Scarlett Heart · Ongoing · 39.5k Words
Introduction
And even worse, I was wolfless.
Things started to get better when I found out that the Alpha of my pack was my mate, little did I know that I was going to face the worst possible rejection of my life.
Then the Cold War came and suddenly, I was starting afresh in this new academy where three Alphas claimed me as theirs. But this time, I refuse to be hurt, I'll become stronger and I'll be back for my revenge.
Will I push through or will they consume every last bit of my soul?
Chapter 1
INDIGO.
The loud voices hushed the moment I stepped into the room and the whispers started. This was a pack meeting but I wasn't allowed to hear the pack matters.
They all hated me as much as they feared me. They didn't want to give me any advantage over their pack and that was fine. I didn't really mind. I grew up with the glares and hostile treatment, and at this point, it had become a part of my daily routine.
"What are you doing here, Indigo?" My father's loud voice cut off the whispers almost immediately, my eyes caught vivid blue ones and the smirk on her lips. My sister disliked me just as much, even more, maybe.
"I-i-" I took a deep breath, "I thought the meeting would be over."
"But it clearly isn't! Get out of here immediately." I swallowed and turned back,
I was foolish for ever coming here.
"Let the girl stay. She might want to hear this news." I halted as the raspy voice reached my ear,
Kymir.
The alpha of this pack and my mate. We hadn't officially announced it because he didn't want to, but I was hoping that one of these days, he would tell everyone and proceed with the mating ceremony.
"Alpha, she doesn't really have to-"
"Let her stay." His decision was made,
I felt a little giddy at the thought of him supporting me when I heard the words that would change my life forever.
"Honey, I hope this won't become a regular thing? I really don't want the abomination at our mating ceremony." My sister, Piper, said,
Mating ceremony?
Apparently, I had voiced out my thoughts because she replied to me,
"Yes, Indie, a mating ceremony between Kymir and I is going to take place in a week." She smiled sweetly,
My heart stopped in my chest.
"T-that can't happen..no..." I trailed off, blinking the tears in my eyes,
I was Kymir's mate. Not Piper. This had to be a big misunderstanding,
"Kymir-" I called out,
"Alpha to you." His tone was steely as he marched up to me, I let out a shudder and stepped a bit backward, "I want you to withdraw, Indigo, or I'll make you."
"Withdraw? But you're my mate!" I yelled incredulously, ignoring the sharp gasps of our audience,
He let out a sarcastic laughter, "Stupid of you to think that I would ever take the abomination as my mate. You're worthless, Indigo. My father might use you for his own doings, but I have absolutely no use for a wolfless mate."
The tears dropped. I couldn't believe what was happening.
"I, Alpha Kymir of Northside pack, reject you as my mate and the future Luna of this pack. I have no use for you, Indigo. The moment you accept that, the better for you." He walked out of the room with Piper following majestically behind him,
The snickers filled the room like on cue, "You are a disgrace to our family. You can't even keep your mate! I am so ashamed of you." My father spat in my face before leaving too,
My father was a good beta. He was fair and just to everyone... except me. My heart thudded in my chest loudly and my ears started ringing. I was panicking.
I couldn't breathe.
"Come on, Indie." Someone grabbed my arm and pushed me out of there. It was Cohen, the former alpha and Kymir's father.
"He rejected me." I choked out,
"You can't be Luna, Indie. You don't have a wolf." He calmly replied,
Before I could reply, a loud crash filled my ears, and screaming followed.
What was going on?
"It's an attack!" A man yelled, shifting into his wolf form mid-sentence.
"Goddess!" Cohen yelled beside me, "Indigo, we have to use your powers."
The same powers that made me an abomination. Powers were common amongst the royal bloodline of the were kind, but the Southside pack were known as necromancers, all their royals had the power - my father, Kymir, Cohen, and Piper all included - except me. I was the outcast. The one without a wolf and the only one who wielded the power of the four elements.
"I haven't had much practice...I-i might hurt someone." My emotions were unstable, I couldn't even think properly,
His words turned stern, "You're practically useless in this pack. The least you could do is utilize your powers. Kymir rejected you because you haven't proven yourself to him. Make him regret his decision."
I blinked rapidly, a lump stuck in my throat, "Okay." I whispered, even though deep down, I knew Kymir would never see me as anything apart from an abomination.
I walked ahead briskly, trying not to falter. I saw the burst of energy before it landed. My head went hazy and I lost my sense of control. My powers seeped through my fingers uncontrollably, I heard a distinct yell for me to stop, but I couldn't turn it off. Black dots filled my vision before I slumped.
I woke up in a strange place. The room was dark and I couldn't see anything, I was about to stand when I heard a voice,
"She's awake." It sent shivers down my spine immediately, a lazy growl that you couldn't mistake for weakness resounded,
A sharp feminine voice retorted, "And how do you know that? Can you see her?"
The growl again. "I can smell her."
Smell me?
I wasn't prepared for the burst of light that filled the room, my eyes immediately connected
with hard brown eyes and I shuddered at the intensity of his gaze.
"Get her out of here.”

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
