Chapter 1
Fiona
When I opened my husband’s office door, I find Jack and my stepsister, Jessica, locked together in a passionate kiss. The scene hit me like a truck. What the hell is going on?
I always thought Jessica was a good girl. She’d stood by me during the hardest time of my life when my mother died, and now this? My chest grows tight watching them kiss.
When she asked me to help her find a job, I didn’t hesitate to ask Jack, who just got promoted to Partner at his law firm, for help. And this is how she repays me?
By betraying me?! How long has this been going on?
I look at Jessica who has her hands all over my husband. The office door clicks shut behind me, and Jack lifts his head, a slight panic flittering in his gaze. Jessica smirks, wraps her arms around my husband’s arm, and leans into him.
“What’s going on?”
“As Jack’s secretary, I’m simply taking care of him and performing my duties,” Jessica says proudly like what she was doing wasn’t wrong.
"Is everything you've done just a lie to me?"
“You should’ve seen this coming, Fiona. Your selfishness and neglect led to this,” Jack says, and my heart cracks. Me? I’d been supporting him and taking care of everything at home so he could rise in power at work.
“Not to mention, you won’t spend even a bit of that inheritance on me. ” Jack says with a huff.
"I saved the inheritance for our family's future. I want to provide a good education and a better life for our future kids. I'm not being selfish."I hold back my tears so they don't fall.
“What about my future? I’ve told you I don’t want kids with you.”
Another crack in my soft heart. He always knew I wanted children, even when we were dating.
Jack’s eyes roam my figure before he continues, “Plus, the homely matron look isn’t working for me. There’s no sex appeal, Fiona. You’re just not attractive anymore.”
I glance down at my light pink dress, sliding my hands across the soft material. It’s a pretty dress.
When I look at Jack again, the disgust is written clearly across his expression, and the final crack spreads across my heart, breaking it into two pieces. How foolish I’ve been to trust a man to change.
“I want a divorce,” I state, forcing my voice not to quiver.
From the smile that curves his lips, I realize he doesn’t care.
Jessica laughs and then sneers at me.
“Jack is now a partner at Silverclaw Law firm,” she tells me, patting his chest. It’s like she’s staking a claim. “He’s outstanding. Do you really think he’d be afraid to divorce you?”
I glare at her, letting my anger at the situation slip through.
Jessica continues, “And to be honest, your mother’s inheritance will soon be in our pockets. Do you, a mere housewife, think you can stand a chance against us in the upper class?”
How would my mother’s five million inheritance be in their pockets?
“Stop,” Jack orders.
Jessica smiles like she’s won and leans into Jack’s side again as she says, “Jack has a meeting soon. Please leave.”
I clench my shaking hands together behind me as Jessica waves me away. Had everyone except me known about their tryst?
As I turn and leave, tears fill my eyes, blurring my vision while I struggle with the reality that my marriage and friendship are falling apart.
My life is a lie.
Starting my car, I wipe the tears on my cheeks. My hands continue to shake as I drive, and I bite into my lip to force the tears back.
Sniffling, I squint my eyes against the rain and realize I’ve parked and climbed out of my car. The light above the bar’s entrance flickers just as thunder rolls above me. My feet move on their own, bringing me closer and closer.
Music floats through the bar and people sit around quietly drinking and making conversation until I walk in looking like a cat that’s been dunked in water and then thrown into the room.
I ignore the stares from men as I walk up to the bar and order something strong. The bartender winks and turns around, grabbing a bottle of amber-colored liquid to pour into a glass with ice.
“How you doing, beautiful?” He asks, sliding the glass across the bar.
“Fine,” I mumble then lift the glass to my lips.
The spicy liquid burns a path down my throat, and I can’t hold back the coughs that force their way out of my chest. He slides a second glass toward me. I down the alcohol, again coughing as the liquid burns my chest.
“Why don’t you come to the back,” the man says. He’s beside me and his hands are on my wrists.
“Let go,” I order.
His grip tightens, and I whimper at the pain that sprouts in my wrists.
Suddenly, the man is off me and to the floor.
“The lady said let go,” a deep, husky voice rumbles. A shiver runs over me at the command and power in his voice when the man steps between me and the bartender.
Long legs lead up to a broad, muscular back with a black dress shirt stretched tight across it. My fingers twitch to reach out and touch the man, but I grip my hand into a fist to keep from embarrassing myself.
“… alright?” The hard command has dropped from the man’s tone, leaving a soft, buttery concern.
Blinking away the dizziness, I look up to find the most handsome man I’ve ever seen. Dark hair that was probably once slicked back frames soft green eyes. I continue to lift my gaze until his worried eyes find mine.
“Are you alright?” He asks again, his hand cupping my cheek and fixing my attention on him.
“You’re…” I stand and dizziness that slams into me, making me stumble.
Immediately the man pulls me to him, settling me against his warm chest. I curl into him as a thrill rushes through my body. I shouldn’t, but I want more of his touch. More warmth.
“I’m…” he murmurs, his voice soft and rumbly.
“Ethan Montgomery, the billionaire CEO of the Silverclaw Corporation,” I mutter, looking up at him. He’s the new owner of Jack’s law firm. He wasn’t at the party earlier, but his name was brought up several times.
I had heard many stories about the ruthless billionaire, and none of them were good. Everyone says he’s cold-hearted, and I’d heard Jack speak about him with fearful awe.
He’s a man no one dares to defy.
Why was he helping me?
“My savior,” I mumble, my original question turning to dust as I stare into his eyes. Green eyes I could fall into forever. “The prettiest eyes,” I slur, a giggle dropping from my lips.
“Thanks, sweetheart.”
Heat fills my cheeks, but I don’t pull away from him.
Ethan… Mr. Montgomery… he carefully leads me away from the downed bartender, his hands gently guiding me. I stumble over my own feet, but he keeps me from faceplanting into the concrete floor.
“I’d—” a hiccup interrupts me, but I don’t let it stop me. “Thank you, handsome. You have very nice arms.”
The man hums in response to my nonsensical words and ignores my wandering hands pawing at his biceps. I can’t seem to stop myself.
“Sit here,” he tells me, pulling a chair out.
“I’d rather be in your arms,” I slur, nuzzling closer and burying my nose in his chest.
“You’re warm,” I mumble, “And you smell nice.”
He freezes and then leans in, whispering, “Mate.”
As confusion falls over me, I wonder: what’s a mate?

He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
