Introduction
She paused her adventurous life for three golden years, caring for her gentle disabled husband she secretly admires. When kyrian regained his strength and ability, his past returned, haunting him in the name of his first Love, Tracey.
Blind to the sacrifices Lily made and driven by a quiet, terrible misunderstanding, Kyrian asks for a divorce in the cruelest way possible. Devastated yet resilient, Lily must rebuild her life while battling the shadows of her own trauma.
Later on, as regret consumes Kyrian and the truth of Lily’s pain and trauma slowly unravels, they both face the hardest question of all:
If love was never spoken, can it survive the silence?
Chapter 1
His touch felt different. It sent sparks of electricity coursing through her veins. He had never touched her that way in their three years of marriage.
Lily and her husband, Kyrian lay entwined in each other’s arms. The soft hum of the air conditioner provided a gentle background melody for the intimate act going on in the room.
Lily felt touched as she surrendered herself to a tenderness she had never known before.
Was Kyrian eventually accepting her? Her hard work of three years has finally paid off. She could now heave a sigh of relief. Alas, she was about to find out sooner than later that she had rejoiced too soon.
As they lay there on the bed, in each other’s arms, feeling the warmth from the other person’s body, Kyrian broke the silence with just four words.
“Let’s get a divorce.”
Lily’s hands which had been tracing invisible lines from his chest region to his thigh suddenly stopped mid air. She withdrew her hands from him and kept quiet.
It was as if she was allowing the weight of his words to sink in. The silence that followed was deafening. The air between them turned thick and suffocating, a sharp contrast from the warm air in the room just a few seconds ago.
One… two… three… ten seconds went by. In those silent seconds, Lily didn’t move, she didn’t breathe as if the stillness could somehow undo what he had just said.
Why? The question clawed at her throat, but she forced it out, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Why?”
His expression didn’t change. He stared right ahead, at nothing in particular. His lips parted slightly as he gave his response.
“Tracey is back.”
Lily swallowed nothing. She knew who Tracey was. She was his ex, the one he loved so much before an accident had him temporarily disabled.
She had been the one that nursed him to health, but here he was, sweeping her under the carpet the moment Tracy showed up.
How silly could she be to think that he was going to accept her. The sex had felt different because he wanted her body one last time before getting rid of her.
She didn’t say a word, she didn’t beg him.
Instead, she slipped out of the bed, using the sheets to cover herself. She bent down at the foot of the bed and picked her clothing, where they had been flung in the heat of the moment.
With mechanical movements and a numb body, she went off to the bathroom. The door clicked behind her, and only then did the tears come. Violent silent sobs that wracked her entire frame.
She pressed a hand over her mouth to stifle the sound, her knees buckling as she slid to the floor.
Three years, that was what she had given Kyrian.
Three years ago, she had married him when he was at his lowest, broken. He had been disabled after a car accident and was drowning in bitterness. She had taken care of him to repay his grandmother’s kindness to her. She owed the old lady everything so she stayed and helped nurse her grandson to health.
She had fallen in love with Kyrian somewhere between changing his bandages and enduring his temper. Between sleepless nights and quiet mornings when he finally allowed himself to lean on her.
And now, less than a year after he recovered, he was throwing her away. She felt used, really used.
She wiped her face with trembling hands and forced herself to a standing position. She stepped out of the bathroom and entered the room.
Kyrian was seated on the bed, his back against her. He was wearing clothes now, looking at his phone. From where she stood by the bathroom door, she could point out what seemed like a smile at the corner of his lips as he typed into his phone.
She was sure he was chatting with Tracey. The bitch must be so excited that Kyrian was coming back to her after she left him.
Without uttering a word to him again, she walked out of his room. On getting to her own room, she sank into the sofa, hugged her knees and let the tears flow freely from her face.
She had taken care of him some years ago with all her heart, and eventually fell in love with him. Since that day, she had been waiting and counting the days until he saw her the way she wanted to be seen.
She had waited patiently for this day, a day when he would hold her in his arms and do so many things that would make her body feel giddy. She had melted under his touch, allowing her body to feel the heat of his against hers, thinking that this was the day she had been waiting for.
But he had her hopes crashing when he asked for a divorce. What’s worse, he had to do it just after an intense intimate moment. What could be crueler than that?
For goodness sake, every woman wanted to be held close after an intimate session and sweet words whispered to her ears nonstop. No one wanted a break up message, one that made her feel unappreciated and at worse, unwanted.
She turned on the light because it was night. She walked to her wardrobe and threw it open. She picked out each cloth, throwing them one after the other on the bed. Afterwards, she pulled out her suitcase.
She was going to pack her things and be out of the house at the crack of dawn. Kyrian had made it known to her that he didn’t want her, so there was no need to stay another day.
She sat on the bed, folding the clothes neatly into her suitcase. She didn’t know if she slept off or something, but she was awakened by the sound of footsteps walking through the hallway. She sat up and listened.
When she heard his car drive off, she knew her guess was right. It was Kyrian who was leaving the house. The clock in her room read 11:50pm. Was whatever it was unable to wait until morning?
Possibly, he was hurrying off to meet Tracy. What a pity.
She moved her clothes aside, made space for herself and lay down on the bed. She couldn’t continue walking around. She felt pain down there, an evidence to showcase the intensity of the raw act of intimacy between her and her soon to be ex husband.
Light poured in through the window, the bright morning sun ushering in a new day. Lily yawned and stretched herself on the bed. Her hands hit the pile of clothes on her bed, jolting her awake.
Swiftly, she got down from the bed and began to put her things together. She was done in no time and the room that was once filled with her things looked empty.
She remembered when she was first ushered into that room three years ago.
Kyrian’s grandmother had already gotten the room painted in sea blue, her favourite colour. The bed was big and comfortable, compared to the one she had back at home. She had fallen in love with the room but it would cease to be hers the moment she stepped out.
She took in the sight of the room one last time, as if trying to imprint the details in her memory. Afterwards, she drew in a sharp breath, while trying her best to suppress the tears that were threatening to fall.
She pulled her bags out of the room and the door shut with a light click. She didn’t wait to have breakfast. She didn’t belong here so there wasn’t any need for that. She was leaving Kyrian’s life, house as well as the Brandon family for good.

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
