Introduction
She was supposed to be a leverage chip. Instead, she became his obsession.
Hannah thought she was just building a career as a corporate accountant. She had no idea she was cleaning dirty money for the deadly North-East Rogue Syndicate—until federal agents knocked on her door. Trapped between testifying and keeping her medical-resident sister safe, Hannah becomes a target. Before she can run, rogue wolves drag her into the dark underworld and put her up for bid at a secret black-market auction.
When the bids soar into the millions, Gabriel Terry steps in.
As the ruthless Alpha of his pack, Gabriel only attended the auction to gather intel. But seeing Hannah stand bloody-lipped and defiant on stage, refusing to bow to monsters, triggers something primitive inside him. He drops two million dollars to secure her, tearing her away from rival Alphas who would have broken her for sport.
Now, Hannah is trapped in Gabriel’s high-tech penthouse estate. To buy her safety and protect her sister, she agrees to use her financial skills to hunt down an embezzler hiding inside Gabriel’s own pack hierarchy. But navigating pack politics, lethal family dinners, and predatory wolves is nothing compared to the danger posed by Gabriel himself.
Gabriel claims he’s keeping her alive out of duty. Hannah knows she’s just a captive with a reprieve. Yet, in the quiet dark of the estate, as boundaries blur between protector and master, both must confront the dangerous truth:
In a world where caring gets you killed, getting attached to the Alpha might be the most lethal risk of all.
Chapter 1
Hannah’s POV
Staring at the document in front of me, my hands shook so badly that I could barely hold the pen.
Three years. I’d worked at Dawson Consulting for three years, believing I was building a legitimate corporate accounting career, and it had all been a lie.
I’d made their dirty money look clean without even knowing what I was doing.
"We can protect you," Agent Leo said gently. "But we need everything you know about the ledger transactions. Names, dates, secret bank accounts. All of it."
"I've given you everything," my voice came out hoarse. I’d been talking for six hours straight. "I swear, I didn't know. I thought they were just international cross-border businesses. The paperwork all looked legitimate."
"We believe you," Agent Torres added, leaning back. "The North-East Rogue Syndicate is good at what they do."
The Rogue Syndicate. A syndicate operated by dangerous rogue wolves and mobsters. I’d been laundering money for rogue enforcers while sending every spare dollar to my younger sister, Mary, for her medical expenses.
Mary. Oh Moon Goddess, Mary.
"My sister," I said suddenly, panic rising in my chest. "She doesn't know anything about this. She’s a medical resident at Mount Sinai. She has nothing to do with any of this."
"We know." Agent Leo pushed a box of tissues toward me. "We'll make sure she's safe under human and pack neutral protection. You testify, and you both get new identities, relocation—the whole package."
New identities. New lives. Running forever from powerful predators I was never meant to cross.
"What if I don't testify?"
Agent Torres leaned forward, his amber eyes glinting dangerously. "Then you're on your own, Hannah. And Brandon’s pack doesn't forget. They especially don't forget humans who talk to federal agents."
"You think they'll see it that way? You're in their system," Torres continued. "You know their money flows. What do you think happens next if you walk out of here without our protection?"
I knew. People who crossed rogue Alphas didn't live long, happy lives.
"Okay," I whispered, my heart hammering. "Okay. I'll testify. Whatever you need."
Agent Leo smiled, relieved. "Good. That's good, Hannah. We're going to take care of you. I promise."
They let me go home that night with instructions to pack a small bag. They were supposed to contact Mary and arrange protection details within two or three days.
I called Mary anyway. I had to hear her voice.
"Hannah?" she answered on the second ring, sounding exhausted. "Is everything okay? You never call this late."
"Everything's fine." The lie tasted foreign in my mouth. "I just wanted to hear your voice. Tell you I love you."
"You're scaring me. What's wrong?"
"I have to go away for a while. For work. But I'll call you when I can, okay?"
"Go away where? Hannah—"
"I love you. Remember that. No matter what happens, I love you."
I hung up before she could ask more questions.
I was still sitting on the edge of my bed at three in the morning when my apartment door exploded inward.
Three massive men in dark tactical gear burst in, moving with terrifying speed and inhuman agility. Before I could even scream or make it five steps, huge, claw-like hands pinned me to the floor.
"Please!" I begged as zip ties bit painfully into my wrists behind my back. "Please, I didn't do anything!"
One of them chuckled, his breath smelling of coppery blood. "You talked to the feds, little girl. That's enough."
His accent was thick, unmistakably Eastern European rogue wolf.
"Alpha Brandon wants to see you," another hissed. "Be a good girl, and maybe you'll stay alive a little longer."
A sharp prick stung my neck. My vision blurred almost instantly. The last thing I saw before darkness swallowed me was my phone on the floor, Mary's contact photo glowing up at me from the screen.
I woke up to the worst headache of my life.
I was bound to a cold metal chair in a damp, concrete warehouse. My hands were zip-tied tight enough to cut off circulation. Standing in front of me was a towering, broad-shouldered man who could only be Brandon Brown—a feared Rogue Alpha.
He was massive, his skin covered in dark pack tattoos, his eyes the coldest ice-blue I had ever seen.
"Miss Carlos. Do you know why you are here?"
I tried to speak, but my throat felt like sand. He nodded to one of his enforcers, who held a bottle of water to my lips.
"I didn't tell them anything useful!" I gasped out, water dripping down my chin. "Just basic transaction information they could get from bank records anyway!"
"You spoke to them," Brandon said simply, his voice devoid of emotion. "That makes you a liability."
"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
"Sorry does not fix a breach of security." He stepped closer, towering over my small frame. "Usually, liabilities are eliminated. Quick and clean. But you present a unique situation. There is a private black-market auction in two days. Very exclusive. Very profitable. I will recoup my losses from the federal investigation, and you will serve as an example."
"Auction? What kind of auction?"
Brandon’s lip curled into a sinister smile. "The kind where you are high-value merchandise, Miss Carlos."
"You're going to sell me?"
"It is a practical business decision. The feds cannot find a body if there is no body. You simply disappear into an Alpha’s private collection."
I couldn't breathe. Terror squeezed my lungs.
"Please," I whispered, tears filling my eyes. "Please don't do this. I have a sister. She needs me."
"Sister is safe. For now." The implicit threat hung heavy in the air. "You behave at the auction; maybe she stays safe. You cause problems, maybe she has an 'accident.' Understand?"
I nodded slowly, paralyzed with fear.
For two days, I was kept in a dark cell, fed bare rations, and forced to shower under heavy guard supervision before being dressed in a sleek, silk gown. I was being prepared like a prize animal for display.
"Time to go," a guard growled, grabbing my upper arm tightly. "Remember your sister."
They led me into a massive, dim hall packed with wealthy, dominant figures—corrupt Alpha royals, rogue syndicate lords, and shadowy billionaires. A brightly lit stage stood at the front.
When my turn came, the guard shoved me violently onto the stage. The blinding spotlights seared my eyes.
"Item number twelve!" the auctioneer boomed through the microphone. "Twenty-eight years old, brilliant accountant, untainted bloodline. Highly educated, no drugs, no disease. Starting bid: fifty thousand dollars!"
The auctioneer grabbed my shoulder, trying to force me to my knees to show submission to the crowd.
No.
I gritted my teeth. They were going to sell me, but I refused to bow to these monsters.
I slammed my elbow backward into his ribs, staying firmly on my feet.
PUNCH.
The auctioneer’s heavy fist struck my cheek, snapping my head back. The coppery taste of blood filled my mouth. My knees buckled under the force, but I forced myself back up, glaring through the glare of the lights.
"Defiant," the auctioneer laughed into the mic, turning my rebellion into a selling point. "A feisty one!"
"Fifty thousand," a deep voice called out from the shadows.
"Seventy-five," another countered.
Bids flew across the room like wildfire.
"Five hundred thousand."
"Six hundred thousand."
"Two million dollars."
The entire room went dead silent. The voice that uttered the final sum was different—deeper, dangerously calm, and vibrating with an unmistakable, terrifying Alpha aura that made every beast in the room hold its breath.
"Two million dollars going once..." The auctioneer paused, scanning the dark VIP booth. "Sold to Bidder Number Seven!"
Rough hands dragged me off the stage and into a back hallway.
A tall man stepped out from the shadows. Broad-shouldered, wearing a bespoke black suit, dark hair, crisp lines, and striking, storm-gray eyes that burned with absolute dominance.
He stepped toward me, pulled a blade from his jacket, and casually sliced through my wrist restraints with a flick of his wrist.
"Can you walk?" he asked softly, his tone strangely devoid of cruelty.
I nodded, trembling, unable to trust my voice.
"Then come with me."
A sleek black SUV waited in the rain outside. He held the door open. "Get in."
I climbed inside because running from an Alpha of his stature was suicide. The heavy door clicked shut behind us, isolating us from the world.
"My name is Gabriel Terry," he said calmly as the SUV pulled away from the dark warehouse. "You're safe now."
I almost choked on a bitter laugh. Safe? "What are you going to do with me?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper.
Gabriel looked at me with those unreadable, storm-tinted eyes. "Honestly? I have no idea."

My Billionaire Husband's Secret
He was the CEO of the Blackwood Group — a man whose wealth and power eclipsed ninety-nine percent of the world.
He was gentle. Romantic. Attentive. I fell for him fast.
But a year into our marriage, I began to notice something — a pattern.
Lucas's sexual appetite was intense — he wanted me almost every night. Yet every single month, he arranged a solo trip to send me away. I told myself it was his way of spoiling me.
Then a message arrived from someone called Sweet An.
Do you really know your husband?
From that day on, my life filled with shadows.
I suspected my husband of having an affair.
When Lucas and I made love, something felt wrong — his body too large, too much, like something I couldn't explain.
I heard sounds during sex — animal sounds, like something feral had crawled into bed with us.
My best friend Mia said: "There are men sick enough to let dogs fuck their wives."
The family doctor, Daisy, told me: "You could never stay by Lucas's side forever. Your background doesn't make you worthy of being his wife. Do you understand?"
I went looking for whoever had been tearing my marriage apart. I fought to win my husband back.
But the deeper I searched, the larger the secret grew — something far darker hiding beneath this supposed betrayal.
Does Lucas truly love me?
And why, out of everyone in the world, did he choose to marry me?

My mate began watching me.
Protecting me.
Holding me whenever I fell.
Looking at me like he was terrified of losing me.
If he hated me...
Why did he keep risking everything for me?
And why did everyone panic the moment I finally chose another future?

And Kellan Stroud does not forgive what he believes belongs to him.
The road out of Sturgis may cost them everything first.

The crowd gasped as Lex pulled me into a more intimate position, his hands roaming over my body in a seductive manner.
The experience was both terrifying and magical, allowing me to feel every longing emotion through the dance.
I soon found myself lost in his arms.
When the music finally stopped, my arms were wrapped around his neck, his hands resting on my back, our noses almost touching. He gazed deeply into my eyes.
The ballroom fell silent.
