Introduction
"Lavinia is back," he stated coldly. "It's time you stepped aside. After all, she is the one who gave me a son."
I froze, clutching the hand of our adopted son—the boy I had raised and loved with my whole heart for years. The truth hit me like a physical blow: I had been raising his mistress's child as my own all this time.
My fingers tightened around the pregnancy confirmation hidden in my palm. I forced down the bile rising in my throat, looked him in the eye, and demanded a divorce.
Six months later.
I stood at the airport departure gate, looking down at my ex-husband. He was on his knees in front of everyone, begging.
"Scarlett, please! Don't leave. I know about the pregnancy... I'm that baby's father!"
I let out a cold, sharp laugh.
"No. This baby is mine and mine alone. He doesn't have a father."
Chapter 1
"Mr. Getty, one last question!"
At the global launch event for Summit Innovations Group's flagship game 'God's Instructions,' a reporter snagged the final question just as the event was winding down.
Countless camera flashes converged instantly, pushing the venue's atmosphere to its peak.
"Mr. Getty, Luna, the heroine in 'God's Instructions,' has been incredibly popular. Her stunning beauty and unique voice have turned her into a superstar-level virtual idol. Rumor has it that you personally selected the voice of this character. Could you share with us what inspired Luna's creation?"
This question drew immediate attention.
On stage, Thaddeus Getty stood in a perfectly tailored bespoke suit, his presence calm, imposing, and dignified, like a living deity.
In the shadows, at the far end of the venue, Scarlett Savoy's heart leapt to her throat, momentarily forgetting to breathe.
Because she was Luna's voice actress.
Scarlett wore an understated black velvet gown, no makeup, with oversized black-framed glasses and a mask that concealed nearly half her face.
She looked quietly at the radiant Thaddeus on the stage.
Thaddeus.
Her husband of two years, in a marriage kept secret from the world.
Under the spotlight, his usually expressionless face softened slightly, a trace of tenderness spreading through his features.
His gaze moved past the crowd, landing on the first row of the VIP section.
The camera knowingly followed.
Sitting there was Lavinia Collins, a popular idol dressed in a flowing white gown, her hair gently curled and her makeup flawless.
She smiled gracefully, her eyes conveying a mixture of playful reproach and delight.
Thaddeus spoke, his magnetic voice carrying clearly throughout the hall.
"I created Luna to fill a void, to fulfill a dream that was delayed for many years," he said, his gaze remained fixed on Lavinia's direction, his voice carrying an unprecedented tenderness.
"Luna represents the most perfect existence in my heart, the one I most yearn to protect."
Thaddeus paused, his voice growing even softer.
"Her soul originates from a light that pulled me from darkness many years ago. Today, I want to present this gift to her."
In front of everyone, Thaddeus walked toward Lavinia, took her hand, and spoke with a reverence Scarlett had never heard before.
"Lavinia, you are my only Luna."
The venue erupted in thunderous applause, flashes illuminated the couple on stage, bathing them in radiant light.
Scarlett stared blankly at the passionate Thaddeus on stage, feeling like a fool amid the deafening cheers.
The work into which she had poured her soul.
Her twenty years of silent love.
At this moment, it all became a joke.
Suddenly she began to wonder if it had been wrong, from the start, to promise Thaddeus's grandfather, Owen Getty, to marry a man who didn't love her?
Thaddeus and Lavinia were surrounded by media and celebrities at the center, looking like a couple.
Scarlett, holding a glass of champagne, made her way through the mingling crowd to the secluded terrace of the venue.
The cold wind and drifting snow brought clarity to her confused mind.
Footsteps approached from behind.
Thaddeus appeared, having seemingly just escaped the crowd, his brow showing a hint of impatience.
Seeing Scarlett, that impatience deepened.
"What are you doing here?" He asked coldly, as if interrogating an employee who shouldn't be present.
Scarlett turned around, removing her mask to reveal a face that was plain yet undeniably sad.
Meeting his icy gaze, her voice trembled, though she barely noticed.
"Why?" She asked.
Thaddeus frowned slightly. "Why what?"
"Luna," Scarlett's nails dug deep into her palm. "Why did you say Luna was inspired by Lavinia? You know perfectly well how much of myself I poured into that character!"
In the project's early stages, Luna had only a basic visual concept. It was Scarlett who wrote thousands of words detailing the character's backstory, who even improvised those famous, brilliant lines that became iconic.
It was she who breathed life into the character.
Scarlett had humbly hoped that when Thaddeus heard the voice she created for this character, he might appreciate the character itself, if only for a moment.
Hearing this, Thaddeus first looked startled, then, as if he'd heard the biggest joke, his lips curved into an utterly mocking smile.
"Scarlett, are you confused about something?"
He stepped forward, his tall figure completely overshadowing her, his tone filled with contempt.
"As a voice actress, you completed your job and received the industry's highest compensation."
"Scarlett, that was your job, a commodity with a price tag. Don't assign it a meaning it shouldn't have. Giving you this role was an opportunity from Summit Innovations Group. As for who inspired me, that's my business. What right do you have to question it?"
Scarlett froze.
He was right.
What right did she have?
She's just a woman who relied on Owen's favoritism to get her to marry him.
An accessory he could summon or dismiss at will.
A wife whose name he didn't even deem worthy of making public—kept hidden in shadows.
Scarlett smiled, yet tears welled up uncontrollably.
Looking at the handsome but incredibly cruel Thaddeus before her, something she had held onto for twenty years crumbled at that moment.
Two years of marriage, and he had always remained cold toward her.
She thought it was just his nature, that if she was gentle and considerate enough, she could eventually melt this iceberg.
So she gave up the glory and opportunities that came with being "Hymn," dimmed all her brilliance, and strived to play the role of a perfect wife.
Scarlett recalled how, six months ago, she had twisted her ankle on the stairs and couldn't stand from the pain. When Thaddeus came down, he merely glanced at her before walking past and out the door.
Not a single word of comfort.
She had consoled herself then, thinking he was just too busy with work, too cold by nature.
But today at the launch, she saw the tenderness and affection in Thaddeus's eyes when he looked at Lavinia.
It turned out he wasn't incapable of tenderness; his tenderness simply never belonged to her.
It wasn't that she hadn't tried hard enough.
It was that she, as a person, had been wrong from the start.
"I understand now."
Scarlett withdrew her gaze. Without looking at Thaddeus again, she turned and left the bustling reception hall.

"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

The Lycan Kings and the White Wolf.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
