Chapter 1
"Jessica? come on girl, get ready, I promise, the party today is going to be cool, everyone is going to be there," Michelle calls put pumping on the bed close to her best friend of forever.
Jessica groans, lifting her bright head filled with blonde strains of hair. She has it locked in a pony tail above her head and relaxes her shoulder purely.
Her bright blue eyes burn into her friend's own. The party is one hosted every year by a club and Jessica has being adamant on not attending, a lot of shit might go wrong.
"Michelle," she stares at the her friend, starting to shake her head in denial.
She isn't given a chance to, her friend holds her hands and squeeze them in hers.
"We wouldn't get drunk, and the moment it goes wrong, you can leave," she begs sweetly.
Jessica can't tell her friend no, she is too sweet to. Sighing, she watched her jump on her body giving her a bear hug.
"We are leaving in ten minutes, best, make sure you are stunning.
She sighs, running along.
The club is booming with music, and Jessica has just got the right amount of alcohol into her system, she isn't too tipsy, but enough to make her lost her balance.
She dances, shaking herself against her red haired friend.
The auction is about to start and her blood is thumping. This club is sick, the reputation is high on letting girls for a night, showing them off like they are some kind of prize a man has to purchase, what Jessie is ignorant of is the fact that this could be her.
A line of five girls are arranged with their hands handcuffed behind their backs, they are smiling, or are expected to. At this time, the music had slowed down a little.
All of a sudden, Jessie feels a hood over her head and everything goes black.
Harold Blackwood knew his mate was in the club the moment he walked into it. Her glassy hair that fell across her shoulder was going to make him go mad. He thinks playing with her wouldn't do any harm, he will like her already.
Whatever the girls are doing up there doesn't concern him, he owns the club, and he protects the lady as long as they are careful.
The men can have them for the weekend, but with his mate, he wants a forever with her.
He sits back in his black long suit, the air around him ragged, this is why he loves New York, it is always this beautiful when it has to do with his deals.
His hands twirl around the whiskey glass as he nods, letting the game begin. He had ordered his mate to be kidnapped and auctioned for the weekend, what she doesn't know is, no man is buying her, only him of course, she belongs to him.
The sound of speakers make him look forward, the moderator getting to do his work.
"Fifty dollars? is anyone ready to pay more for Hannah? no, Okay, sold to Mr. Davenport!" Oliver Miles shouts out for everyone to hear.
Paige's cries tears out of her throat, but the fact that she has a duct tape around her mouth makes her tremble, she fears for her safety, for her life.
"No," she cries out.
This should be a misunderstanding. One second she is at the dance floor, and now, she is going to be auctioned? she didn't even want to come to this useless party, if it is a prank, she wants the night to end so that she can run home.
She hears Oliver's annoying voice over the speaker again.
"All of our best girls are sold out for the long weekend, but we have a special treasure beside this black veil, she is the night's star, who ever is the highest bidder gets to keep the angel," he says.
Jessie is confused about what is going on. After she had being kidnapped, her kidnappers hadn't taken her far, she knew she is still in the club, but the psychos wouldn't let her explain that she isn't part of a dumb plan auction.
She fears that Michelle will get worried of chasing her, and might leave without her.
All of a sudden, the hood from her head is taken aware and she is met with a pair of surprised gazes.
"Paige Remington! what the fuck are you doing up there? get down here quickly, girl," Michelle calls out in an unimpressed fashion.
The moment Jessica hears her friend's voice, she starts crying, knowing that help is on the way.
She screams behind the duct tape, but her voice gets ruffled because of how weak they are.
She is crying and talking at the same time, but the duct is blocking it in a good way.
"You... get out now," a security officer places his hands on her friends and starts pulling her away, until she is out of the club.
Jessica watches her last hope of being saved burning to ashes. She didn't want to be here tonight, she had been happy watching movies in her house until Michelle showed up. She doesn't want to play this game, it isn't a cool one.
"Let the bidding begin for the gem of the night," Oliver mutters out.
"One hundred thousand dollars," someone screams out from within the crowd.
"Two hundred," another mother-fucker yelled.
Jessie's heart throbs heavily across her stomach. The handcuffs are secured tightly behind her back, it makes her cry harder as it b
bit into her flesh.
The prize keeps going on, two men fighting to keep her on their side, when a deep baritone cuts in through the air, stealing the air in Jessie's throat.
"ONE MILLION DOLLARS," the voice calls out from the back, with an air of confidence around him.
Jessica gasps as she squints her eyes to see him clearly, her contact lenses struggling to see him well.
"Fuck! the man is a beast," her mind growls out.
