Taming The Beast In Him
Emily Anderson · Completed · 101.1k Words
Introduction
When I reached the location where I saw a man in silhouette, correctly he was looking like a beast, with long claws, and furs around his skin. It was the raging Beast that people have talked about for years now, I took a deep breath, as my body trembled in fear.
I attempted to run, but my feet felt so weak to even think of doing that, that's when I felt my hand being roughly pulled, and I was able to see his face, even more, his golden hue eyes were looking right at me.
Roseline was brought up from a small town, she was molested in the pack because, her mother died while giving birth to her.
For that she was given to the alpha beast, people expected her dead, but not knowing she would receive protection from the alpha beast himself.
Chapter 1
Roseline POV
My fist clenched, and hot tears managed to pave their way down my cheeks, I stared intently at my father, he was about to land another punch on my face.
"Please... please stop" I pleaded, I don't want to experience another excruciating pain.
He smirked, while his fist stopped mid-air. He then released his clenched fist as he spat in disgust.
"Whenever I set my eyes on you, it rills me up with nothing but hate. I love my mate..." He pursed while stretching his lips to a thin line.
"My mate is gone while giving birth to a loser like you".
"But it's not my fault", I retort back in anger. He clenched his hand in a tight fist while groaning in dissatisfaction at my remark.
"Don't you dare say another word, because the moment, you do that, I'll kill you, and this time I mean it" he spat in disgust. before he stomped out of the room, leaving me in tears.
I felt so weak to take my feeble and weak body to my room because I have not eaten for days now.
My body was weak, I felt pain in my jaw, and I had to check my jaw using a mirror to verify if there was no evident gag. I felt so much pain. While remembering what had happened to me, hot tears streamed down my cheeks.
I walked towards the kitchen before I poured myself a cup of burning liquor.
I took a gulp, I grimaced when it burned down my throat, this was the first time I'm taking liquor, but I desperately want to forget about everything, I then took steady strides towards the door. I heard my father talking to someone else, which managed to bring cold shivers down my spine especially when I heard my name being mentioned, my heart skipped a bit, and after taking a few breaths to recuperate myself, I peeked through the door to hear what my father was saying.
" I'm fed up with her, she sickens me, I have to give her..." He pursed before he took a sip of the strong whiskey.
" To who?" The beta of the pack asked impatiently, I noticed the way he also gulped down the burning whiskey in one go. My father stared at the beta with all seriousness.
" To the alpha Beast, In the evil cave of the dead"
"What!! are you planning to kill your daughter?" He asked with a hint of dissatisfaction on his face.
" I don't care, Ray, can't you see I don't give a damn if she lives or dies..." He took a deep breath before he continued, " anyway, right from birth I have already disowned her as my daughter " he said.
When I heard those words, I closed my eyes, while consoling myself, telling myself that my father was joking and he never really meant it.
"I know she might think that I hate her, but it's for the better" he concluded.
Those words made me stagger back, I felt my heart speed, my fist clenched, and I took a deep breath, before heading straight to my room. I started pacing back and forth while thinking of ways to be out of this mess, now I know my father has finally lost it, I know no man in their right state of mind would ever think of doing such.
I then hopped on the bed and immediately cuddled myself in the blanket, while feeling nothing but immense pain, I shut my eyes close, in hopes to forget about everything, but his words kept on echoing making me even more frustrated than I already was, I just can't believe that my father was doing this to me. My eyes blurred with unshed tears, I can't voice out my pain, because no one cares, even the pack dog won't even bother helping me, so I can't possibly run to anyone for help.
Now the only option left for me is to run, I have thought about it, for a while, knowing the turmoil I have experienced in this pack, but I never bothered to execute it, because the thought of being a rogue wolf doesn't sound fitting to me.
But this time, it's better to be a rogue than to be offered to the raging alpha beast, which legend had said that he had allied with the devil himself, that's what I heard, but I'm not sure myself. that's why he can't transform into his human self again, which is very odd.
I drew in a deep deep breath then I walked towards the window, I'm scared when I noticed the height, but I have to do this, I attempted to jump through the window, but rather the voice of my father stopped me short, cold shivers ran down my spine.
" Stop right there young lady, where did you think you were going to?" He asked, his voice laced with anger. I attempted to keep a calm expression, I then gently turned to look at him, he frowned at me, his fist was tightly clenched.
I thought he might pull my hair, or beat me up like the way he does whenever I commit an offense, but rather none of those transpired.
I started walking back, but not until I felt my arm being roughly pulled closer to his, I attempted not to think about the consequences of my actions, so before he could say a word.
I found myself struggling to be out of his grip, because the lingering thoughts of being taken to the alpha Beast, were even worse than death.
" Father, please let go of me please, I don't want to be taken to the alpha beast" I begged desperately, but he was not buying it, it was more like, he has already made up his mind of having me killed brutally.
" Please dad, don't do this, remember I'm your daughter please let go of me, I promise I'll try to be a good girl " I was pleading with the little strength left in me.
"And you think I care" he grunted, still dragging me, he was very strong, if I must admit, how could I possibly forget that he's the Alpha of the pack?
While I was being dragged, I noticed my stepbrother Joe, he had sometimes acted nice, but not all the time, a smile sprawled on my lips, hoping he'll be my rescuer.
"What are you doing to her father, you know very well she's your daughter," he said, clearly dissatisfied, I was glad that for once someone was standing up for me. Because almost everyone in the community was staring at me, some had a sad expression, while some had a dissatisfied expression, but others were having sinister smiles but none bothered to help me out of my predicament, no one cared where I was taken to.
Before I could say a word, I was immediately shoved inside the car, then my father started the engine.
I noticed that many other cars were following behind my father, making me realize that almost all of them had a hand in this. I prayed fervently, hoping the goddess to hear my pleas and bring me out of the situation, I don't even know where to run to.
The car finally came to a stop, and before I was roughly pulled out of the car, to the open space of the Forest, the place was calm and the scenery was breathtaking, but something captured my attention, it was the dark cave that was right in front of us, just by looking at him, I know that lurking predators were in the cave, I started struggling in hopes to escape, but their grip was predatory and deep within me, I was a torn soul, that needs to be recuperated.
That's when I noticed the presence of Beau, the old sage who had lived for years, he has a very verse and wide knowledge of things in both the physical and spiritual eye. My father will always go to him, seeking advice.
"We have come here today to experience our annual celebration, which is to give the alpha beast a maiden to ravaged once again," he said, he sprawled a sinister smile on his face then he flipped pages of an old book. He stopped on a particular page before he started citing unknown words.
The huge rock that served as a door towards the cave, was magically pulled to the right, I opened my eyes wide In shock.
I was then shoved inside the cave, cold shivers ran down my spine, when I perceived the rusty and disgusting smell of decayed mammals, oblivious to whether it was human or animals, I heard the creepy sounds of tiny insects, the cave was dark and eerie, and my heart was beating erratically against its rib cage, I gulped hard while encouraging myself that I'll be fine, even though I know that I'm just lying to myself, I was there for more than three minutes, yet there were no movement or grunts.
"Hello is anyone there" my voice echoed, throughout the walls of the cave. Not until I heard the voice I feared and dreaded.
" Come closer" I heard a blaring voice of the alpha beast himself.

Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Peace lasts exactly one lullaby. This is the story of an orphan pup who became a goddess by choosing her family; of four imperfect alphas learning how to be better. Steamy, fierce, and full of heart, Goddess of the Underworld is a reverse harem, found-family paranormal romance where love writes the rules and keeps three realms from falling apart.
A pack of their own
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
Invisible To Her Bully
Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?
