Introduction
Chapter 1
Elara's POV
I stood at the edge of the training field, half-hidden behind the thick oak trees. My plain gray dress felt too simple, too dull against the golden afternoon light. Warriors sparred in the open grass, their muscles flexing as they moved with power and confidence. I watched them quietly, my arms wrapped around my waist like I needed to hold myself in place.
"Look at her, still hiding like always," a female beta whispered, not bothering to lower her voice. "Poor Elara. The Moon Goddess must have messed up pairing her with Alpha Thorne."
Her friend laughed softly. "Can you blame him if he has second thoughts? She’s so… quiet. Weak."
I kept my eyes on the ground and pretended I hadn’t heard them. I had listened to comments like that for weeks. At twenty-two years old, I should have been bursting with excitement about tomorrow’s bonding ceremony. Instead, a heavy knot twisted in my stomach and refused to leave.
My twin sister Selene was everything I wasn’t. Bold. Strong. Beautiful. While my wolf felt small and uncertain inside me, hers burned bright. Our parents never tried to hide who they favored. From the time we were little, Selene got the best trainers, the prettiest clothes, and all the praise. I got whatever remained and the sad, pitying glances.
"Elara!" My mother’s sharp voice pulled me out of my thoughts. Luna Mother Amelia walked toward me quickly, her elegant green gown brushing the grass. "What are you doing standing out here? You should be inside preparing. Tomorrow is the ceremony. The whole pack will be watching you."
"I just needed fresh air, Mother," I said softly, forcing a small smile. "Everything feels so big right now."
Mother sighed and looked past me toward the field. Selene stood in the middle of a group of young warriors, laughing loudly at something one of them said. Her dark hair shone under the sunlight, and her fitted training clothes showed off her strong, toned body. She looked like a true Luna already.
"You know how important tomorrow is," Mother said, her voice low and tense. "Thorne is our Alpha. He needs a strong mate beside him. There are doubts in the pack, Elara. Real doubts. Some of the elders are openly questioning the Goddess’s choice."
My chest squeezed painfully. "I know. I feel it every time they look at me."
"Then do something about it," she replied. There was no comfort in her words, only impatience. "Your sister has spent all day helping prepare the ritual grounds. You could take a lesson from her."
Of course Selene had been helping. She always stepped up while I stayed in the background. I nodded anyway. "I’ll try, Mother."
She gave me one last disappointed look before walking away. I turned toward the pack house, my feet heavy. The grand wooden building sat at the heart of Moonshadow territory, surrounded by thick ancient forests that kept us safe. Our pack had grown strong and wealthy under Alpha Thorne. Beautiful modern houses stood next to old longhouses, and expensive cars lined the driveways. Everything looked perfect from the outside. But I knew the cracks.
I slipped inside through a side door and headed to my small room at the back of the family wing. The main halls buzzed with excitement. Servants carried flowers and silk banners for tomorrow’s decorations. Everyone smiled and whispered about the big day. I tried to feel the same joy, but it kept slipping away.
Thorne. Just thinking his name made my heart beat faster. The Moon Goddess had marked us as fated mates when we turned twenty. At first, I couldn’t believe it. Alpha Thorne Blackwood — tall, powerful, and respected by everyone — was meant for me. He had been kind in the beginning. He smiled at me during pack meetings and sometimes walked with me through the forest. Those moments gave me hope that maybe I could become the Luna this pack needed.
But lately, that hope felt fragile. Thorne had grown distant. Our conversations felt short. When I looked into his eyes, I sometimes saw doubt staring back at me.
I sat on the edge of my bed and stared at my hands. They were soft, not calloused like Selene’s from hours of training. My wolf had never been strong. The pack healers called me "barren" behind my back because my shifts were slow and painful, and I had never gone into heat like other she-wolves my age. How could someone like me stand beside an Alpha?
A soft knock sounded on my door before it opened. Selene stepped inside without waiting for an answer. She still wore her training clothes, her skin glowing with a light sheen of sweat. She looked radiant.
"Sister," she said with a bright smile that didn’t reach her eyes. "Mother said you were hiding again. Nervous about tomorrow?"
I stood up and tried to match her energy. "A little. It’s a big day for all of us."
Selene walked over to my mirror and fixed her hair, admiring her own reflection. "It is. Everyone is talking about it. They keep saying how lucky you are to be fated to Thorne." She paused and met my eyes in the mirror. "But they also wonder if you can handle it. Being Luna isn’t just about the bond, Elara. It’s about strength. Power."
Her words stung, but I kept my voice steady. "I know that. I’ll do my best."
She turned around and gave me a sweet smile that felt sharp. "Of course you will. We’re twins, after all. I’ll be right there supporting you." She walked to the door, then stopped. "Oh, and Thorne asked me to help with some last-minute preparations tonight. You don’t mind, do you?"
I shook my head. "No, it’s fine."
"Good." She flashed another smile and left, closing the door behind her.
I sank back onto the bed, my shoulders heavy. Supporting me. That was what she called it. But I had seen the way she looked at Thorne lately. The way she touched his arm when they spoke. I pushed the thoughts away. The Goddess had chosen me. That had to mean something.
The rest of the evening passed in a blur of preparations. I bathed with the special oils Mother sent, brushed my long brown hair until it shone, and tried on my bonding dress. The white silk felt soft against my skin, but I still looked small in the mirror. Ordinary.
Later that night, as the pack house grew quiet, I sat at my mother’s old dressing table. She had left some of her belongings for me to use. I opened a small wooden box and sorted through old jewelry and trinkets. My fingers brushed against something cold and heavy at the bottom.
I pulled out an ancient-looking pendant. It was silver with a dark stone in the center, carved with strange runes I didn’t recognize. The moment my skin touched it, the stone began to glow with a soft, silver light. Warmth spread through my fingers and up my arm. My wolf stirred inside me, stronger than I had ever felt before.
What is this? I thought, staring at the glowing pendant.
The door creaked open behind me. I quickly closed my hand around the pendant, hiding its light.
Selene stepped into my room, still wearing a satisfied smile. She looked at me standing there in my nightgown, then at my closed fist.
"Enjoy tonight, sister," she said sweetly, her eyes gleaming. "Tomorrow everything changes."
She closed the door before I could respond, leaving me alone with the glowing pendant and
a cold feeling of dread in my chest.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Accardi
“I thought you said you were done chasing me?” Gen mocked.
“I am done chasing you.”
Before she could formulate a witty remark, Matteo threw her down. She landed hard on her back atop his dining room table. She tried to sit up when she noticed what he was doing. His hands were working on his belt. It came free of his pants with a violent yank. She collapsed back on her elbows, her mouth gaping open at the display. His face was a mask of sheer determination, his eyes were a dark gold swimming with heat and desire. His hands wrapped around her thighs and pulled her to the edge of the table. He glided his fingers up her thighs and hooked several around the inside of her panties. His knuckles brushed her dripping sex.
“You’re soaking wet, Genevieve. Tell me, was it me that made you this way or him?” his voice told her to be careful with her answer. His knuckles slid down through her folds and she threw her head back as she moaned. “Weakness?”
“You…” she breathed.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.

Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
