Chapter 1
“If you fail, don’t come back home.”
Her words still ring in my ears. My mother didn’t yell, but I felt every syllable like a weight pressing down on me. I nodded, silent, because I couldn’t trust my voice not to shake. I had to pass my promotion test at Moonbridge Academy. I had to and if I failed… I couldn’t even imagine what would happen.
The next morning, I walked toward the academy gates, my books pressed tightly against my chest. Every step felt heavier than the last. The hallways were already crowded with students, laughing and joking like nothing mattered. I tried to block it out. The knot in my stomach tightened with every step.
“Hey, Elena!”
I turned to see Ryan waving at me. Ryan had always been kind. He seemed to notice when something was wrong, even when no one else did.
“Hey,” I said, forcing a smile.
“You look tense,” he said as we walked together. “Didn’t sleep well?”
I shook my head. “Just… a lot on my mind. Big day today.”
He raised an eyebrow knowingly. “Promotion test results?”
I nodded silently. I had hoped I wouldn’t have to face it so soon. “Yeah. I’ll know today if I… passed.”
We walked into the classroom just as the teachers started handing back the results. The room went quiet for a moment, all eyes on the papers. My hands shook as I took mine. I wanted to hide from the world, but then I remembered my mother’s words:
If you fail, don’t come back home.
Panic hit me again. My chest tightened, I couldn’t go back. Not like this.
“Uh… what does it say?” Ryan asked gently.
I swallowed hard. I couldn’t speak. I only nodded and whispered, “I failed my wolf test, I eed… I need to take it again.”
Ryan frowned. “What do you mean?”
“I… I have to see Professor Charles,” I admitted, my voice barely audible. “I can’t… I can’t go home like this.”
Ryan put a hand on my shoulder. “Are you sure? He’s… not exactly easy to deal with.”
“I know,” I said, nodding. “But I have no choice.”
He didn’t argue. Just gave me a small, encouraging smile before walking away. I turned toward the professor’s office, my legs moving on their own. My heart beat faster with every step. The hallway seemed longer, the walls tighter. My palms were sweaty, my stomach twisting in nerves.
When I reached the office, I paused outside the large wooden door. I had never been this close without an appointment. The nameplate read: Professor Charles. I had heard stories about him being strict, unforgiving and terrifying. Some said he could see right through lies, making people feel small and exposed.
I took a deep breath and knocked lightly.
“Come in,” his deep voice said.
I opened the door and stepped inside. There he was. Professor Charles., his dark eyes locked onto me, studying me carefully. There was no smile, no welcome. Just a look that made me feel completely exposed.
“Professor,” I said, my voice shaking. “I… I need a second chance. Please. I failed my promotion test, and I… I can’t go back home. Please, give me another chance.”
He leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers, eyes never leaving mine. “You want a second chance?” he asked calmly. “And why should I give it to you?”
I swallowed hard. “I… I’ll do anything. I’ll work harder. I’ll stay late. I’ll follow every rule. Please. I can’t… I can’t fail.”
Professor Charles raised an eyebrow. “Anything?”
“Yes,” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
He studied me in silence. My hands twisted together nervously, my eyes fixed on the floor. I could hear my own heartbeat in the quiet.
Finally, he spoke. “You are desperate, aren’t you?”
“Yes,” I admitted. “I… I can’t go home like this. Please. I’ll do whatever it takes. I just need to take the test again, I'll prove I can do better”
He stood and walked slowly around his desk. Each step made the room feel smaller, the air thicker. He stopped in front of me, his eyes intense. “Do you understand what you are asking for? A second chance… it doesn’t come freely. Not from me, not from anyone who cares about success.”
I nodded quickly. “I understand, sir. Please, I just need to take the test again. I wasn’t serious with the first one, I'll admit I missed some of your classes .”
He leaned closer. “Anything…?”
“Yes,” I whispered.
He tilted his head, as if thinking carefully. Then he straightened. “Very well,” he said. “I can give you another chance but there is one condition.”
I stood still and stare into his eyes.“Condition?”
He stepped back, folding his arms. “The only way I can help you… the only way I can give you a second chance… is if you let me in.”
My stomach dropped. My mind raced. What did he mean? Was it a test? A rule I didn’t know? My heart pounded. I wanted to ask, to plead, to beg for clarification but I couldn’t. I had no other choice.
My lips parted, but no sound came out. My throat felt dry. I wanted to run, to step back, but I didn’t. I couldn’t, my mother would kill me if I came home with this test results.
He smiled faintly, but it didn’t reach his eyes. “Good,” he said softly. “Then we understand each other.”
The words pressed down on me like a heavy weight. I had wanted another chance, to save myself. And now… I wasn’t sure what I had just agreed to.
The door clicked shut behind me. My heart raced so fast I could barely hear anything else. I had begged, pleaded, and now I had agreed.
But agreed to what?
Everything had changed in that moment.
“The only way I can help you,” he said, “is if you let me in.”
I froze. What did he mean by that?

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
Oops, Wrong Girl to Bully
My back hit the desk. Pain exploded through my skull.
"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
I fell. My head cracked against the corner.
Warmth trickled down my neck. Blood.
Their laughter turned to gasps.
The door slammed.
I tried to stand. Couldn't. The room was spinning, fading to black.
Someone... please...

A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
