My parents are pressuring me to donate a kidney to my younger brother because I have late-stage bone cancer.

Introduction
My biological parents even threatened to sever ties with me: "You have a healthy body. Ian has nothing but us. You can't even bear to part with a kidney. You're so selfish and cold-blooded!"
They don't know that my hands, which I used to play the piano, had already been crushed by gangsters while cleaning up their mess; they also don't know that at this moment, I have a critical illness notice for late-stage bone cancer in my pocket.
Seeing the undisguised disgust and indifference in my fiancée's eyes, I swallowed the taste of blood in my throat and calmly signed the consent form for the live organ removal.
"Okay, I'll donate. I'll give you back my life along with it."
Later, I died like a dog on the rusty operating table of a shady clinic, my bones and marrow completely drained.
But when I was truly reduced to dust and left without even a complete corpse... the truth about my vicious foster brother faking illness was exposed.
The aloof and arrogant female CEO who once treated me like trash went completely mad overnight.
She knelt desperately before my nameless grave, plunged a sharp knife into her abdomen, and collapsed in a pool of blood, pleading for me to see her one more time.
Chapter 1
As my fiancée Diana threatened me with our engagement for the hundredth time, I was staring at the diagnosis report of late-stage bone cancer in my hand.
“Evan, Ian’s kidney failure is getting worse. The doctors say he needs a transplant immediately, or he won’t make it through the month.” Diana stood before my desk, arms crossed, her impeccably tailored suit highlighting her cool profile. “The matching results show you’re a perfect donor. If you agree to sign, we’ll schedule the surgery immediately. If you refuse—”
She paused for a moment, and those blue-gray eyes that once said they loved me the most now only held a sense of indifference.
"—Then our engagement ends here. After all, Ian doesn't have much time left, and I want to give him a legal status so that he can leave without regrets."
I listened quietly. I'm so tired of hearing this kind of blackmail.
Ever since my adopted brother Ian was diagnosed with kidney failure, my parents and Diana have seemed to form some kind of sacred alliance, taking turns to pressure me into giving in.
My parents threatened me with my chance to become the principal pianist at Juilliard School—a dream I had earned through ten hours of practice every day, my fingertips worn raw countless times. Diana was even crueler; whenever I hesitated even slightly when I wanted something, she would throw the words "break off the engagement" in my face.
Ian wanted to draw my blood, and I hesitated; Ian took a fancy to the engagement watch that Diana had given me, and I refused to give it to him; Ian got drunk at the dinner party and insisted that Diana help him into the car, and I turned my head away... Every time, it was my fault.
"He's dying, Evan! He could live if you donated a kidney, how could you be so heartless?"
What they didn't know was that my deteriorating health wasn't due to cold-bloodedness, but because I was dying. For years, in an effort to " save " Ian, I was forced to have my blood drawn frequently, and severe malnutrition and overexertion ultimately led to an irreversible terminal illness.
When I refused, my parents looked at me as if I were a monster.
"You're the older brother!" my mother screamed, smashing my sheet music. "You're a healthy baby, while Ian has been struggling in bed since he was a baby! If you don't save him, you'll never be able to touch a piano again!"
The father added coldly from the side, "Ian was born with nothing. You not only have talent, but now you also have Diana's love. You won't even share a tiny bit with him? We'll just pretend we never had a selfish son like you!"
Those words used to lash me like a whip full of barbs, causing me unbearable pain. But now, it doesn't matter anymore.
Whether I die on that cold bed at home or on the operating table, it makes no difference to me. Anyway, no one in this world cares about me anymore.
Diana frowned, clearly impatient with my prolonged silence, and was preparing to launch a new round of pressure.
“Okay,” I interrupted her, “I’ll donate.”
She froze. Then, astonishment quickly turned into ecstatic joy. "You mean it? That's wonderful! I knew you weren't hopeless! Ian is finally saved!"
She was so excited she practically jumped for joy as she pulled out her phone and sent a voice message to my parents in a group chat where I wasn't present : "He agreed! Contact the hospital immediately and have Ian prepare!"
I looked at her flushed face, a mocking smile playing on my lips. I lowered my head and unfastened the Patek Philippe engagement watch on my left wrist—the one she had personally placed on my wrist three years ago.
“Evan,” she said, kneeling on one knee with tears glistening in her eyes, “I will give you a true haven, and no one can take anything away from you anymore.”
I once firmly believed in this statement.
I gently placed the watch on the table and pushed it toward her.
Diana hung up the phone, her gaze falling on the watch, her expression instantly changing. "What are you doing?"
"It's nothing," I said calmly.
She grabbed my hand suddenly, trying to fasten the watch back onto my wrist, her voice tinged with panic: "I was just angry... I was just so worried about Ian. I won't break off the engagement, Evan, I promise."
I easily withdrew my hand and didn't look at her again.
In the end, the watch remained in her possession.
My phone rang; it was my father calling.
Discuss the surgery time with me.
They can't wait.

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
