From Prison To The Scorpion’s Bed
Naomi · Ongoing · 34.7k Words
Introduction
Sentenced to life in prison for defending myself against a vicious attacker, my world was reduced to concrete walls and endless survival. Until Logan Vance walked into the visiting room.
The ruthless billionaire offered me an impossible way out: marry him, and walk free. Desperate and out of options, I signed my life away without asking questions. The marriage comes with strict rules and a cold facade, terms I was more than willing to accept for my freedom.
But the illusion shatters the moment I discover why Logan really chose me. He didn’t pull me out of prison out of pity. He needed a weapon against his deadliest enemy—the very woman I spent my whole life mourning. My mom. She didn’t die in the fire I survived years ago. She is alive, ruthless, and actively plotting Logan’s destruction.
Now, I am caught in a lethal crossfire. I have to choose between the mother who abandoned me to a phantom death and the billionaire husband who became my unexpected sanctuary—before one of them destroys us both.
Chapter 1
Alina’s POV
A sharp pain throbbed behind my eyes as I tried to sit up. Where the fuck am I?
I groaned, prying my eyes open only to realize I was sitting directly on top of a blonde leg—and staring straight at an ass cheek. My brow furrowed. Wait. I’m into girls now? Never. So how the hell am I wrapped up with one?
I scanned the living room. Shit. I really need to stop hosting open-invite night parties, because my living room looked like a bomb had gone off.
“Yoo, get the fuck up!” I gave the blonde thigh a sharp smack and threw her a glare. She was practically using my favorite jacket as a pillow, and there was no way I was walking around naked when I was 100% sure my house was crawling with random guys.
The blonde let out a soft yawn, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. Holy piece of shit—she was stunning. Baby-faced, innocent, and—damn. Her pinkish nipples were flashing right at me.
Alina, snap the fuck out of it, I scolded myself. You’re straight. I only do dick and nothing else. I dragged my gaze away from her chest and up to her face, only to find her cheeks burning a violent crimson. Wait. Was she blushing this hard just because I stared at her tits?
“You can leave. Your services are no longer needed,” I said, frowning. Even if I did swing both ways, I wasn’t about to adopt some chronic simp who turned bright red at a glance.
“Um... Alina? Can I at least stay for the day? I don’t have anywhere to go,” she mumbled, burying her face. Her voice sounded small, completely cracked at the edges.
“You came here by yourself, no?” I raised a brow. What sick game was she playing?
“I came with my boyfriend,” she whispered, tears spilling over. “As soon as we got here, I saw him kissing another girl. When I called him out, he told me I was ‘too simple,’ broke up with me on the spot, and left with her.”
Oh, so your man can’t kiss another girl? What century are you living in, expecting a guy to be loyal?
“What’s his name?” I asked, shifting uncomfortably. I hated crying—mostly because I had no idea how to comfort myself, let alone a sobbing stranger.
“Stephen.”
I almost choked out a laugh. Stephen. That guy was a walking disaster. Not gonna lie, he had hooked up with me once, and the bastard was painfully good in bed.
“How the hell did you even end up dating a guy like that?” I asked, emphasizing the you.
“We met at a restaurant. He paid for my food, asked for my number, and we’ve been good ever since... until last night.”
“Okay, look. Your so-called Stephen probably spent the night with one of my regulars. So, wipe those shitty tears, help me clean up this mess, and then we’ll discuss whether you can stay.”
I reached up to tie my hair back. As I bent down to pick up my clothes, her chest brushed against my shoulder. I suddenly felt a soft hand brush against my boobs. I froze, raising a brow as I looked back at her.
“Your breasts are huge,” she blurted out. I snorted. Breasts? Do people still use that word?
“How the hell did I even hook up with you?” I slapped her hand away and yanked a oversized top over my head. It covered just enough to be decent while exposing way more than I cared about.
“A guy was harassing me at the party and you stepped in,” she explained, her face flushing a deep crimson again, refusing to meet my eyes. “We talked, I went to the washroom, and you followed me. One thing led to another, and... well, we landed on the sofa.”
I’m into boys and girls now? No fucking way. Though... maybe she was just too pretty to ignore. Just maybe. I cleared my throat and looked away as a couple of guys staggered down the stairs.
“Holy shit, Alina. Who’s this blonde? She’s hot!” one of them whistled, and the girl instantly ducked her head, shrinking into herself. I don’t even know her name yet.
I stepped in front of her, blocking their view. “Get out.”
They gave me a knowing look before shuffling out the front door one by one, leaving the two of us alone.
“They’re gone. Come on, let’s go find you some clothes,” I muttered, heading for the stairs. She scurried right behind me like an obedient puppy.
I pushed open my bedroom door—and instantly stopped dead in my tracks. A girl was straddling Stephen, riding him on my bed. The blonde stopped right behind me, letting out a sharp, audible sniff.
My eyes locked on a heavy leather boot sitting by the door. Without a second thought, I snatched it up and hurled it straight at Stephen’s head.
“You absolute cunt!” I roared, stepping into the room and shooting daggers at him. “You brought your girlfriend to a party just to cheat on her? Have some damn shame, you fucker!”
Stephen chuckled, casually dodging the boot as he grabbed his jeans and pulled them up. “Bella, really? You’re snitching on me now?”
“This one is completely different from the girl I saw you with last night, Stephen! And you won’t even apologize?” Bella’s voice cracked, vibrating with pure agony.
I glanced back at her. She looked utterly shattered. Ew. Why did I let this emotional wreck touch me last night?
“Bella, I’m a guy for fuck's sake. You can’t expect me not to fuck around,” Stephen rolled his eyes, walking over to her. He paused, giving me a lazy, evaluating look before turning back to her.
“Wait... Alina, you do girls now?”
“Shut the fuck up and get your filthy self out of my house,” I snapped.
“Whatever. I’m leaving with my girl,” he grunted, grabbing her wrist and trying to yank her toward the door.
“I’m not leaving with you, Stephen! Let go of me!” Bella snarled, snapping her arm back and diving directly behind my back. “I’m staying here.”
“Stephen. Leave,” I warned, my voice dropping an octave. “Fine. Bella don’t call me later,” The bastard rolled his eyes one last time, turned on his heel, and walked out without another word.
The heavy silence of the bedroom settled back over us. Bella looked up at me, offering a weak, trembling smile. My gaze drifted inevitably back to her chest, rising and falling with every shaky breath she took.
Alina, I told myself, get a grip. You are not some pathetic teen who’s never seen a pair of tits before.
