Tale of Moonlight

"No smashing ground here!"

"You don't belong here!"

"Poor!"

"Cheap!"

"Tsss, poor kids are a trend here now."

Those are the words I hear as I walk today with the head admiral and the head admin of this School, I just ignore the words I hear because when I listen to them I know my mood will be affected. I don’t want to break my Mood just because of what they say.

​I am Moon, a woman living at the bottom of this academy.

This academy is located at the top of the mountain and the people who live below are the poor or "slap soil" as the rich call it. And yes, I am one of the poor  called by the rich. Poor are forbidden in this school, It is full of rich and strong creatures here. But I am one of the lucky creatures who was given the opportunity to study at this school.

Yesterday was the anniversary of this school and yesterday also took place the picking of the name of the lucky creature who can enter this school for free. And I was one of the two names picked yesterday.

You have a great opportunity to study inside the Moonligt Academy, because the MoonLight academy is said to be the largest, and most famous school in our world.

Rain is my friend who studies here at MoonLight Academy. she is the reason why I went to this school. She listed my name in the raffle so I entered and i was lucky, I was picked.

​I am not like others, I am not a strong creature with possessed strong power. My only ability is to read minds.

​For the rich and powerful creature, that is the very low type of ability in our world. I'm not surprised because they are the strong ones.

​We turned into a hallway and I could still see the evil stares of the students who were here. A large gold door greeted us which in turn was opened by the Head Admin. From the gold and precious things, a creature sitting in front of the Head Admiral’s Table caught my eye.

​

He bowed his head and looked down. His arms were crossed and he seemed to be thinking. I didn’t want to know what he was thinking but suddenly I found out I had read his mind. He didn't seem to want to be here at Moonlight Academy.

​

"Ms. Moon, wait for those with you." Said the Head admiral, causing me to look at the man sitting in the corner. I just stared at him and smiled but he looked away as if he was surprised when I smiled so much.

​

We barely glanced at the door of the admin office as we heard a knock from outside. Suddenly it opened  and spat out a man the same age as us, wearing glasses and messy messy gray hair. He has blue eyes and his holding a book.

​

“Is this the Admiral’s Office?” He asked and looked at me.

​

"Here you are, come in." Said Head Admin and smiled. And who is he? I lost my attention to the man who had just arrived when the man sitting on the side suddenly walked out of the office, I looked at the expression on the faces of the admin and admiral but it seemed like none of them did care to  that man.

​

"Ms. Moon, he's Cloud Vrolex, you were among the raffle winners yesterday." Head Admin said that's why I should look at the man in front of me now. I thought the man here earlier was the one who won with me.

​

"I know you're nervous about who you're going to be with but I can only say one thing, don't be nervous, they're kind." Smiling said Head Admin.

​

"Except for one." Head Admiral added so I was even more nervous. I just smiled at them.

​

"While they haven't talked yet let's talk first." Said Head Admiral and sat down next to Head Admin.

​I sat on the sofa with the MoonLight Academy logo on it and the man sat on the chair in front of me, where the man who came out was sitting earlier.

​

"Cloud, what can you say and you are the lucky one to draw in our Raffle?" Head asked us. I looked at Cloud who was just Cool.

​"Nothing beacuse i know that i was born to be lucky." Cloud said then smiled slowly at Admin. The two just laughed and turned their attention to me.

​"As for you Ms. Moon, what can you say and  you are one of the luckiest woman given an oppurtunity to be here?" Head Admiral asked me. I just smiled then replied.

​

"I still can't believe it, because of the dynamic number of names that are there, I am one of the lucky ones who was picked and given the opportunity to study here at Moonlight Academy." I said and smiled.

​"You are very humble in your answer." Cloud said that's why I looked at him. I just smiled at him then took a deep breath.

​“By the way, I wanted to introduce you to the Owner of Moonlight Academy. "said head Admin and a picture of two people appeared in his palms.

​"This is Mr. Light Steler and Mrs. Luna Steler. They are the owners of this school." He said and suddenly the picture changed in his hands. Portrait of a man. This is the man I saw earlier sitting where Cloud is sitting on.

​

"He's Zero Steler. He's the son of Mr and Mrs Steler." Said the Head Admiral. So he is the son of the owner of this school. That's why he seemed unfamiliar before. and it seems that the Head admin and admiral didn't care about Zero's departure earlier.

​

"They're here." Said the Head admin so those in my mind were aroused and looked at the door of their office Head Admin. Cloud and I stood up as Moonlight students entered.

Are they the ones Cloud and I will be with? Suddenly my tongue twitched when I saw those with us.

"Guys, she's Moon and this is Cloud the winner in RFE." Said the Head admiral, They just had no reaction except for the one I knew and the man next to her. I swallowed because a woman with red hair  looked at me from head to toe. I was suddenly embarrassed because she seemed to be scanning my soul. Is she a walking scanner? I want to read what's on their minds but I don't want to be offended by what they say in their minds.

"Introduce yourselves one by one." Head Admin orders only incoming students.

"Star Castrophie, 18 years old and I'm a Star gazer. It means I command all the stars in the galaxy and I can move the planets." he introduced, I suddenly diminished in his ability. I turned my gaze to the woman who was examining me earlier.

"Red Fyez, 17 years old I'm a Blaze User. I can be a fire woman if I want to and fly if I want to, but right now I want to burn the person in front of me." Suddenly I was swallowed up by what she said. Because I'm the person she says is in front of her.

"Shadow Levin 17 years old, I'm a Night keeper. I can be a shadow and I control the darkness." Shadow introduced himself, He still smiling at me so I smiled back. He is so humble.

"Ice Oxiexy 17 years old, I'm a Frozen burg. I can control the ice."She introduce herself.

"And I am Rain Asmiran, your one and only friend, you already know my ability, don't you?" He asked then looked at Cloud with no reaction on his face. "Exept you." She said then took a deep breath. "I'm a Water elementalist and I can imitate all the animals that live in water and so I can also call the rain." Rain said while looking at Cloud.

"How about you Ms. Moon?" Head admin asked while looking at me. Suddenly I became nervous because those with us had only strong powers.

"I'll be the first." Cloud said and turned to face those with us.

"Cloud Vrolex, 18 Years old. I'm a Sevran so I can command whatever is in heaven." He said that's why they all looked at me. It turns out that Cloud is also strong because as he said, he is a Sevran. They are the kind of creature that ranks second among the rich here in our world.

"Moon Laureen Venumous, 18 years old. I can read everything in your minds." I introduce myself, Red's eyebrow arched causing me to be nervous.

"Done?" Red asked. I looked at those with us who were also looking at me.

"I-I'm a Levite." I said and bowed, a long silence enveloping us all until Red spoke.

"Are you sure this is what you pulled on our group?" Red's voice knows Head admiral and head admin.

"One ability and a Levite, are you kidding?" Red asked and laughed. "You probably don't want to embarrass Moonlight on the day of the fight, she might die right from the start of the fight." Sh  e added. Against?

"I'm sorry, but it doesn't mean that I have only one ability and that I'm the one to causes us to beat." I replied so Red looked at me badly. What are they saying to lose? Are those activities?

"I'm not talking to you." She says.

"But I'm the one you're talking about." I replied, I saw the irritation on her face even more so I bowed down, I didn't want to fight because I knew I wasn't powerful like them. But it's not right to underestimate me.

"Don't answer the conversation." She told me and put fire out of her hand so I swallowed. Why did I answer.

"Hey Red, fix your behavior, Admiral and Admin are in front of you. Maybe you want to be plastic?" Rain asked and glared at Red. Obviously, they can't get along.

"Don't let it rain here."  said Red.

"Don't be rude Red either." Rain returns to Red.

"That's enough, don't wait for me to put you two in detention." Admiral said shaking his head.

The fire disappeared from Red's hands and Rain looked bad.

"Because you will go to the facility in the other building. That was done for the participants in the competition, all the things you will use are already there. The boys 'room will be separate from the girls' room." Said Head Admin, that's why I looked at him.

" What's the competition?" I asked, Star looked at me.

"MLA? You don't know that?" Star asked me, I shook my head.

"I forgot to explain, Since you and Cloud were picked to RFE, you and Cloud were also chosen to be  Red's ally in the MLA, The MoonLight Association." Head Admiral said so I looked at Cloud who was obviously surprised by what Head Admiral said, I was also surprised because I thought I was just pulled out to study Free in Moonlight. I don’t expect them to have an MLA yet. Just like a Surprise Test?

I wanted to ask but the Admiral spoke so I just kept quiet.

"Later after your class, you go to the facility, automatically excuse your lessons and classes and just announce there at the facility if there is a party or whatever." Said Head admin and smiled.

"You may go to your rooms." Said the Head admiral. We went out of the office of their admiral and head admin, Rain suddenly stood beside me and put her arm around me.

"Nice to see you again Prenny, what's your first class?" Rain asked, I looked at the scheadule that Head Admin had given me when I just arrived.

"The only thing on my schedule is history then next break." I said and showed her.

"Oh, you'll be with us at the same time, we'll go there." Star whispered to my left. "I'm sorry for what Red did, you know she's always have menstruation so be patient." Star said I laughed and nodded.

"I hear it, you're talking about me." Red said and stopped in front of us.

"Hey, stop choking us." Said Rain.

"You're the one to shut up Rain." She said then looked at me.

"If they're not mad at you, Well me, i'm mad. I'll make sure you talk to the Head Admiral yourself to leave Moonlight in case you don't belong here." She says.

"And do you think you're belong here?" Cloud whispered behind me. that's why Red looked at him.

"You, another one." Red said while looking at Cloud.

"Don't expect us to get along" Red said while turning away.

I just watched Red walk away from us with Ice as we stood here.

"Let go of that lame one." Shadow said from my side.

"Let's go." Rain said so we started walking again, as we walked I turned my attention to the opposite building, from where I was standing I saw Zero looking to me, I waved at him and smiled but he just turned around and walked away.

"Hey Moon, who are you waving at?" Rain asked and looked at what I was looking at.

"Let's go, we're gonna late to our first class." She added and pulled me away.
