Now she is back, with bloodstained memories and a thirst for revenge. Desperate and broken, she made a deal with the devil, a man powerful enough to hand her the weapons.
But his help comes at a price.
To be owned by him. For four months. A strict deal with no strings or feelings attached. But nothing about him is simple. He's infuriating, intoxicating, and every second with him chips away at her control.
What starts as business quickly spirals into a dangerous game of possession, secrets, and desire. And when hearts get involved, the real cost becomes something more than she bargained for.
He’s the last man she should trust… and the only one who makes her lose control.
Chapter 1
“Still not answering?” Laera’s voice snapped Eloise out of her daze.
She shook her head, eyes glassy. “I’ve called him five times. He knows Alisha’s in the hospital, but he hasn’t even texted back.”
Laera frowned.“Your daughter has a high fever, and Mason can’t pick up the phone?”
Eloise wanted to defend him, but the words caught in her throat. Deep down, she’d felt it for months now. He wasn’t really here anymore. Not for her. Not for Alisha.
Her phone buzzed. A message from Mason.
“In a meeting. Handle it. I’ll check later.”
Laera snatched the phone and read it aloud. “Handle it?” she hissed. “Are you his assistant or his wife?”
Months ago, Eloise has handed over her entire company to him—her husband. It was supposed to be temporary, just while she focused on Alisha’s early years. He said he’d take care of everything. And she had believed him.
Behind her, Laera muttered,“If Mason’s not hiding something, I’ll eat my shoes.”
Before Eloise could defend Mason, a nurse rushed over. “Mrs. Cormac, the doctor needs to see you. It’s urgent.”
Eloise stood up at once. “What’s wrong with her?”
“We’re not sure yet. We’ll need bloodwork and scans. It could be a viral infection, or something else. Please stay close.”
The next hour passed in a blur of nurses, needles, and waiting. Eloise never left her daughter’s side. She tried calling Mason again. Voicemail.
Finally, the doctor returned. "What happened to Alisha is a genetic condition called Hereditary Fructose Intolerance, known as HFI," the doctor explained.
“HFI?,”Eloise looked from the doctor to Laera in surprise and turned back to the doctor, “I don't understand.”
“HFI is a rare genetic disorder where the body can't break down fructose, and if a baby with this takes solid food containing fructose or sucrose, it would cause severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and lethargy, just like we saw today.”
Eloise covered her trembling lips with her palm, her eyes welled up in tears, and her chest felt so heavy that Laera's pat on the back wasn't felt. Her eyes turned towards her child on the bed, and her heart broke.
“It's okay, Mrs Cormac,” the doctor said, “it is not life-threatening as long as it's been managed, and I'm sure you must be familiar with how that can be done.”
“Huh?” she glanced back at the doctor, and shook her head, “No, I'm not familiar.”
The doctor looked at her, surprised,“Don't you have the same diagnosis? Or is it your husband who has it?”
“No, doctor. We eat fruit and sugar all the time—no issues at all.”
“Well, that's strange, Is there anyone else in your family with a record of…?”
“Not at all,” she replied before the doctor finished,
“I'm surprised, Mrs Cormac, cause it is hereditary, and according to the test result, she got it from a close relative, either from the mother or the father.”
Everyone stared at one another. Eloise looked confused and surprised at how impossible the diagnosis was.
“You sure no one has this?”Laera asked,
“No one,”she insisted, then suddenly paused. A memory flickered.
“I know of someone, though, with the same intolerance.”
“Who?”the doctor asked,
“It's not possible to have gotten it from her, Tamara, she's my best friend from childhood, she's the only one around me with such.”
Dr. Monica and Laera glanced at each other. Monica sighed and made to speak when a fellow blonde-haired doctor strode into the room.
“Monica, are you busy?” she asked briskly.
“What is it?”
“I need your help with a five-month-old baby in Ward C,” the woman said.
“Please give me a few minutes.”
“Sure.” The doctor nodded and turned to leave—then froze, her eyes locking on Eloise.
“You…” she said slowly, as if making sure she wasn’t imagining it. “Mrs. Cormac?”
Eloise blinked, startled. Then her eyes lit up in recognition. “Oh my God… Dr. Glenda, you’re back!” She closed the distance and embraced her. Years seemed to collapse into that single moment.
“You two know each other?” Monica asked, clearly surprised.
“Yes!” Eloise smiled through the shock. “She was my doctor. She helped deliver my baby, then left for overseas that very night.”
“I’m sorry I had to go so suddenly,”Glenda said, guilt flashing in her eyes.
“It’s okay. You’re forgiven,”Eloise smiled warmly.
“So what brings you here?”Glenda asked.
“My baby got sick, so I brought her in.”
Glenda walked to the bed and looked at Alisha. Her eyes softened.“She’s beautiful. How old is she now?”
“Has it been that long that you don't remember the age of the baby you delivered?" Eloise teased, but Glenda's smile slowly faded, confusion and heartbreak hit her heart and facial expression.
“Wh. What do you mean by the baby I delivered?, she asked, her heart pounding.
Eloise chuckled mildly, looking at Glenda strangely, confused at her question and gradual change of attitude.
“Alisha, the baby you helped me deliver a year and a half ago.”
Glenda stepped back, looking between Eloise and Monica. Her hands started to sweat.
No. This wasn’t right. She did deliver a baby that night… but that baby didn’t make it.
“Are you feeling okay?”Eloise asked.
“Of course,”Glenda said quickly.
“Are you on any medication?”Glenda asked suddenly.
Laera and Monica exchanged a look.
“What kind of question is that?”Eloise asked, frowning. “Why are you acting weird?”
Glenda’s throat tightened. Her pulse raced. She couldn’t lie anymore.
She was certain, other nurses were there; she had witnesses, and there was no way she was mistaken.
“Are you okay? Dr. Glenda?”Dr. Monica asked worriedly, noticing her breathing raggedly.
She had managed to live past that night, that night that tormented her career for months, causing her fear every time she stepped into the delivery room. She couldn't have been mistaken about that night.
“Is everything okay…,”
“No,” she shook her head, managing to swallow as she felt a lump in her throat.
“I did deliver your baby,” she whispered. “But… that baby was stillborn. She didn’t make it, Mrs. Eloise.”
The room went dead silent.
The room froze.
Eloise blinked her eyes slowly, her body felt like stone. Her mind, worse. She glared at Glenda with her jaw tightened.
“Are you kidding me? Is this some sort of a joke?” she asked, her eyes blaring.
“Mrs Eloise, we've known each other for quite a while, and you know I have no reason to lie to you...”
Eloise furrowed her brow, shocked.
"No way! " Her heart started racing, and she parted her lips but found no words. All she could do was shake her head. “You must be mistaken. You know what? Just get out! Get out!” she ordered, her breath getting ragged.
“Let's all calm down,” Dr. Monica interjected, “There's one way to be sure. A quick DNA test.”

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...
Angelina, the most powerful Alpha who conquered forty-nine packs, dies in a yacht explosion—only to wake up as Aria Sterling, a fifteen-year-old Omega's daughter who just died from bullying.
The original Aria's life was a nightmare. Humiliated when golden boy Kai Matthews posted her love letter online, then shoved to death by his girlfriend Bella Morrison. But that's not all her family faces:
"You got until Monday," the tattooed gangster sneered at Aria's mother. "Ten grand cash. Or I'm taking collateral—your kids' organs fetch top dollar. That pretty daughter of yours? She could make us money another way too."
Now Angelina's lethal combat skills awaken in this fragile body. No more hiding. No more fear.
Armed with an Alpha's ruthlessness and a mysterious blood-red pendant, she'll dismantle everyone who hurt this family—one calculated move at a time.
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
Although Austin 'Booker' Carver is enamored by the innocent Dani, he tries to keep the police chief's daughter at arm's length. But when a threat is made from an unexpected source, he finds himself falling hard and fast for the only woman who can tame his wild heart.
Will Booker be able to find the source of the threat before it's too late?
Will Dani finally give her heart to a man who's everything she's been warned about?
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
