Introduction
For the first time, I looked at Alpha Bronson, hoping I had heard him right.
Was he trying to accept me?
"Come with me, dear mate..." The moment he took my hand, I felt the necessary spark and he withdrew almost immediately. "Take the lead." He said pushing his hands behind him.
Something in me knew it was a bad idea to follow him to the podium where the induction would take place, but I had no choice but to follow him.
"Get on the stage!" he ordered and I did as he told me.
It was clear that no one was interested in seeing me, and many even spat on the floor because they thought I irritated them.
"Pack members, look what the Moon Goddess has given me as a mate." Although his tone was laced with hate, I didn't know what he was going to do next.
"What do you think I'm going to do to her?"
The crowd roared to life.
"Reject her!"
"Send her away!"
"She's a disgrace!"
I wished I had never come. I wished I could disappear.
"Well, no matter what you all say, I still have the final decision to make. That's why..." He turned to look at me with a smile. "I, Alpha Bronson Stormbreaker, leader of the Ember Moon Pack, reject you as my mate." I felt the bond that had been created spark after the break as the entire crowd screamed with joy.
"You really thought I would accept a murderer to be my Luna?"
I couldn't hear any more. It was more torture to my skin than the pain I felt when the captain of the guard used the whip on me.
How did the Moon Goddess choose to ruin me so much with such a person.
Chapter 1
Madison POV
"You are nothing short of a disgrace to this very pack that you believe is your home." I closed my eyes in pain, as another whip sliced through my back.
Many would scream, as the whip landed, but I was already used to the beating from the soldiers.
"You are not only a disgrace but a thief." He said, referencing the actual reason I was being beaten and battered in the first place.
It was a lame allegation by members of my pack to have informed the Alpha that I stole their clothes when I was not even allowed to step foot outside the pack mansion.
I just didn't understand why I was hated so much.
"What else do you want the Alpha to do for you? He gives you the necessary food, provides you with shelter and despite how your father murdered his own father, he still provided you with a home." The words of the commander pierced through my ears.
I cannot voice our and deny any of these allegations, or else he will make my life far worse than it was already.
"Please, sir." I tried to appeal to his conscience after he had taken some steps backward to get water. "I didn't steal any clothes. I am innocent." My eyes became even teary as I spoke.
"That little drama of yours cannot fool me. You are a liar and I cannot believe a word that comes out of your mouth." He retorted and spit out his water on my head.
"This is my act of kindness to you. If I hear reports that you stole again? I will allow the Alpha to permit me to kill you." He threatened and walked away.
When it looked like he was leaving the room, he paused and turned around to stare at me. "Get your low miserable self off that ground at once!" I struggled to stand up to my feet. I felt stiffness across my body and my muscles were sore.
"I want you to go and clean the long hallway and every other room available in the pack mansion. Do I make myself clear?"
I nodded my head and he walked away afterwards.
Why did my life have to be so meaningless? I am suffering the harsh consequences of my father's actions.
If I could picture his face one more time, I would curse out at him for everything he is making me go through.
I gathered all the strength I could muster and moved my body to the hallway. I took a quick glance at the task and knew it would take a full blown day to finish up.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed the mop, ready to start the cleaning process, when I instinctively felt someone was behind me. He grabbed my waist, rocking my bosom, while his breathing became hard.
"Are you trying to run away from me whore?" Seth's husky voice whispered across my ear, as I cringed in disgust.
Seth was Alpha Bronson's Beta and a pervert. I have always tried to get away from his reach, but he never seemed to give up on having his way with me.
"No please Beta. I am just trying to do my punishment." I tried to get his hands away from my body.
"Oh, I see, you are being punished again? Suits you right. I don't care what you are going through, but I must have you this moment "
If he thought being battered was appealing, then he was certainly sick in the head. I tried to struggle with him, as he kept moving his hands across the sensitive parts of my body.
"Please, I cannot do this."
"You are mine, little slut. Stay still and don't question me." He said, but I didn't stay still. He was abusing my body and I felt uncomfortable about it.
"What seems to be the matter here?" Seth would let go of my body the moment the authoritative voice of Alpha Bronson echoed across the kitchen.
"I am sorry Alpha that you had to see that. The little thief was trying to steal from me again and I needed to teach her a harsh lesson."
I was flabbergasted by the way he had flipped the whole situation before the Alpha. I didn't dare protest as he gave me a murderous stare.
Slowly I noticed Alpha coming in my direction and I lowered my head daring not to look him in the face.
"The commander informed me about how you stole some of the pack member's clothes. Are you trying to rest my patience?" He asked in a very cold tone.
"Alpha I didn't..." I couldn't complete my words as he grabbed my throat, forcing me to choke and gasping for breath.
"You do not speak when I speak to you." From his voice, I could tell his wolf was fighting to take over.
"The very next time I hear about you stealing again," he leaned further to my ears to whisper. "I will hang you on the gallows and watch the vultures eat every last bit of your flesh."
He let go and I gasped for every possible air that my lungs could carry and coughed out hard. As the Alpha walked away, I could see the huge smirk on the face of Seth.
His manipulation had led me to this state and he was all happy that I was suffering. Sometimes I wonder why the Moon Goddess chooses to leave me in such a predicament, while the actual wicked people live happily.
As they both left the kitchen, I dropped to the floor crying really hard.
Why did my life have to be like this? Why did I have to go through so much pain, when my only crime was being a product of a murderer?
I gently placed my hands across my neck and realized I had another bruise that would be etched on my body for days.
My birthday was approaching and I will be seeing my mate. Seeing my mate in this condition, I could only hope he accepted me for who I am.

After One Night with the Alpha
I thought I was waiting for love. Instead, I got fucked by a beast.
My world was supposed to bloom at the Moonshade Bay Full Moon Festival—champagne buzzing in my veins, a hotel room booked for Jason and me to finally cross that line after two years. I’d slipped into lacy lingerie, left the door unlocked, and lay on the bed, heart pounding with nervous excitement.
But the man who climbed into my bed wasn’t Jason.
In the pitch-black room, drowned in a heady, spicy scent that made my head spin, I felt hands—urgent, scorching—searing my skin. His thick, pulsing cock pressed against my dripping cunt, and before I could gasp, he thrust hard, tearing through my innocence with ruthless force. Pain burned, my walls clenching as I clawed at his iron shoulders, stifling sobs. Wet, slick sounds echoed with every brutal stroke, his body unrelenting until he shuddered, spilling hot and deep inside me.
"That was amazing, Jason," I managed to say.
"Who the fuck is Jason?"
My blood turned to ice. Light slashed across his face—Brad Rayne, Alpha of Moonshade Pack, a werewolf, not my boyfriend. Horror choked me as I realized what I’d done.
I ran away for my life!
But weeks later, I woke up pregnant with his heir!
They say my heterochromatic eyes mark me as a rare true mate. But I’m no wolf. I’m just Elle, a nobody from the human district, now trapped in Brad's world.
Brad’s cold gaze pins me: “You carry my blood. You’re mine.”
There is no other choice for me but to chose this cage. My body also betrays me, craving the beast who ruined me.
