"Please let me go home, haven't you had your fun?" I cried. He laughed as he continued to glide his hand higher up my thigh. "Ah!" I scream as I Jolt upright in bed. Waking up in cold sweats has pretty much been my routine for the past 4 years now. I have a big secret about my past, and current situations, that I have not told anyone. Sometimes I try to pretend my life is different, but the nightmares, daily reminders and scars prove otherwise.
My name is Emily. I am 18 and a werewolf. I was adopted when I was 4 into a human home, but thankfully my parents knew about me at my adoption and were still happy to take me in. I do not know much about my adoption except that my biological parents were rouges who could not afford to care for me. I am an average girl. About 5ft 3 inches, 115 pounds, dark brown hair that glides halfway down my back in loose waves, and green eyes. I just graduated a couple months ago and have been doing research into different wolf packs around me so I can decide which one to integrate into. I love my parents and appreciate everything they have done for me, but I need to get away and I need to be with my own kind. My hope is to find my mate and in that find true love and protection.
As the clock gets closer to 5pm I know he will be calling for me to meet him outside. Its mid-August and starting to get colder outside so I grab a jacket and head downstairs.
"Going somewhere sweetheart?" My mom asks looking up from the book she is reading.
"Going out with Zach. I’ll be home by 9:30pm" I say giving her a reassuring smile. If only she knew the truth.
"Okay. Tell him to keep you safe" She says and smiles.

Sitting out on the front porch I am taking in my last few moments of fresh air and solitude. I am trying to wrap my head around how I got into this mess or why I deserve this. I hear the gravel crunching under tires as my so-called boyfriend pulls up. Zach is my boyfriend... Or at least that is what he calls himself. I have other choice words I can call him, but I do not to his face. I do not know how I can get away from him until I find my own pack to join. Zach is a 20-year-old human with an obsessive abusive side. He is about 6ft, 200 pounds of muscle, blonde hair and brown eyes.
Rolling down his window he looks me up and down. "You're wearing that while in my presence?"
"Would you like me to go change?" I say gritting my teeth.
"No time. Get in, I want every minute I can with you." He says with a smile.
Getting in his truck I am thankful there is a barrier between us. It just means I can have my body to myself for a little bit longer.
"We are going to swing by the store to pick up some condoms" He says as he pulls into the store parking lot.
I do not say anything back as he finds a parking spot and comes to open my door and grab my hand. While walking through the door he is sure to keep his hand securely around the back of my neck. He leads me to the section where the condoms are and grabs a box. As we are heading to the checkout line, I accidentally bump into someone.
"I'm sorry" I say as I look up into the eyes of the guy I bumped into.
When our eyes lock, I feel sparks run through me and goosebumps form all over my body.
