Wait… Wife?
Now entangled in a scandal she didn’t plan, married to a stranger that ticked all her boxes, Anna has to decide if she truly wants Revenge or Love.
Chapter 1
An elegant woman dressed in a black knee length dress and red heels walked into the grandeur hotel all smiles.
Her legs were slender, her steps poised.
She stared at the text on her phone repeatedly and couldn’t help but smile.
Her husband had invited her for dinner at one of the biggest hotels in the whole of New York City. But that wasn’t why she was happy. She was happy because he finally took time out of his busy schedule to be with her.
She approached the front desk of the reception area, a bouquet of roses wrapped around her left arm. ‘’I’m here to see Jeffery don. What room is he in?’’
‘’I’m sorry ma’am. We can’t disclose any information about our client. Can I know who you are?’’ The receptionist replied politely.
‘’I’m Anna don, his wife’’ Anna said, acknowledging how professional the receptionist was in keeping her clients information confidential.
The receptionist face twisted. ‘’Wife? But he already came with—‘’
‘’It’s fine.’’ Anna interrupted. ‘’I know how the hotel policy works and I know you’re just doing your job. But I was invited by my husband. And I plan on surprising him. Is it okay if I get the key card to his room?’’ Anna continued, staring at her pleadingly.
The receptionist sighed, hesistantly pulling the key card to Jeffery don’s room before handing it over to Anna.
‘’Thank you so much! And please don’t let him know. Like I said, it’s supposed to be a surprise.’’ Anna added. She watched as the receptionist bobbed her head positively before turning and heading towards the elevator with the key card in hand.
Minutes later, she stepped into the 15th floor and headed for Room 10. Once she got there, she swiped the key card against the door and it opened.
She smiled, pulling the handle and entering the room.
But as she stepped further into the room, the sound of moans pricked her ears.
‘’Ah fuckkk…’’ Jeffery moaned, his balls slapping against marissa’s thighs as he plunged into her harshly.
‘’Yess! Harder..!’’ Marissa screamed, the pressure of his thrusts building up in her stomach.
Her nails dug through his back as he fucked her senseless, her eyes rolling to the back of her head with pleasure.
It eventually rolled right back to its socket and she jumped, her gaze landing on Anna’s stunned figure.
‘’Anna?’’ She called out, not sure if she had seen right.
‘’What do you mean Anna? I’m fucking you and you’re moaning my wife’s name?!’’ Jeffery whisper-yelled, his thrusts not lessening regardless.
‘’No. Anna!’’ Marissa said again, pointing towards Anna’s direction.
Jeffery turned his head, his eyes following her hand gestures. And when it landed on Anna, he pulled away from marissa quickly, bolting up to get his clothes.
‘’Babe! What are you doing here..?’’ He called out sweetly, heading over to her.
His fly was still open, cum dripping from his dick as he approached her.
Anna backed away, tears stinging her eyes. ‘’Why did you ask me to come here?’’
‘’What do you mean?’’ Jeffery asked in confusion, trying to reach for her again but she stepped back.
‘’Is this what you wanted me to see? You wanted me to see you sleeping with my sister? Does this arouse you?!’’ Anna screamed, the tears already flowing uncontrollably.
‘’Babe what are you saying? Why would I do that? Why would I ask you to—‘’ Jeffery paused, turning his attention to Marissa who was still naked.
‘’Did you send a message to her on purpose?’’ He snapped, angrily glaring at Marissa.
‘’So what if I did? She deserves to know that you don’t love her.’’ Marissa replied nonchalantly, gripping the sheets tightly.
Sheets that did little to hide her huge bossom.
‘’Moreover…you should tell your ‘wife’ the truth. Instead of pretending like she ever meant a thing to you.’’ Marissa continued.
‘’Marissa stop it! Let me talk to my wife. We don’t need you sorting out our problems. Babyy—‘’
‘’What is she talking about?’’ Anna snapped, cleaning her tear stricken face. She looked towards her sister who now had a sly grin and then to her husband whose face had turned pale. ‘’Tell me. Now!’’
‘’It’s not what you think Anna. Don’t listen to her.’’ Jeffery tried saying but Anna was no longer paying attention to him.
Her attention was now fixed on Marissa who pulled out a paper from her bag and stretched it towards her.
Pushing past Jeffery, Anna took the paper, her eyes scanning it’s content.
It was her marriage certificate.
‘’What am I supposed to do with this?’’
She asked, staring at Marissa in confusion.
‘’Read the clauses properly.’’
Anna stared at her warily but sighed, flipping through the paper.
Her eyes bulged as it stopped at a particular clause. ‘Party A (Anna joe) offers to give up all right and property owned to her to Party B (Jeffery don) after they get married.’
Anna’s lips quivered as stared at the clause in disbelief.
How could Jeff do this to her?
Everything was starting to fall into place. Jeffery only married her for her father’s property!
He had been her father’s financial manager when he was still alive. He must have known of his fortune and greedily married her so he could have it for himself. Her sister had been in on it too. Her step mother too! Everyone lied to her!
She crouched down in defeat, tears falling like a dam had broke. ‘’Why? Why did you do this to me?’’ She asked to no one in particular.
Jeffery smirked, his facade dropping.
‘’Well… since you already know why I got married to you. Here..!’’ He spoke up, reaching for his suitcase.
He pulled out a piece of paper and walked to where Anna was wallowing in self pity, throwing it at her. ‘’Sign the divorce papers.’’
Anna raised her head, staring at him in disbelief.
He lied to her, used her, ruined her and she was the one getting slammed with a divorce paper?!
The same divorce paper that would make her lose everything she has including the property her late father left her.
Angered, she stood up, glaring daggers at him.
Without thinking, she raised her hand and striked him across the face so hard, he had a nosebleed.
Jeffery wiped his bloody nose as he glared daggers at her, stunned by her actions. He had never seen Anna this angry.
Before her hand could collide with his face for the second time, he shoved her hands away, the impact coming stronger than he imagined.
Anna stumbled backwards, her head hitting the bed side table harshly.
She could feel blood trickling down her head while her eyes were blurry, not just from tears but from dizziness.

The Family Sacrifice
I simply said one word: "Okay."
My parents and Gilbert were stunned. They rushed to have me sign the voluntary donation form, afraid I’d change my mind.
Some days later, they sent me to the operating room.
Dad said, "Yvonne will finally be saved. We're so proud of you."
Mom said, "After the surgery, we'll make it up to you."
Gilbert looked tenderly at Yvonne and said, "When you're better, where should we travel?"
What they didn't know was that the day I agreed, I'd just received my diagnosis, stage four cancer. Three months to live.
As I lay on the cold operating table, as the anesthesia began to take effect, I only wanted to know one thing:
If I die on this operating table, will they regret it?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
