Introduction

Trigger Warning: This book is a dark Werewolf/Human sensual romance with high explicit sexual content.

As a nursing student, Aria, a half hybrid werewolf, had always played by the rules until the people she trusted most tore her apart.

First, her cousin sister who she was entangled with. Then her own boyfriend who she caught fucking the same cousin.

Heart shattered and pride bruised, she swore she’d never be anyone’s fool again.

But when Dr. Damien, the devastatingly handsome billionaire gynecologist who also happens to be her lecturer gazes at, in an attempt to explore every inch of her body.

Aria realizes there are far more dangerous things than heartbreak…

Like wanting a man she shouldn’t.

And letting him touch her in ways that leave her breathless in class and sleepless at night.

Dr. Damien Sinclair, a brilliant, yet cold gynecologist on the other hand, has spent 500 years on earth, haunted by the night his black demon wolf slipped loose and slaughtered a family in his brother’s pack.

Since then, he has lived in exile, believing only his fated mate could tame the monster within.

But when he found his human mate Ginny and married her, he realised she could only soothe his beast but not tame it.

Until Arie, one of his posted students and nurse.

Now his demon wolf wants her and he would do anything to make her his.

What began as reckless self-redemption is becoming an obsession.

And neither of them is certain they want it to end

Chapter 1

Aria’s Pov

My life never seemed perfect, but in its own little way, it always felt complete. This was especially true when I caught Maeve, my cousin staring at me so warmly, or when we locked ourselves in our room, her lips on mine, her hands performing a magic no one else could. Even my boyfriend, Nick, couldn’t compete, despite how much I loved him. I adored them both; they made me feel more whole than I ever had since tragedy struck at fourteen.

Maeve made it her duty to ensure I was okay. She would whisper into my ears before we slept, holding me close to share her warmth under the sheets. She was beautiful, and it was beautiful whenever she stared at me or made me laugh. We would even dance naked in the bathroom during the rain, where she would whisper to me how beautiful I was.

Things changed a bit when Nick walked into my life, as I began to spend more time with him than with Maeve, but we were okay. His gray eyes had held me spellbound that night. I didn’t know what to say or how to react, but when he said, “I love your dress,” I couldn’t help the color that rushed to my cheeks. We talked all night, and I snuck out to meet him. It was pure bliss being with him. Maeve loved him, too. “If he makes you happy, then I like him,” she had said, and I had never felt so complete in my entire life.

“You’re leaving early today,” my course mate, Jen, said, pulling me out of my thoughts as we walked out of the demonstration room together. “It’s not like you to skip a study session.”

I smiled shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. “Today is an important day for me.” It was our anniversary, the same day as my birthday. I couldn’t help the throb of happiness in my chest.

“You’re blushing,” she teased as I giggled.

“I guess the stress we went through today isn’t for someone like you.”

“At least I have something to look forward to after such a stressful day,” I replied as we walked down the hallway toward our classroom.

I may have needed a bed, a pillow, and ten hours of sleep. My head hurt from the lectures, and my back ached from standing during practicals, but the thought of seeing Nick and celebrating with him and Maeve had kept me going all day.

A text from Maeve pulled me out of my thoughts. “Where are you?” it read. “Don’t tell me you’re forgetting what today is?!” I quickly waved Jen off and took off. I can imagine Maeve being at home, waiting for me. That will stress her out.

I hurried out and hailed a taxi. The ride home was a blur of anticipation. Inside the house, everything was quiet. My aunt wasn’t around, and Maeve’s door seemed to be locked. I didn’t worry much about it; I was more concerned with keeping Nick from waiting too long. He hadn’t called all day, a detail that should have registered as weird, but the thought that he might be with Maeve already made me dismiss it.

“Time to dress up!” I said to myself after a refreshing bath that left me smelling like fresh air. I coated my skin with cream and oil, then finished with a spritz of body mist. Maeve had helped me pick out a satin, cream-colored dress. It was sleeveless, with a bare back that hugged my skin perfectly. The color was just right to accentuate my complexion.

I stared at my reflection, filled with pride. “Maeve and Nick will be so stunned when they see me,” I whispered. I put on my earrings and necklaces, applied a little gloss and makeup, and sprayed Louis Vuitton perfume on my neck and hands. As I looked at myself in the mirror, I knew I was gorgeous.

I grabbed my phone and texted Maeve, but she didn’t reply. “What is she doing? Where is she?” I dialed her number, not out of worry, but to find out where to meet her so we could head out together to surprise Nick. She didn’t pick up, which was unlike her. Maeve’s calls were always her first priority.

“Strange,” I whispered, lifting my tiny designer purse with a Labubu strapped to the side. My heels clicked on the floor as I walked out, my eyes fixed on my phone, waiting for a reply.

As I passed Maeve’s door, I decided to text Nick. I dialed his number and heard a phone ringing from inside Maeve’s room. I froze, my eyes darting toward the door. It wasn’t locked. She’d sometimes leave it open when she headed out.

“Don’t tell me they’re planning something grand without me right now,” I giggled, opening the door wider. “Nick...” I started to say, but the words died in my throat.

The scene that met my eyes was a nightmare. Maeve had Nick bent over on the couch. She was half-naked, plunging her length into his anus. The smell of sweat filled the air, and Maeve was gripping his hair as his mouth hung open, making loud, guttural sounds.

“Fuck me harder, Maeve! I love this! I love the way you fuck me!” he moaned.

My legs wobbled as my world tilted on its axis. Maeve’s eyes were the first to meet mine. They widened in a brief flicker of surprise before a slow, knowing grin spread across her face. My hands had already curled into fists, my nails digging into my palms. She pressed Nick’s butt closer to her, and with a brazen slap to his rear, she held my gaze.

“Fuck, Maeve, you know I like it when you do that!” Nick groaned, rubbing his own chest. His eyes were closed, lost in his own pleasure.

“Oh, Aria...” Maeve groaned in a mocking tone.

I was frozen, a spectator in my own horror show. The sight was more than terrifying, but I had lost all sound, all feeling. I didn’t even realize my mouth was hanging open until Maeve’s grin widened into a full-blown smirk.

“Want a threesome?” she asked.

On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...

Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.

Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"

"I'm afraid that's impossible."

Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."
