Introduction
He heaved a deep sigh before he continued, now facing everyone present at the ceremony. “It's official, I, Beta Damien of the Dark Moon Pack, hereby reject my mate in the presence of everyone, and I kindly ask that my king put an end to this ceremony,” he said in a loud voice before pulling Ruby into a kiss right in front of me.
His words hit me like a jagged lightning bolt, I’ve just been rejected by my mate, and in front of the whole pack, tears streamed down my face as I stared at Ruby and Damien as they made their way through the crowd.
Chapter 1
Luciana
“All hail Luna Ximena!!”
“All Hail!!” The sounds of the thunderous voices of my betas echoed in my ears as they all let out a collective howl, bowing and acknowledging my reign as the Luna of the Reflection Pack.
“Wake up, Luciana!!” A sharp voice jolted me out of my head, shaking me profusely. I got out of bed, rubbing my eyes as the bright rays of the morning sun shone into my eyes, making them try to adjust in order to accommodate the sunlight. I slowly opened my eyes to see a familiar figure next to me
“What is it, Ruby!!” I whined in frustration.
“Who’s this Luna Ximena, you always dream about?” Ruby fired.
Did I say that out loud? I wondered, staring at Ruby with no expression on my face. “No one…” I replied.
“Whatever, suit yourself,” she said with an eye roll “just know Mrs. Suzy sent for us and she said we should be out in ten minutes,” she added.
“Okay… I'm on my way.” I said, reluctantly getting out of bed.
Ruby is my best and only friend in the Dark Moon Pack, and each time I dream about what my return to my pack would be like, she always gets confused as to whom this Luna Ximena always muttered in my dream.
My name is Ximena, a Hybrid Luna of the Reflection Pack. Eleven years ago, my kingdom was attacked by a rogue pack led by my evil uncle, which led to the death of my parents. My dad was a powerful Alpha and my mom a powerful witch of her clan; I miss them both so much every single day.
Every member of my pack thinks their Luna is dead, but that wasn't true. Before my mom died, she cast a spell on me which helped to mask my scent from my enemies.
I've been in the Dark Moon Pack since I was seven as I fled from mine after my parents death, working undercover as a maid. Everyone knows me as Luciana here because I've done a great job in masking my true identity.
“Luciana!!” She yelled.
“I'm coming… I'm coming.” I yelled back as I rushed into the bathroom to take my bath.
We got to the kitchen where the rest of the maids were, everyone lined up in a file as they all awaited Ruby and my arrival.
“See, now you've made us late,” Ruby spat at me using her mind link abilities.
“I'm sorry,” I replied with pleading eyes.
“After today, I'm gonna kill you.” She said with daring glares, as her eyes lit up with those blue oceanic eyes of a beta, reminding me of my mother's spell which took away my alpha eyes and gave me that of an omega.
“And why are the both of you just coming?” Mrs. Suzy, the head maid, fired at us.
“Uhm… ERM…” I stuttered.
“Lucy had a running stomach,” Ruby defended me, making me give her puppy eyes and saying ‘thank you.’
“You're going to pay for this…” She replied, with a daring glare.
“Yeah… That…” I said to Mrs. Suzy.
“Of course, there'll always be an excuse.” She said with an eye roll. “Join the others.” She added.
Ruby and I swiftly adjusted our gowns and joined the others before she changed her mind.
“Now listen up, everyone, today's King Carmine’s birthday,” she announced. This made me raise my head in awe; I couldn't believe the Lycan King had the same birthday as me. I turned eighteen today after waiting for like forever. The moon goddess finally is ready to grant my greatest wish today by midnight; I smiled inwardly.
“But as we all know, the king doesn't like celebrating his birthday,” Mrs. Suzy continued, “but he's decided to throw a party for one of his loyal Betas - Damien, as he would be finding his mate today, together with other members of the pack.” She announced, making everyone's gaze move to Ruby, with a smile plastered on all their faces.
“It's finally time,” I squealed at Ruby with excitement on my face. Everyone knew Ruby and Damien would be mates as they've been inseparable for as long as I could remember, but we were just patiently waiting for this day to come when it would finally be official.
Ruby was so excited, even though she tried to mask it up; we were both going to finally have mates today by midnight. I was also happy for myself as this would be a great milestone for me, not just because I'll finally have a mate and be free from the constant torture I get from the pack as an omega, which I had to endure for the past eleven years, but also because I'll finally be able to break my mother's spell and take my revenge on my uncle, take my pack back, and throw that glamorous ceremony I've always dreamed of for my return.
“It's no big deal, Lucy, it's just a mate bond ceremony; there's nothing special about it…” Ruby said sarcastically, but I knew better than to believe what she'd just said.
“You can try to mask your excitement all you want, Ruby, but I can't; I'll finally be free from the torture of everyone in this pack.” I replied.
“Well, good for you.” She remarked with a smile.
“You!!” Mrs. Suzy cut into our conversation.
“You're in charge of serving the drinks tonight,” she pointed in my direction.
“And you!” She said, now turning to Ruby.
“You'll be serving the king,” she said. Making my eyes widen in awe; it's always been my dream to get a sneak peek of the Lycan King Carmine, and now Ruby was getting the chance to do that. Oh my goodness, for a minute I felt a pang of jealousy wash over me, but I quickly shook it off.
She was probably given the opportunity because she's a Beta, and I was given the least job because I was an omega. But she's still my best friend, so I have to be happy for her.
“You all are dismissed; the party begins by ten, and you all are expected to be here before then.” Mrs. Suzy said before leaving us. Everyone dismissed themselves into different groups, discussing how the ceremony was going to be.
“Oh Ruby, you're so lucky. You're going to be with your mate and finally be the first to serve the king amongst us” Maya, a member of the three bullies we had here in the maid quarters, squealed at Ruby. I call them the M-cube: Maya, Mia, and Mira; they were all Betas like Ruby.
“You should join us, Ruby, and stop moving around with this loser,” Mira, who is the leader of their crew, said. “After all, she causes you nothing but trouble.” She added.
Talia, my wolf, growled, but I quickly urged her to keep calm so we wouldn't cause any chaos here. Talia was the only thing my mom’s spell didn't hide from me; she'd been my companion ever since I turned fifteen and the only one I share my struggles with.
“No thank you, Mira, but Lucy here is my friend, and I love her.” Ruby replied, making me smile in victory.
“You're making a wrong choice, Ruby; an ugly omega like her won't get you anywhere.” Mia said, pointing out one of my numerous insecurities: my skin. I really need to find my mate so this stupid spell would be broken. I've had enough of these humiliations already. I needed to show these people that I am not ugly like they say.
“When this curse is finally broken and they see how beautiful your skin is, I'm sure they'll come pleading for forgiveness,” Talia said.
“Think about it, beautiful; you still have from now until midnight.” Mira said with a wink before heading out with her crew, Ruby had always been the one who got all the attention because of her slender but attractive body and perfect skin.
I was the fleshy one and my best friend was the skinny one with good curves. I must say sometimes I get jealous and desperately wish I turned eighteen quickly. And the long awaited day is finally here.
“I'm so sorry about that, Luciana,” Ruby apologized.
“It's okay, it's not your fault.” I said, trying to shake off the rush of emotions I was feeling.
“Don’t worry; I'll make sure to tell you all about my experience today while serving the king immediately after the ceremony.” she said, trying to cheer me up, and it actually worked.
“Really?!” I asked, my face lighting up with a smile.
“Sure, Lucy; anything for you.” she retorted with a smile, making me wrap my arms around her, pulling her into a tight hug.
“You mustn't leave out any details,” I said sternly.
“Yes, boss,” she replied with sarcasm in her voice as we both headed back to the maid quarters. Letting out a laugh in unison.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
