Desperate to save her face and avoid further embarrassment, she runs into the unbound lands and is attacked by a stray rogue, only to be saved by a mysterious wolf with silver fur who marks her after discovering their mate's bond.
But that should have been the end of it, until Kade comes running back to her, she discovers she has a third mate, and secrets surrounding her birth arise, making her the enemy's target.
Stuck with three men who are desperate to lay claim to her, she has to choose between one– but he might just be her downfall as he’s working for the enemy.
Sneak peek:
“I’m going to have a maid prepare a bath for you. You will get dressed. And tonight, we will have our mating ceremony. I am not giving you room to reject me,” he said firmly.
“But I—”
“Shh,” he said, placing his fingers on my lips. “I have found a bond with you, and I found you..." He trailed off, as if not knowing the words to use. "You are the most beautiful woman in this world I have seen. I want you to be my Luna, and I don't want anyone else near you,” he said.
“I know you are scared and do not have any experience, but that is not a problem. I will guide you. I will be your head. I will love you. And we shall live together happily."
"I'm not—"
"It is not up for debate.”
Chapter 1
Lyra’s POV
"I, Alpha Kade, reject you..." He trailed off, not knowing my name.
What did I expect?
"Lyra," I said timidly.
"I, Alpha Kade, reject you, Lyra, as my mate. I shall not allow you, who is not of noble blood, to become my Luna."
A Few Hours Ago_
"Oh, for the love of the moon goddess," I swore, annoyance coursing into my veins. Someone had just bumped into me— intentionally, causing me to drop the tray of glassware I was carrying to arrange at the banquet hall.
This was the third time.
They crashed to the floor, glass splintering in all directions, its shards flying about.
I couldn't save myself from the assault as I slipped and fell, head hitting the marble floor painfully, some glass shards digging into my skin and palms, which I used to break my fall.
"If you wouldn't be so caught up in a daydream, perhaps you would have seen me," came a venomous voice. I thought I recognized the voice, but when I looked up, it was just another servant girl.
Their voices and faces were the same to me now, blurred into an almost non-existent state. It was a daily routine for me to encounter one or more of them who were anything but nice to me.
"Can't you do your job well for once?" she scoffed at me, looking down in disgust. One hand was on her waist. She tsked and then walked off.
Rolling my eyes, I adjusted my position so I could stand up without getting injured some more. I was already mentally preparing myself for the scolding that lay ahead. There were only a few hours left until the banquet, and everything had to be perfect, but somehow, I had broken a set of glassware thrice today because some servant girls kept bumping into me.
Did I expect to spend my eighteenth birthday doing servant duties?
Yes, this was the only thing I had to my name. No one ever had breaks except for a valid reason, and I did not have one.
No family to visit, nothing.
My days were always the same mundane routine with little to no excitement happening.
Did I expect to be assaulted thrice today?
Not necessarily, but then I was Lyra— the girl who was always at the receiving end of chaos.
I could swear on my ancestors that they had offended the moon goddess, and now, I was here, carrying the sins of my parents, grandparents and possibly my whole generation.
The floor was stained with the blood dripping from my palms. I looked around dejectedly and tried to shift away some of the glass to create space to stand up, but it only ended up pricking me some more.
"Are you okay there?" A deep, sultry voice asked me.
I gasped, looking up to behold the handsome face of the Alpha. I had seen him severally times from a distance to know he was good-looking, but with him up close...
The gods had carefully sculpted him into perfection. I swallowed hard, my cheeks turning red as he raised a questioning brow at me.
"You're bleeding, but you're ogling me?"
"No-uh-um, I..."
He let out a breath of laughter and easily pulled me up from the mess of glass on the floor. My blood stained his tunic slightly, but he didn't seem to mind.
"Thank you, Alpha," I said timidly.
"Hm," he scoffed and turned. I watched him walk away with long strides, only for him to pause in the middle of the hallway.
He turned slowly. "Your eyes..."
"What about Alpha?"
"Are you blind?"
I snorted in laughter. "I wouldn't be one of the servants handling glassware if I were—" I gasped, placing my hand on my mouth. It was going to be the end of me someday.
"You're a snarky little thing, aren't you?" He commented drily. "There's almost no colour in them... They are silver... Forgive me for thinking they do not work." He said sarcastically.
"Well, they do work," I told him with a smile. "And perfectly so. I wouldn't have been able to tell you were the Alpha, would I?"
"My presence is enough for that."
He left immediately, and I set to work, gathering up the glass shards in one spot. I got a broom and dustpan to gather it up and then trashed it.
"What exactly is your problem?" Daphne, the head matron, said, pulling my cheeks hard.
"This is the third time!" She yelled. "Don't frustrate me, child. The rotation has already been set, and you are to serve the Alpha's table tonight. Is that how you shall break things at the banquet?"
"I swear by the moon goddess, I was pushed."
"Three times?" She raised her brows disbelievingly.
"Yes, three times."
"Well, better hope no one pushes you when the banquet starts," she said. "Now off you go." She thrust another tray of glassware into my hand. "And don't break it this time!"
++++++*
The banquet was loud with musicians playing their respective instruments, a symphony of sounds which were pleasant, filling my ears. So far, things were going well, and I had only been pushed once, but I kept my stance firm and did not spill what I was holding, much to the dismay of the girl who targeted me.
Ha! Served her right.
I walked towards the Alpha's table for the third time today— each time, my heart was beating desperately fast, while I prayed to the moon goddess, I would not mess up. Those who had found their mates were in the middle of the hall, dancing with them.
Slowly and carefully, I began to pass around the wine glasses on my tray, starting from the Alpha first. I set it down carefully so that not even a drop would spill or splash. My sleeves lifted slightly because of the angle at which I did that, and the Alpha's eyes rested on the silver crescent moon-shaped birthmark on my wrist.
He looked at my face and then back at my wrist, touching it slightly. I swallowed hard, feeling heat creep up my body.
"That..."
"Birthmark," I chuckled nervously, moving to serve the next person a drink.
Then a warm feeling flooded my chest, followed by a prodding sensation. I locked eyes with Alpha Kade across the table, and my wolf screamed at me:
Mate.

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
Although Austin 'Booker' Carver is enamored by the innocent Dani, he tries to keep the police chief's daughter at arm's length. But when a threat is made from an unexpected source, he finds himself falling hard and fast for the only woman who can tame his wild heart.
Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
