my space right beside him.
"You just had sex with a man that clearly mistook you for someone else," I said to myself, surprised at the lengths I could go for Marcus. But what really amazed me was the fact that I would do it all again in a heartbeat without a second thought.
"Rose… hmmm… Rose you're so…" I heard Marcus mutter beside me.
I turned to glance at him, probably correcting him at that point that he wasn't in bed with Rose, but he was already fast asleep so I didn't bother to wake him, it wasn't like I wanted to tell him in the first place.
As soon as I did that, I knew he would leave and I didn't want him to leave. I inch closer to him on the bed and rest my head on his muscular arms as I inhale his scent deeply.
I knew this would end soon, I knew that at one point, he would come back to his senses and figure out it wasn't Rose but before then, I would leave the room so that he wouldn't ruin the beautiful memories I had of him.
The plan was to leave after a few hours but I got so caught up in the warmth of laying in his arms that I didn't realize when I fell asleep. I had no idea how long I was asleep but the next thing I knew was that I heard a loud clattering noise and that woke me up with a start.
I sat up straight and it took a few seconds to process my surroundings and what was going on. I was still in the room and just when the memories of last night returned, I glanced at my side on the bed, only to find it empty.
He was gone.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I cursed under my breath as I reached out for my clothes. It took a few minutes of cursing and swearing at myself for falling asleep in his arms, to get dressed.
None of his clothes were in sight and with the look of things, he must have been so desperate to get away from me that he didn't even bother to ask why he was in bed with me and not Rose.
I grabbed my stuff and was about to leave too when a calm yet terrifying voice came from behind me with a chilling edge to it that made me stop dead in my tracks.
"And where do you think you're going?"
I froze at the sound of that voice. I knew just who it was without glancing backwards.
My heart began to race at such a pace that I assumed it was going to rip itself out of my chest. My chest was heaving heavily as I felt goosebumps pop out all over me at such an alarming rate.
Scared was an understatement, I was petrified but there was nowhere to run because I turned the lock and realized it was locked and the key was nowhere in sight.
I had to turn back.
Slowly, I turned to face the man behind me and my breath caught in my throat when I saw him leaning against the bathroom door with a towel on his wet shoulder. He had on only his pants and it hung loosely on his waist. The sight of his naked chest stirred emotions in me, wild thoughts I thought had passed with the night resurfaced and I would have drooled at the sight if our eyes hadn't locked and I hadn't seen that he was staring daggers at me.
The anger in his eyes couldn't be overlooked. He was furious and he didn't even bother to mask it.
"Don't you have shame?" He asked with an irritated voice and that caught my attention because I looked up at his face sharply from the floor. He had this stone-cold expression on him and he looked dead serious.
"Climbing into a drunk man's bed, how horny could you have been?" He scoffed and absentmindedly used the towel on his shoulder to wipe his wet hair.
It might have been a simple task to him but the sight of his muscles bulging as he wiped his hair coupled with the fact that his wet hair made him look so much more attractive, sent a tingling sensation up my thighs and it contracted at the thought of him thrusting into me last night.
"Are you even listening to me?" He snapped. His harsh tone brought me back to reality.
"Do you have any idea who I am and the consequences of climbing into my bed?" He added and I almost smiled but managed to hold myself back.
It would only make the situation worse.
"What's so amusing?" He growled as he pushed himself off the door and stormed towards me.
"But you came into my room, you climbed into my bed." I protested as I shrank back away from him, it was only when my back slammed against the door that I stopped trying to get away from him.
He was now so close that my body tingled at our close proximity.
"What do you mean by I came to your room?" He frowned.
Then he turned to glance around the room, his eyes widened in surprise when he saw that he wasn't in the room he had booked with his girlfriend for the night. He was about to say something when I heard someone insert a key in the door and turn the lock from outside.
I flinched and I felt his body stiffen. He must have heard the door unlock too because his expression turned ghastly.
He pulled me away from the door just in time for it to fly open and a man appeared in front of us with a disapproving scowl on his face.
He looked just like… I turned to glance at Marcus and then back at the man in front of me.
I gasped in shock when it hit me. How did I not recognize the most important person in the Wright family?

One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

“There are no limits between us,” he chuckled, the mirth sparkling in his gorgeous eyes. “And all of this stems from the night you gave me both pain and pleasure. I’m simply returning the favor.”
He took two steps forward, and I stepped back. “But…” The memory of what I had done filled me with fear, and I knew I had to get out of there. “I…”
“No, Firecat.” He placed an index finger on my lips. “This will take your mind off that son of a bitch.” His strong hands pulled me by the waist until I felt his hard manhood.
