Chapter 1
Chapter one.
Avyanne clutched her neck as she staggered towards the tall blonde woman in leather.
"You foul beast!" She spat. It came out broken but vicious, her eyes fluctuated from mustard yellow to green as she tried to summon her wolf but failed. Her vision was blurry, her heart rate erratic, and her legs shaky as she moved closer to the woman who had a malevolent smile plastered on her face. There was only one thing on her mind, murder. She wanted to tear that smile off her vile face. She reached for the woman's neck, almost grabbing it but it was too late, her wobbly legs chose then to give out on her. Just as her hands wrapped around the neck of the woman she fell to her knees at the last second. The woman stared down at Avyanne on her knees with a vindictive smile, Her eyes dancing as she watched the poison do its work. There was something akin to blood lust in her eyes.
"Nancy you monster!" Avyanne yelled, still clutching her neck with one hand, she was finding it more and more difficult to breathe with every second that went by. Her body shivered in pain. Aconite; she thought. She had been poisoned with aconite. Her veins burnt beneath her flesh. She could feel her organs shrivel from within… her wolf howled in pain causing a terrible ringing in her ears. She had been poisoned by Nancy.
"Ouu! Fiesty. I have to say, I quite like this look on you Avyanne, kneeling before me, it's almost like you are paying me tribute. How the tables have turned"
Avyanne spat at her. It was the only thing she could do as her hands had become too heavy to move. She wanted to silence her foul mouth that dared to speak to her and take out her eyes that dared to look down on her. Who did she think she was?
"Tsk, tsk, tsk… I wouldn't do that if I were you Avy" she smirked.
"You have less than twenty seconds till you are completely paralyzed, I suggest you use the remaining time to pray not that it would do you any good anyway, but I'm sure you'd prefer to die a painless death, wouldn't you?"
"Are you threatening me?". Avyanne gritted out.
"Threatening you?" Nancy scoffed "My love I don't have to threaten you, your life is already in my hands"
Avyanne's blood boiled in her veins. She hated how helpless she was. She wanted to rip the woman apart but couldn't, she was too weak to move even a single muscle.
"You will rue this day. I promise you!"
"The dead should not be making promises of love"
Nancy replied, cackling at Luna's anguished expression.
Avyanne glared at her with the little strength she had. If eyes could kill, Nancy would have been six feet under with maggots eating at her flesh with the way she was looking at her.
"Oh cheer up love, your eyes can't do anything to me. Now, Any last words, your grace?” Nancy made a show of bowing to Avyanne as if to mock how powerless she had become. A powerful queen now reduced to nothing but a corpse beneath her. She was looking at her through long blonde lashes, a wry smile on her face.
She stood straight again, her dark smile still in place, and began to toy with her long sharp pointy claws.
Avyanne said nothing just glared.
"What's wrong Luna, cat got your tongue?" she said, stepping closer to Avyanne. Her eyes sparkled with mischief.
Avyanne glared at Nancy with all the hatred her weak body could muster. She did have words for her but it would be the last words she'd hear before everything she had stolen from her will begin to fight against her.
"I swear on my dead body,” she coughed as saliva drooled from her lips. “I will haunt your entire existence. You will never know peace as long as I remain in the memory of everyone here!" She coughed violently. Her eyes turned into a piercing yellow despite the fact that she was drugged with aconite and unable to summon her wolf. She fell to the ground with a thump, her body too weak to hold her up.
As she lay helpless on the ground of her throne room, thoughts of how she had gotten here plagued her mind.
Avyanna couldn’t believe that even though she had helped her husband succeed and even given him authority over the Kingdom of Wales that belonged to her, she would still be betrayed by him. She cherished what they had together but he was willing to risk it all to entertain a lowly omega who turned out to be the devil. She wanted to scream at how foolish she had been to trust Ericson, her husband.
She did not expect in a million years to be betrayed by the man she loved so much. The beautiful life she thought she had had been nothing but an illusion, a lie. It was so easily destroyed by a weak omega.
Her life was no longer hers once she entertained the impostor in her pack, and not even Ericson could see what she saw.
A flash of when Nancy first came to the palace -battered and unclothed assaulted her vision. She had been foolish to have let her into her pack even when her instincts fought against it. She had not been able to let a woman suffer when she could provide refuge. That was her mistake. She should have left her for dead but it was too late now she was the one being left for dead.
"A lot of harsh words coming from a corpse, '' Nancy smirked down at her. There was a menacing aura emanating from her, she looked nothing like the tattered, innocent woman her husband had brought home. Avyanne wondered why she hadn't noticed before now. She had been so caught up with being a good queen for her country that she didn't realize that she had invited the devil into her home who had nothing but bad intentions for her. She had hidden her true intentions pretending to be a helpless woman while plotting against her.
Nancy's grin widened as she watched Avyanne struggle to breathe. Her plans had finally come to fruition. Luna's words meant nothing to her. Months of planning, biding her time, and enduring the woman's orders had finally led to her victory. The master would be proud.
"I may be the one suffering but your days are numbered, Nancy!"
Nancy cackled.
"By who, you?… Darling, please don't make me laugh. You will die here and soon enough your subjects will forget about you in no time. It's nothing personal"
Nancy said. she spread her fingers apart with wicked intentions in her eyes, she stepped closer to where Avyanne lay paralyzed and helpless "Don't worry I'll make sure to take care of your husband while you're gone…". " your grace"
Avyanne could do nothing but glare helplessly at her. "Night, night" Nancy smiled wickedly and drove her claws into Avyanna’s neck in one swift movement, Her claws pierced deep into Avyanna’s flesh until it had a full grip on her trachea. “This is how you die.” Nancy cackled maniacally as she squeezed and twisted her grip on Avy’s trachea, ripping it out of her neck.
Avyanna gurgled for life as blood geeked out of what used to be her neck. Nancy stood over Luna's bloodied body and basked in victory. “I have waited so long to do this.” Nancy licked the blood off her claws with a glint of euphoria in her eyes.
"Stupid bitch. Finally, you are out of the way"
Laying on the floor in such a pitiful state, Avyanna didn't feel pain, just a coarse sensation of drowning - drowning in an endless sea of darkness, falling into oblivion, struggling with the current that pushed her further below into the unknown. Into the darkness…
It was dark, pitch black, so dark she couldn't even feel her weight. It was almost like she had turned into a feather and was being carried by an angry wind. What is this feeling?
She pondered, unable to understand what was happening to her body.
At the heart of the darkness, a veil appeared and opened to reveal a blood moon that cast its tentacles upon an unfamiliar dark castle giving it an eerie look. Avyanne shivered in fear at the spooky feel of the place she had just found herself in. The statue of the gargoyle hung above the six pillars of the entrance to the unfamiliar castle, guarding it with a menacing glare and a sense of duty. Their eyes shone a deep crimson as they glared at Avyanne.
A strong breeze opened the castle doors with a force that should have split the door into two but didn't.
Within the castle was a table long and dark and at the head of the table appeared the image of a wolf that was not familiar to her. The wolf was not alone; it stood with a silhouetted figure that bore a dark semblance of the wolf. Its piercing yellow eyes were similar to the aura that emitted from the silhouette. She had no idea what she saw or what it was or where she was but she was scared of the malevolent aura that oozed from the silhouette. goosebumps scattered about her skin and something akin to fear gripped at her heart. Was this hell?
The myth’s belly growled as he pierced Avyanna with his glare, the only visible part of his body. He was finally face to face with what was causing the anomaly that wrecked his existence. He reached his claws into the darkness, seeking Avyanna’s life force, but it was not within his grasp.
Avyanna was oblivious to the myth’s intentions but she was aware of his presence.
Who is this?
What's happening to me?
Is this the afterlife? It seems so bleak. Could this be the devil?
Questions upon questions plagued her mind as she continued being at the mercy of the darkness, falling deeper and deeper into a world unbeknownst to her.
Suddenly darkness engulfed the castle. She was once again submerged in the darkness away from the myth's grasp. She began to fall deeper into the darkness again until a dim light appeared at the end of the unknown. The dim light grew brighter as she fell deeper into the abyss.
Then came the blinding light that engulfed her, blinding her vision. Her body lit up as she came face to face with another figure but instead of the dangerous menacing aura she had felt before, she sensed a peaceful aura that calmed her racing heart. She felt the power of this new entity even though she could not see it. Avyanne watched as a figure, shaped like a hand covered in translucent light moved towards her and touched her forehead. Was this paradise? Is my soul about to be taken to heaven? Avyanne wondered as she felt her body begin to float upward, first slowly and then a bit faster and then even faster. She screamed when the force and speed at which she accelerated upward increased dramatically as if she was being sucked up by a vacuum.
Faster and faster she went until suddenly she came to a stop.
Avyanne gasped as she popped open her eyes and all the faded-out sounds of reality flooded back into her ears; the sensation of being sucked up was now extinct. Fear was no longer glued to her skin.
Her eyes adjusted to the brightness of a place, a place familiar to her but at the same time unfamiliar. She discovered she was in a field she knew before, from a distant past but at the same time a place where she didn't remember.
It was all surreal to her
Where am I?
How did I get here?
She pondered.

From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
