Introduction
Chapter 1
Luna's POV
I awoke to the melodious sound of birds singing outside my window. Slowly opening my eyes, I felt a slight discomfort between my legs. Memories of the previous night came rushing back, causing a blush to creep onto my cheeks. I had not only slept once but many times with Primo, the cold and dominant Alpha of our pack.
Yet, as I surveyed the room, I realized that Primo was nowhere to be found. Panic began to consume me as I realized he hadn't marked me as his mate yet after all the nights we had shared. It was the one thing I had longed for—to finally have a place in this pack and be accepted by my mate.
I swiftly dressed and headed to Primo's room. My heart raced with a mix of excitement and anxiety as I knocked on the door. What if he didn't want me as his mate?
I've already given myself to him multiple times, so it's time to address any uncertainties between us.
When the door opened, Primo stood shirtless before me, his expression inscrutable. Disappointment washed over me at his lack of attire, but I couldn't help but admire his chiseled physique.
"Luna," he spoke in a commanding tone.
"What brings you here?"
"I-I just wanted to talk to you," I stuttered, feeling uneasy under his penetrating gaze.
He gestured for me to enter, and I hesitated before stepping into his room. The decor reflected his dark and rich personality. As I perched on the edge of his bed, he stood in front of me with his arms folded.
I exclaimed, "Last night was incredible," not sure how to begin the conversation.
Primo's lips formed a slight smile. "'I'm glad you enjoyed yourself."
"Why haven't you claimed me, though?" I inquired, speaking softly.
Primo's face became solemn and he sighed deeply. "Luna, you're only an omega. I can't claim you as my mate."
His words pierced through my heart, causing it to break into a million pieces. I had held onto the hope that our time together meant something to him, that he saw me as more than just a mere omega. However, it became painfully clear that I was nothing more than another conquest to him.
As tears welled up in my eyes, I fought to suppress my overwhelming emotions.
"Why? Why wouldn't you give us a chance?" I managed to choke out, my voice quivering.
His response hit me like a ton of bricks.
"As an omega, you have no right to be a mate to an alpha like me. It's just the way things are."
I couldn't comprehend what I was hearing. All my life, I had yearned for the day I would find my mate, someone who would love and accept me unconditionally. And now, that dream was shattered in an instant.
"But... last night, we had sex, not just once, but multiple times," I stammered, my voice trembling.
"Because I want to. Your body brought me pleasure that I can't resist, but I acknowledge that it's just physical satisfaction and nothing deeper." he replied.
I was consumed by a mix of anger and pain. "Is pleasure all that matters to you?"
Primo's gaze met mine, regret briefly flickering before his cold facade returned.
"You know your place as an omega, Luna. I can't change that."
I stood up, fists clenched. "You used me!"
Primo's jaw tensed, conflict evident in his eyes. Before he could respond, I left, tears falling.
Heading back to my room, I felt foolish. I had hoped Primo cared, but I was just a pawn in his game.
After spending the entire day in my room, shedding tears and grappling with the harsh reality, I realized that I had given my heart and body to someone who didn't value it, someone who couldn't fulfill my deepest desires. It became clear to me that I meant nothing to him; he only desired my body.
As the sun began to set, a knock on my door interrupted my thoughts. Opening the door, I was surprised to see Amy standing there.
"Luna, have you heard? The Alpha's daughter is here!" Amy exclaimed, her eyes filled with excitement.
"Are you serious? Why would she be here?" I asked, unable to believe what I was hearing.
"I'm not sure. Let's go find out," Amy replied, her forehead creased with concern.
We hurried to the council office and upon arrival, I found myself frozen in shock. Alpha's daughter was clinging onto him like a lost puppy. It dawned on me that she might be the reason why Primo didn't claim me as his own. My heart sank at the realization.
"Luna, are you alright?" Amy's concerned voice brought me back to reality. I mustered a smile and nodded, concealing the pain welling up inside me.
"I'm okay, just a bit taken aback," I responded, my voice strained.
"I can sense something's troubling you. Is it because of Seraphina?" Amy inquired, her eyes brimming with sympathy.
Seraphina, the Alpha's daughter, had a name that suited her beauty.
I released a sigh and gave a silent nod, hesitant to voice my thoughts. Amy stood beside me, her presence offering a sense of solace that I couldn't quite grasp.
"You looked up to Alpha Primo so much, and it's hard to see him with someone else. But remember, he's the Alpha of the pack, and it's customary for him to be with someone of high rank," Amy reassured me, attempting to comfort.
It's not just about status; it's about us. He's been intimate with me multiple times, not just once. Yet, he still hasn't acknowledged me as his mate because I'm just an omega and he only wants my body. And now, I can see the way he gazes at her, filled with admiration.
"You don't understand, Amy. You don't know everything," I replied, holding back tears.
"Is there something I should know?" she inquired, puzzled.
Suddenly, the head council spoke up, their words reverberating through the room.
"I wish to announce that Alpha Primo and Seraphina will be officially bonded as mates during the upcoming full moon."

Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”

On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
