Kiss Me For The Camera
Precious Amao · Ongoing · 102.2k Words
Introduction
The only problem is that the producers choose Lena Brooks as his fake girlfriend.
The same Lena Brooks who publicly wrote an article calling him “the most selfish athlete on campus.”
Now they must pretend to be the university’s perfect couple in front of cameras 24/7 while hiding how much they genuinely dislike each other.
But behind the staged dates, scripted kisses, and viral interviews lies the truth:
Kai is struggling with grief and anger after his brother’s death and Lena is secretly drowning under family pressure and financial problems that could force her to leave school.
The more they fake their relationship for the cameras, the more real their feelings become and when a devastating secret from the night of Kai’s scandal resurfaces, their relationship, futures, and hearts are put at risk.
Chapter 1
Lena Brooks hated two things in life.
Athletes and cameras.
Unfortunately for her, Westbridge University seemed determined to surround her with both.
The flash of a camera hit her face as she stepped out of the lecture hall, forcing her to blink twice before adjusting her backpack strap tighter on her shoulder.
“Lena! What do you think about Kai Ryder’s suspension?”
“Do you regret your article?”
“Was it too harsh calling him reckless?”
Her stomach tightened.
So it had already gone viral, of course it had.
She did not answer.
She never did when they sounded like that.
Instead, she pushed through the crowd of students and media interns waiting outside the journalism building, her jaw locked tight as whispers followed her like shadows.
She wrote the Ryder piece, she ended his reputation, she wants attention.
Lena almost laughed at that last one.
If they knew she was working double shifts at a diner just to stay enrolled, they would not be calling her desperate for attention, they would be calling her exhausted.
Across campus, Kai Ryder did not walk through crowds. Crowds moved for him, at least they usually did.
Now they parted out of curiosity, not admiration.
The whispers were sharper and angrier here.
“Did you see the clip?”
“He snapped live on air.”
“His brother would be ashamed…”
That last sentence hit harder than the others.
Kai’s jaw tightened as he walked past the hockey arena, hands shoved deep into his hoodie pocket.
He did not look at anyone, he did not need to because he already knew what they saw.
They did not see a captain, neither did they saw a star player, nor even a student anymore, just a mistake in motion.
A headline waiting to happen.
And somewhere on campus, the girl who wrote it was still breathing.
Lena did not expect to see him that day.
She definitely did not expect it to be inside the Westbridge media studio. But when she walked in for her assigned interview prep session, she stopped so suddenly her notebook nearly slipped from her hands.
Kai Ryder was already there.
He was leaning back in the chair like he owned it, putting on a dark hoodie, has a bruised knuckles and his expression completely unreadable.
The room felt smaller instantly.
“Perfect,” the producer said, clapping her hands. “You are both here.”
Lena slowly turned.
“Excuse me?”
Kai’s eyes lifted at the same time.
And for the first time, they actually saw each other.
Not headlines, not articles, not clips but just presence.
The producer smiled like she had just set fire to something expensive.
“This is Lena Brooks,” she announced.
Kai did not move.
“And this,” she continued, “is Kai Ryder.”
A pause.
Then,
“Oh,” Kai said flatly.
He said just one word but it carried enough irritation to fill the room.
Lena crossed her arms. “Oh?”
The producer glanced between them like she was watching a match she had already rigged.
“You two already know each other, I assume.”
Kai tilted his head slightly.
“I know her article,” he said.
Lena did not blink. “And I know your reputation.”
There was an abrupt silence. It was heavy and sharp.
The producer looked thrilled.
Perfect!
This was exactly what she wanted.
Kai stood up first.
He was taller than Lena expected.
Not just physically but in presence like the air shifted around him without permission.
“You think you know me,” he said.
Lena did not step back.
“I think I know enough.”
That made something flicker in his eyes.
Not anger but something worse and that was recognition because people usually feared or admired him.
She did neither.
Before either of them could say more, the producer slid a folder onto the table.
“Campus Match,” she said brightly.
Lena frowned. “What?”
Kai did not look surprised.
That alone should have worried her.
“It is a campus reality show,” the producer continued. “We pair influential students together. Romantic partnerships. Public engagement. Social media growth.”
Lena stared. “This is a joke.”
“It is not,” Kai said quietly.
That made her look at him again.
He was already reading the contract.
Jaw tight, eyes colder than before and then Lena stepped forward. “Why are we here?”
The producer smiled.
“Because you two are the most viral conflict on campus.”
There was a sudden pause.
“And we think,” she added, “you would make the perfect fake couple.”
The room went silent.
Lena actually laughed once but it was sharp and unbelieving.
“You want me,” she said slowly, “to fake date him?”
Kai did not look at her but his voice came out low.
“No.”
A pause.
Then,
“Hell no.”
The producer did not flinch.
“It is either this,” she said calmly, “or Kai loses his place on the team.”
That changed the air instantly.
Kai’s hand tightened slightly.
Lena noticed that but the producer continued.
“And Lena loses her scholarship funding.”
Now it was her turn.
Her breath caught but it only did slightly and it was only enough for Kai to notice.
Their eyes met again, for the first time without hatred, just understanding the consequences.
Neither of them spoke for a long time because suddenly, this was not about dislike anymore, it was about survival.
Finally, Kai exhaled slowly.
“This is blackmail.”
The producer corrected him gently.
“It is an opportunity.”
Lena stared at the contract, then at him, then back at the paper.
“You are insane,” she muttered.
Kai finally looked at her properly for the first time.
“No,” he said quietly.
“We are just trapped.”
Outside the glass walls of the studio, cameras were already being
set up recording everything and preparing the story.
The internet did not know about it yet but they were about to fall in love.
Or at least, pretend to.

Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.
**
As a ballet dancer, My life looks perfect—scholarship, starring role, sweet boyfriend Tyler. Until Tyler shows his true colors and his older brother, Asher, comes home.
Asher is a Navy veteran with battle scars and zero patience. He calls me "princess" like it's an insult. I can't stand him.
When My ankle injury forces her to recover at the family lake house, I‘m stuck with both brothers. What starts as mutual hatred slowly turns into something forbidden.
I'm falling for my boyfriend's brother.
**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
Mated to Her Alpha Instructor
Weeks later, our new Alpha combat instructor walks in. Regis. The guy from the woods. His eyes lock on mine, and I know he recognizes me. Then the secret I've been hiding hits me like a punch: I'm pregnant.
He has an offer that binds us tighter than ever. Protection… or a cage? Whispers turn ugly, darkness closes in. Why am I the one without a wolf? Is he my salvation… or will he drag me to ruin?
HER ALPHA, HER SAVIOUR
Kane Hellboud, charm and wealth personified, wanted only me in exchange for her treatment. No cameras, isolation, or noose-like rules were part of the deal. Behind his smile? Cold, violent possessiveness that destroyed our fake marriage.
Most of all, I didn’t know the supernatural walked among us, hiding in the cracks of ordinary life. Not until Abel Stone stepped into mine—dark-eyed, sharp-tongued, and oozing dangerous promises. He’s my new boss. He shouldn’t make my skin tingle or my pulse race. I shouldn’t feel this primal pull, this illogical recognition that tugs at something deep in my bones.
Around him, lights burst, electronics fry, and something ancient in me awakens.
Kane feels it. His grip tightens, punishments turn brutal, and he hides the truth of what I am.
Trapped between two powerful men, I’m no prey, no pawn—no helpless victim.
Prisons burn. Monsters bleed. As for me? I'm the storm in skin—deadly beyond suspicion.
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Aphrodite and the Cursed Mate Bond
She finds truth.
Aphrodite is not human at all. She is a rare white wolf, descended from an ancient Direwolf bloodline long believed extinct. The ritual meant to sever her ties awakens her wolf instead and with it comes the scent of five mates bound to her by fate.
The Alpha twins who once scorned her now cannot stay away. A human hunter walks beside her and proves that strength is not born of fangs or dominance. A cursed Wolf King holds the key to her past and her father’s imprisonment. And watching from the shadows is one who was never meant to interfere at all.
As gods fall, packs fracture, and war reshapes the world, Aphrodite must decide what destiny truly means. Is it submission to fate or the courage to choose her own path.
Love does not come in one form. Neither does power.
In a world ruled by gods and wolves, Aphrodite will become something neither ever expected.
Not a queen.
But the axis upon which the world turns.
From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

The CEO's Unspoken Love
Before I could answer, he moved closer, suddenly looming over me, his face inches from mine. I felt my breath caught, my lips parting in surprise.
"Then this is the price for speaking ill of me to others," he murmured, nipping my lower lip before claiming my mouth in a real kiss. It began as punishment but quickly transformed into something else entirely as I responded, my initial rigidity melting into compliance, then active participation.
My breathing accelerated, small sounds escaping my throat as he explored my body. His touches were both punishment and pleasure, drawing shudders from me that I thought he felt reverberating through his own body.
My nightgown had ridden up, his hands discovering more of mine with each caress. We were both lost in sensation, rational thought receding with each passing second...
