Introduction
“How could you do this to me! I’ve done so much for you, and you slept with my best friend Michelle! What’s going on between you two?”
I roared, throwing a pretty cushion at them both.
“You filthy little bitch! I don’t know what I ever saw in you!”
He yelled at me, jumped up, and slapped me hard across the face, drawing blood from my lip.
At that moment, I felt utterly hopeless. I decided to leave this place, leave these two scumbags, and start a new life somewhere new.
But my wicked husband, like a persistent ghost, found me again and haunted me. Oh God, what am I supposed to do to escape this miserable life!
Chapter 1
I stare at a gray wall, thinking about the hell my life has been. Yes, my entire life feels like one big mistake after another. No one to love me. No one cares enough about my welfare to check in on me. Well, John called, probably to make sure I didn’t kill myself. That was nice of him. He is a good guy, after all.
But it seems to have gotten worse the last month or so. I wish I could go back to that one mistake I made and yell at myself, saying it's not worth the pain! Just leave town and don’t look back! Of course, then I would probably think I had gone insane and just laughed myself to a hospital, which, in all honestly, may have been the best option! At least if I was in a hospital, I wouldn’t be sobbing here in a bathroom over the disaster that is my life.
Two weeks ago, I came out of the doctor's office so excited. It was the happiest day of my entire life! I was finally worth something! I had such big news to tell Chris. I was sure he would be happy once I told him and things would be good with us like they were six months ago. He would start caring about me again… At least, that was what I had naively thought. I know better now!
He’d been acting off lately, and my being sick didn’t help much. He had been pushing me away and spending long hours at work, saying he was trying to save up money or that he had a big project he had been working on. He would take a break in a few weeks, and we could go on a vacation. That was all legit, right? He couldn’t possibly be lying to me! He loved me! He even asked me to marry him, so why would he lie to me?
We’d been married for six months… And yes, getting married at 20 does seem young, and I was naive. I was in love with him, (or at least I thought I was) and he’d showered me with attention. He told me I was the most beautiful woman he’d known, and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me! That had to mean something! Especially when no one ever told me I was beautiful. I was a nuisance and a burden… Not someone to marry just because.
But to be quite honest, I had nowhere else to go. I was so clingy and needy that I didn’t see what he was doing to me until it was too late. I should’ve run when I’d had the chance. I guess that makes me stupid… At least, that is what my parents would’ve told me.
I wish I had a relationship with my parents, but I don't. They kicked me out of the house the moment I turned 18, claiming I was a burden to them. They had used me just like everyone else. They pretended to be loving parents out in public, and at home, I was in hell. They never laid a hand on me, that would’ve got the school involved and eventually the cops. No, it was their words and their neglect that tortured me the most. They would never miss a chance to tell me how useless I was, and I was the reason my twin sister died. Well, if it had been me that died instead of Violet, would they have loved her instead? I guess I’ll never know.
My twin and I were almost identical. We both had flaming red hair, only her eyes were blue, and my eyes were green. She died of pneumonia when I was 5 years old. I have no idea how that means I made my sister die! I was sick too, only I came out of it and she didn’t. All I know is that I miss her and I’ve been lonely since she left me.
I’ve been working odd jobs since I was 12 and have money saved in the bank my parents can’t touch. My grandparents helped me open it without my parent’s knowledge. I wish I could’ve gone to live with them, but they left to travel the world. They didn’t care about me enough to take me with them, only to make it so I could have enough money to fend for myself.
After they kicked me out, I went to my best friend, Michelle, and her family took me in for a few months. I will forever be in their debt. Michelle’s parents, Lidia and Joe were always nice to me and never treated me like I was dead weight, and when we’d saved enough money, Michelle and I got our own apartment.
And then Chris came along like a knight in shining armor… At least that’s what I thought at the moment.
He’s a few years older than me, and he’d already graduated college. He works in finance and had been doing well for himself when he met me at the diner I was working at. I thought it was love at first sight… I definitely should’ve had my eyes checked! But how was I supposed to know? I was so love deprived, I was willing to follow him blindly.
We dated for a total of a month, and I was head over heels for him. He told me I didn’t need to work anymore and I could move in with him. He would take care of me and we could be happy. We could start a family together and grow old… All the fluffy happy dreams floated in front of my eyes, blinding me to reality.
I didn’t know that the moment I agreed to marry him was the first of many mistakes. Why would I agree to something like that after only knowing the man for a month? It sickens me to even think about it now. I am so stupid! I hate how I can be such a pushover! (Well, I guess I’ve learned my lesson now.)
We had a rushed wedding, got married the next week at the courthouse, and I moved in with him. I quit my job just like he’d asked me to and put my money into his account for safe keeping. I know! Why didn’t I see the red flags? They were more like sirens blaring at me to get the hell outta there! And yet, I didn’t listen, thinking he would love me forever. I only have myself to blame for not noticing sooner!
The moment I said “I do,” everything changed. He became controlling and angry. He had to have everything perfect, or he would hit me. Even sex was a form of control, a punishment. I could never do anything good enough for Chris. He would belittle me in front of his friends when he took me to parties and flirt with all the single girls, acting like I wasn’t right there watching the whole thing playing out. And still I couldn’t open my eyes! What is wrong with me? Why didn’t I realize then that no matter what I did, I would never be good enough for his love and affection?
So when I came home that day, with my big news, only to find my husband on the couch with my best friend straddling his naked body, I freaked out. I yelled at them and cussed at them.

Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Claimed by the Alpha's Love
Four years ago, Fiona's meticulously planned conspiracy turned me from an ordinary omega into a prisoner carrying the weight of a murder charge.
Four years later, I return to a world that has changed beyond recognition.
My best friend Fiona, who is also my stepsister, has become the perfect daughter in my mother's eyes. And my ex-boyfriend, Ethan, is about to hold a high-profile mating ceremony with her.
The love, family bonds, and reputation that I once cherished have all been taken by Fiona.
Just when I had reached my breaking point, questioning the very purpose of my existence, the legendary Alpha Lucas of Moonhaven suddenly appeared in my life.
He is powerful and enigmatic, a figure that all werewolves hold in awe.
Yet, he shows an extraordinary persistence and tenderness towards me.
Is Lucas's appearance a gift from fate, or the start of another conspiracy?
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
The mafia princess return
Accidentally Crossing the Tycoon
Four years ago, the Bailey family faced a devastating financial crisis.
Just when bankruptcy seemed inevitable, a mysterious benefactor emerged, offering salvation with one condition: a contract marriage.
Rumors swirled about this enigmatic man—whispers claimed he was hideously ugly and too ashamed to show his face, possibly harboring dark, twisted obsessions.
Without hesitation, the Baileys sacrificed me to protect their precious biological daughter, forcing me to take her place as a pawn in this cold, calculated arrangement.
Luckily, in those four years, the mysterious husband never asked to meet in person.
Now, in the final year of our arrangement, the husband I've never met is demanding we meet face to face.
But disaster struck the night before my return—drunk and disoriented, I stumbled into the wrong hotel room and ended up sleeping with the legendary financial mogul, Caspar Thornton.
What the hell am I supposed to do now?
The Biker's Fate
I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."
Danielle Harris is the daughter of an overprotective police chief and has led a sheltered life. As a kindergarten teacher, she's as far removed from the world of Harleys and bikers as you could get, but when she's rescued by the sexy and dangerous Austin Carver, her life is changed forever.
