Silas and his witch
Sashalouise Prior · Ongoing · 82.8k Words
Introduction
I just didn’t expect it to begin with him. Prince Silas Bancroft ripped me from my bed and killed my mother for my father’s crime. He claimed me as his property and dragged me beneath the streets of Paris, into a city where witches exist to serve and survive in silence. I learned quickly how to obey. How not to tremble when he came too close. Until my magic awakened—and I did the impossible. When I entered Silas’s mind, I felt his hunger, his control… and something dangerously intimate beneath it. The bond makes him powerful.
I was born his slave. But now, I’m the one inside his head.
Chapter 1
“Mom help me, please help me!” I screamed as the masked men ripped me from my bed, the carpet burning my skin as they dragged me across the floor.
I kicked and screamed, throwing my weight in the opposite direction to where they were dragging me, trying to throw them off balance. Nothing worked. It was like a fly trying to fight off a lion.
I weighed next to nothing to them.
“Luna... I'm sorry.” Whispered my mother as she sobbed into a piece of tattered tissue.
Why is she crying? Crying wouldn’t help either of us.
She needed to do something!
The two men lifted me from the ground, the larger one throwing me over his shoulder, his green eyes piercing through me, even in the dark; the only light coming from a small lamp I had in the corner.
I was afraid of the dark, bad things lurk in the dark.
Terrible things.
My heart raced within my chest, sweat forming along my back, I was unable to contain the fear that I felt. Unable to think straight or come up with a plan.
I had no idea what was happening to me, I had no idea what they wanted.
Why didn’t my mother stop them? She was letting them drag me away, she was letting them take me away from her. From my life.
I thrashed my entire body against the stranger, hitting him as hard as I could in hopes that he would let go, that he would allow me to get to my mother one last time, I needed to ask her myself what was going on.
I need to do something, anything.
The guys grip only tightened as I attacked him with my legs and arms, yet even still, he said nothing when he walked out of the bedroom. Ripping me from the freedom we had thought so hard to obtain.
I was leaving my mother who still stood in the corner, blocked by a dark figure wearing a suit, and although I couldn’t get a better look, I knew he was one of them.
He had come to take me away. But I couldn’t hear what he was saying, I couldn’t here anything over my own petrified screams.
Was this the end for me? Had the dark ones figured out what I was?
I tried to calm down, to watch my breathing and listen, but the bulky man forced me from the room before I could make out what the other man was saying.
It was useless. I couldn’t stop the screams tearing from my throat.
I was certain I heard him laugh, but I couldn’t be sure as blue eyes began the decent down into the living room, my head aching as all the blood rushed there.
I wish I could find the courage to fight back, I wish I was stronger.
But I was too afraid to protest. I allowed the man to shift my weight on his shoulder, his grip tightening on me when I tried to move.
I was useless. Weak. Terrified.
Deep down I knew that I would be unable to overpower such a man, his strength more than I could ever obtain, even with the vast power I had.
But it wasn’t enough, it would never be enough.
A vampire was a creature that a witch must bow to, we have no rights when in the presence of these creatures, they owned us. They owned the air I breathe.
My own feelings were pointless in their company, they didn’t care how I felt, how my mother felt; they only cared about what they could obtain from us, and now it seemed that the prize was me.
But why? Why were they taking me from my mother? What had I done?
I was so careful to follow the rules, I never showed my ability to anyone, not a soul. So how? How did they know what I was?
Tears slipped from my eyes and dripped onto the wooden floor as the creature placed me onto my feet by the front door, my entire frame trembling in horror, I knew that I couldn’t escape. I could try, I could run from the house barefoot screaming for the neighbours to come to my aid, but it wouldn’t help me. Not now.
The neighbours wouldn’t leave their homes, not for me, not for my mother. They would only see the bikes outside, and the limo with blacked out windows, that would be all that they needed to know. That would tell them that interfering would mean death. For everyone.
The bulky vampire with green eyes scowled down at me, his tone dark and stern. “Calm yourself witch, he will not be pleased if you run.”
I take a long, shuddering breath, attempting to do as he commanded, but my body disagreed, fighting against my wishes; the shaking becoming more violent.
I couldn’t calm the erratic beating of my heart; I couldn’t find enough breath to stop myself from desperately gasping for more. My body knew what was coming, and I was powerless to fight it.
It was all over for me now.
This night would surely be my last.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
