Chapter 1

It was a weird, grim dream.

Everything was dark, but I could faintly see the things around me. It was silent, but my ears can still pick up the sound of wind. My mouth felt different, it doesn’t even feel like I know these teeth lineups.

My chest feels heavy, and the skin on the back of my neck feels annoyed by the extra length of hair that I’m not used to. A long red item seems to be decorating my face.

What is this? Where am I?

I looked around, and found myself in a dark surrounding. There’s grass next to my naked feet, and surprisingly I can see the grass very well.

It’s like my field of vision is only limited to just two meters. Everything else was dark, pitch black like a moonless night.

Where is this…? How did I get here?

I lifted my hand, and found that my hand had grown smaller. My eyesight became much better, because I don’t seem to be wearing glasses anymore. Then, I noticed the long red item that is right in front of my nose.

I tried pulling it, and realized that it was glued to my head.

My… hair?

I immediately realized that my hair had grown multiple times longer, all the way to my elbow. Another thing I noticed was the abundant amount of weight on my chest.

Huh… boobs?

Funny. I dreamt of turning into a girl.

I ignored this weird body, and tried looking around again. I made the courageous decision and took a step forward, only to realize that the entire world suddenly turned bright.

The darkness that was previously surrounding me suddenly became extremely bright, and I was greeted by the wonderful sight of nature.

I’m on top of the world.

It was a grassy hill, and I am standing right by the edge of a cliff. A tree is right behind me, covering my head from the burning sunlight. Surrounding me are grass hills, mountains, and even a large river far down below the hill. Tall, snowy mountains can be seen super far away on the horizon. There’s forests, trees all around the hill or even the hills aside from this one.

It was a hill right on a large open field. A beautiful and naturally breathtaking open space where animals can be seen all around the place.

But, the one thing that caught my attention was the shadow that was far on the horizon.

A castle, a large set of walls covering an entire city forming a circular formation. A bridge that leads to the gate entrance towards the inside of the castle walls. A large flag, decorated with a lion’s head at the center.

A… Kingdom?

As I was trying to guess what I am looking at, my perspective changed once again. It turned everything from the naturally bright noon into a dim but bright evening.

Everything is now dark again, but still visible due to the dim lighting around me. Surrounding me are flames, brightening up the night by its chaotic nature. The flames are burning what seemed to be crushed building materials that I assume is made out of wood, but the scene doesn’t stop there.

The floor had turned from the previous natural green grass field into what seemed to be a bloody battlefield.

Surrounding me are dead corpses, people who are covered in metallic armors and weapons stabbing through them. The flames gradually grew larger and some even caught on to these corpses and burned them. Beforelong, my nose picked up the smell of burning flesh.

The horrors that caught my eyes didn’t stop, as my feet suddenly felt warm. I looked down, only to find blood had already covered the entire fingers of my feet.

The floor became covered in a pool of blood, and the flames suddenly disappeared. The scene has once again changed into a dark hallway that is inside a building, and the walls are painted by blood all over the place.

My hands felt sticky, and I lifted it up to find that it was fully covered in blood.

I began to sweat, and my heartbeat gradually increased. But the things just didn't stop appearing or changing, and my body started shivering due to the change in the weather.

The scene became a cold snowy mountain, and my body seemed to be naked. My boobs are out in the open, and the sticky blood that is on my hands is freezing to dust.

After studying my horrendous appearance, I began to notice the massive object placed right in front of me. It’s ten times taller than me, and it is shadowing over my body from the barely bright sunlight.

I looked upwards, and the first thing I noticed was the massive angry pale face. It has a white fur, thicker than any sheep and whiter than any goose. It has bright red rageful eyes that are angrier than any person can emit, and simply by looking at it caused my body to shudder even worse from the cold.

One word came to my mind. ‘Yeti’.

But this is… far larger than what I used to hear in stories.

The massive monkey-like creature made a move, and it lifted its massive arm upwards. I can only stare at it hopelessly as it lowered its hand, smashing down my body to juice.

The scene changed immediately, and now I’m on top of a building’s roof.

It was night time, and the scenery was surprisingly breathtaking. The moon and stars were decorating the evening sky on top of me, with barely any clouds. The building where I am on is on top of a tall hill that is in the middle of what seemed to be a city. The city night lights contributed so much to the beauty of the scenery, and it is such a contrast to what the previous scene was like.

This view is beautiful… but, I am not alone.

I turned to my left, and found a girl right next to me. Her hair was golden, and her eyes were closed as she rested her head right on my shoulder.

Who is she? Is she someone close to me?

I lifted my hand to try and wake her up, and I noticed that I am now wearing casual clothes.

Casual… but ancient.

This is not the casual wear that people normally use. It seemed… old, and outdated. And the clothes she wore were similar, as if the two of us are actors wearing a prop for a medieval play.

But surprisingly, I didn’t mind the clothes at all. I moved my right hand to her forehead and touched it slowly. After a faint push to her forehead, the girl gradually opens her eyes, and I can’t help but notice the weird iris color.

It’s… silver.

Not to mention the diamond-like shape it has. It’s like having a white diamond as an iris. How can she be so… beautiful?

Upon waking up, she turned her eyes towards me. Her confused expression tells me that something is making her wonder, and her mouth began to open as she asked the question.

“How much longer do I have to wait for you?”

She asked, but I became very confused as to what to answer. My mouth began to open so I could give a reply, but the world had another idea for me.

The scene changes, and this time, things are going fast.

It’s like I am falling, and all sorts of things come to my brain in a flash. My eyes saw flashes of images, that I am not sure what they meant or how they are important to me.

I saw images of a kingdom, knights, men in leather adventuring gear. I saw more images of weird looking animals, some massive, some had people fighting them. I then began seeing quick scenes involving monsters, creatures with a muscular body of humans but the head of a pig or lion. Even more weird scenes came to view very quickly, and they all had one thing in common, that is the person who is involved.

One scene stood out the most to me, and it involves a massive dragon that’s over thirty meters tall with black scales and bright blue eyes. But the one that caught my attention wasn’t the dragon, but it was the person standing against it while holding a long metal scythe.

It was the same person as I saw in the other scenes, and I fully realized that all these scenes I’m seeing belonged to them.

A woman with long red hair.

Who was she…? Was she a fighter? A knight, who is from ancient times?

I don’t have to think long to tell that those scenes I just saw were her memories. Her journeys, her path, her adventures.

It could also be the cause of her pain and suffering… as well as the source of her happiness and peace.

Her life. What an interesting life to lead…

Beforelong, the flashing images began to grow darker and darker, and finally the world has decided to give me one final scenery.

“I will be waiting for you… always.”

A voice of a girl was then heard loudly inside my mind, as if it was whispered through telepathy. After that voice spoke to me, the new scene that was given to me began to roll slowly.

This time, it was dark.

I was sitting in a chair, and it looked like I was having my head on the table. My arms are folded above the table, right under where I placed my head. Slowly, I opened my eyes, and information started to change inside my brain.

I turned my eyes towards the bright light that is cruelly shining on my face. I cursed that light for being so bright, but information was still being flooded into my brain.

What is… that light?

Instinctively, my hand moved and reached towards the end of the table. My fingers felt normal again, as if my hands were no longer small. My middle finger pressed a single button that was at the end of the table, and all of a sudden, the light shining on me disappeared.

Right… that was just my study lamp.

This is… my studying table?

I lifted my head up, and began looking around to find my situation. It was dim, but I could still see things due to the light from the window.

I am in my bedroom. Right in front of me is my studying table, complete with stacked books, empty mug, and an opened book where I previously laid down my hands.

Ah… I fell asleep.

I looked at the digital clock at the far right of my table, and found that two hours had passed since I fell asleep. It is still almost five in the morning, and I fell asleep around two or three.

I slept for… not that long?

But it felt like I was sleeping for ages. The dream felt so stupidly long.

Wait…

What did I dreamt about, again?
