As a shocking revelation unfolds, Monica's world is turned upside down, forcing her to question her choices and decisions.
Chapter 1
Alpha Damon's words cut through the air like a sharp blade, filled with anger and disappointment.
"You must marry Fiona immediately if you want to remain my son," he demanded.
The response came from Conrad, his voice filled with defiance.
"But Dad, I don't love her," he confessed.
Alpha Damon's disapproval was evident as he questioned Conrad's feelings.
"So, you prefer that lowly Omega instead?" he asked, his tone emphatic.
He continued, trying to reason with his son.
"Think about your future as the next Alpha of our pack. You can't possibly love a low-level omega like that woman, son!"
The weight of their words crushed my heart, tears welling up in my eyes. I couldn't bear to witness the scene unfolding before me, so I turned and ran, desperate to escape their judgment. I knew I could never compete with a daughter of the Alpha, and Conrad would have no choice but to obey his father's wishes.
It was a painful realization, but I had to accept that Conrad and I would never be together. With tears streaming down my face, I hurried back home. Bursting through the door, I was greeted by my step-brother, Marcus.
Without hesitation, I threw myself into his arms, seeking solace. "Brother," I whispered, my voice choked with tears. Concern etched on his face, Marcus gently inquired about what had happened.
"Tell me, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice filled with compassion.
"Just hold me, please," I pleaded, needing his comforting presence.
Marcus understood my need for support and held me tightly, allowing me to release my emotions onto his shoulder. As we embraced, he whispered words of encouragement, assuring me that everything would be alright.
"Don't cry, Monica. It'll all work out," he comforted me.
When I finally pulled away, a sense of relief washed over me. I had desperately needed someone to confide in, and Marcus had been there for me, offering a shoulder to cry on.
"You can tell me anything, Monica. I'll always be here for you," he reassured me gently.
I was grateful for Marcus's care and love, even though we weren't siblings by blood. He made me feel cherished and loved, and I couldn't help but feel like the luckiest sister in the world.
"I know we may not share blood, but I want you to understand how incredibly fortunate I am to have you as my stepbrother," I expressed softly, gazing into his eyes.
"Can you open up to me now? I'm here to listen," he responded calmly.
After a few moments, I mustered the courage to share the pain that consumed me upon learning about Alpha Damon's intentions for Conrad. He acknowledged my heartbreak, recognizing that I would no longer have the chance to be with the man I had loved for so long.
"I can feel your anguish. It's evident that you're hurting. However, if he truly loves you, he will choose you over his father's desires," he asserted firmly. He embraced me, offering comfort and reassurance. He promised to stand by my side no matter what, vowing to do whatever it takes to bring happiness into my life.
"Please don't be sad, Monica. It's time for you to move forward. He's a fool to let go of such a beautiful woman like you," Marcus playfully pinched my cheeks.
I felt grateful to have someone who understood my pain and was willing to support me through it. With Marcus by my side, I was determined to navigate this challenging period with strength and dignity.
"I need some time alone," I murmured sadly.
Marcus simply nodded, gently patting my shoulder before I ascended the stairs to my room.
As I entered my room, tears streamed down my face. The pain in my chest was unbearable. The thought of the man I loved marrying another woman was unimaginable.
Yet, I knew my place as a humble Omega and a low-ranking wolf. Restlessness and depression consumed me during those hours. Suddenly, I heard a commotion outside. Conrad's voice echoed, calling my name from beyond the house.
"Monica!" he shouted.
"Monica, come out. Let's talk," he pleaded.
I could hear Marcus engaging in a conversation with him. Their voices grew louder, and I couldn't bear to stay in my room any longer. Descending the stairs, I found Conrad standing at the door. Our eyes locked, and my heart constricted. Taking a deep breath, I tried to calm myself.
I had no idea how to confront him about his impending marriage to Fiona.
"Leave now," I uttered tersely.
"Sweetheart, please, just talk to me," he begged.
"Let's go home now. There's nothing more to discuss," I firmly stated, pushing him away.
"I won't leave until you talk to me," he insisted, his determination evident.
"She doesn't want to talk to you. Can't you understand that?!" Marcus interjected loudly.
"I'm not talking to you, so just shut up!" he snapped back, his face contorted in a frown.
Before things escalated further, I reluctantly agreed to have a conversation with him. Perhaps it was necessary for closure after our separation. My chest felt tight, and even my nerves were trembling at that moment.
"Alright, let's talk," I said, trying to sound resolute.
A smile formed on his lips, and I couldn't help but feel vulnerable again when I saw it.
His gaze was intense as he looked at me, causing me to quickly avert my eyes.
"What else do we need to discuss?" I inquired.
"Listen to me, my love," he responded gently.
"Everything is clear to me. I heard what your father said, Conrad," I asserted firmly.
"Did you also hear my response to him?" he questioned.
"It doesn't matter what your answer is. I knew from the beginning that being Alpha is important to you," I replied.
"Do you think my desires are more important to me than my happiness?" he asked.
"What do you mean?" I inquired, curious.
"Monica, you are my happiness. Yes, I want to be Alpha, but what if I'm not happy?" he said, a genuine smile gracing his face.
His words brought a smile to my own lips, and he gently cupped my cheeks. We simply stared at each other in that moment.
"I love you more than anything, my love. I choose you, so I hope you trust in my love for you," he sincerely expressed.
"Will you defy your father's wishes for me?" I questioned.
"It's my life, my heart. He can't dictate the path I choose. I can't bear to lose you," he emotionally confessed.
"I love you so much, my love. I can't bear to see you marry another woman. Please, only marry me," I responded, overcome with emotion.
"Of course. I love you, and I will never leave you. That's a promise!" he vowed.
My heart found solace in his words, putting my worries at ease. In an unexpected moment, he leaned in and kissed me, and I reciprocated the gesture. We exchanged smiles, and in that moment, pure happiness enveloped me. However, our bliss was interrupted by the sudden ringing of his phone. Without hesitation, he answered the call, revealing that his father was on the other end. He bid me farewell, explaining that he needed to speak with his father about our relationship. He assured me that he would fight for us and promised to return to marry me.
"I'll be back, okay?" he said, his smile comforting.
"I'll wait for you, my love," I replied, returning his smile and planting a gentle kiss on his lips.
After some time, I made my way back home. As I entered, I noticed a grave expression on Marcus's face.
"Why the serious look, Marcus?" I playfully teased him.
To my surprise, he didn't crack a smile or laugh at my remark. His intense gaze made me feel a strange sense of unease. However, I pushed away any negative thoughts, reminding myself that he was my stepbrother and it was uncertain if he would ever harm me.
"You two seem so perfect together, Monica," he said.
"We're fine now. He explained everything to me, and he won't leave my side," I replied, a smile gracing my lips.
Without hesitation, Marcus approached me, taking hold of my hand and planting a kiss on my lips. I was taken aback by his actions, feeling a mix of surprise and fear.
"What are you doing, Marcus?" I asked nervously.
He simply responded with a smile, leaving me utterly shocked and screaming in disbelief.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.
