Introduction
This is Sammy Louie, a legendary Arms dealer.
In the bustling city, Louie suddenly finds that dealing with the seductive and alluring beauties is far more dangerous than facing the horrors of the battlefield. A slight misstep in this glamorous world could lead to a complete loss.
Originally aspiring to be a carefree hunter in the flower-filled wilderness, Louie, instead becomes the prey. Witness Louie as he navigates through a city teeming with beautiful women, portraying an exceptionally sensual urban lifestyle.
Chapter 1
Approaching another intersection, Sammy Louie encountered the third red light within a short ten-minute drive—a streak of misfortune. He inwardly cursed his luck, regretting not leaving for work earlier, considering the congested traffic in Sradarc.
Glancing at his watch, it was already quarter past eight. Even if he rushed to the Infinity Group headquarters now, he would be late. Louie couldn't help but find it amusing; on his first day of work, he wondered if he was setting a record for tardiness at Infinity Group.
His "superior" might not appreciate the "backdoor" newcomer, but little did anyone know that behind this mild and refined face, Louie had earned gratitude and deep fear from high-ranking military officers and armed organizations on various battlefields.
Daydreaming about the pleasant life of a working professional, Louie suddenly heard a loud "boom." His body jerked forward, narrowly escaping injury thanks to the seatbelt. Louie felt a surge of frustration, wondering if his brand-new Chevrolet, purchased just the day before, was destined for misfortune on its very first day.
Urgently exiting the car and inspecting the rear, Louie's eyebrows knitted as he saw the white Chevrolet's rear end crumpled from the collision.
Feeling a wave of misfortune, Louie, who had only been in Sradarc for less than a week, had purchased the Chevrolet just two days ago, planning to drive it to work today, only to have it wrecked by someone else. As he simmered with frustration, the driver of the Mercedes that collided with his car stepped out and immediately rebuked him, "Can't you drive properly?"
Looking up, Louie saw that the driver was a young woman, around twenty-five or twenty-six. She wore a knee-length white skirt and had long, flowing hair. Her fair and delicate skin appeared almost translucent, and her flawless face showed a touch of anger as she fixed her almond-shaped eyes on Louie.
"Eighty points. If your chest were a bit bigger, it would be ninety." Despite Louie being a seasoned individual, he couldn't help but be captivated by the girl's stunning figure. However, Louie was feeling frustrated. She had clearly collided with his car, yet she accused him.
"Miss, please check carefully. My car was parked here without moving, and you crashed into it. Just because you have long legs doesn't mean you can falsely accuse me. Let me tell you, I'm a man with a firm will, and I won't be seduced by your beauty."
No man had ever spoken to Isabella Thoreau in such a way. Upon hearing this, Isabella turned to Louie, anger flaring. "You called me 'Miss.'"
"No, I was just addressing you. Of course, if you're willing to accept that title, I don't mind being your guest, Miss. How much for a night?" Louie intentionally squinted his eyes, lecherously scanning Isabella's ample bosom.
Isabella's face turned red and then purple. Clenching her fists tightly, her bosom heaved up and down. "You rogue! Just wait. I'm calling the police."
Just at that moment, a police car approached. The police car pulled over, and a beautiful policewoman jumped out.
Seeing her friend Oprah Kathleen, Isabella's excited expression changed. Oprah was her good friend, and with her here, Isabella felt she had a backbone. Coldly huffing, she said, "This rogue harassed me."
Hearing this, Oprah turned to Louie, her captivating eyes sweeping over him. A hint of disdain curled her lips. Patting Isabella on the shoulder, she said, "I'll handle this."
Approaching Louie, Oprah lifted her right leg and stepped onto the hood of his car, striking a provocative pose. "Good-looking guy, how should we deal with this? Apologize to this beautiful lady or come to the police station with me?"
Louie chuckled, casting an appreciative look at Kathleen's curvaceous figure. "Miss Officer, I don't understand what you're saying. Of course, if you want to hit on me, I might consider it. How about tonight, we get a room together?"
Upon hearing Louie's audacious tease, Oprah didn't get angry. Instead, she laughed. Her tempting fragrance wafted into Louie's nose as she leaned toward his face.
"Sure, no problem. But first, you need to apologize to this beautiful lady. Then, accompany me to the police station, admit to committing harassment, and after that, we can consider your proposal."
"Harassment? Officer, are you sure you're not mistaken? It's your friend who crashed into my car, and she even insulted me. If we need to make a statement, it should be her. Besides, I have something important today; it's my first day of work. Being late is not ideal. How about we settle this privately? As long as she apologizes and compensates me twenty thousand, we can resolve this matter. As for our affair, I'll think about it when I have time. Although you're a beautiful woman, I'm naturally not interested in women who come on too strong." Louie lightly pushed Kathleen's leg off the hood of his car, his lips curled into a smirk. "Nice figure, but your butt's a bit small. I suggest you do more exercise; you might develop it."
"Kid, you're playing with me." Despite Kathleen's confidence in her beauty, she couldn't bear Louie's mockery. The comment about her being small was simply absurd. Kathleen took pride in her legs and beautiful curvy backside, which made her the object of desire for many officers at the police station. Utilizing her charms during investigations, she found that suspects couldn't resist confessing. However, encountering someone as savvy as Louie was unexpected. Not only did her usual tactics fail, but she also endured his taunts.
Kathleen sneered, "You're quite the sly one." She then inspected the white Chevrolet and remarked, "I'm currently working on a car theft case, and the owner reported a stolen white Chevrolet. Your suspicion is high, even if you're not a car thief, you could be involved in selling stolen goods. I need to investigate this. Ken, Jimmy, both of you, get out of the car. Take this suspected criminal back to the police station."
"Officer, you're intentionally messing with me. I can't believe a pretty policewoman like you would falsely accuse someone. But, I'm a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate with the police. However, I have a suggestion." Louie glanced at Kathleen's bosom again, grinning, "Next time you wear a white outfit, don't choose a black bra."
"Hmph, suit yourself." Kathleen retorted, though secretly contemplating that if her dad found out about such attire, he would scold her.
"Name." Kathleen, holding a pen, began recording.
Louie sat across from Kathleen, while Isabella sat not far away, sipping her coffee. Louie, however, had no such luxury; there wasn't even a glass of water on his table. When asked for his name, Louie honestly replied, "Louie."
"Age."
"Thirty-one."
"Gender." Kathleen, engrossed in questioning, didn't look up.
"Different from yours."
Upon hearing Louie's response, Kathleen finally looked up. Irritated, she snapped, "Answer the questions properly. If you don't cooperate, I'll detain you for twenty-four hours before questioning you again."
Louie chuckled, reclining and crossing his legs, "Detain me for twenty-four hours? On what grounds? Oh, I remember, your friend crashed into my car, and now you're settling a personal grudge."
"Hmph, I suspect you're a car thief. Based on that, I can detain you for twenty-four hours," Kathleen replied.
"Evidence, on what basis are you detaining and falsely accusing me of being a car thief? My car was legally purchased, with all proper documentation. You're spreading rumors about car theft without any evidence; I could file a complaint against you." Louie raised his eyebrows, deliberately provoking, "No wonder you have a big chest."
"You..." Kathleen was choked by Louie's words, her face turning red. She realized this sarcastic remark questioned her intelligence. Though irritated, she turned aside and angrily asked, "Ken, did you find this guy's file?"
"Found it, found it." Ken hastily responded. Kathleen was displaying an unusual attitude today, and it was an eye-opener for him. Kathleen leaned in, scanning the computer screen with her captivating eyes.
Louie chuckled to himself, knowing that most of his file was fabricated. Even if Kathleen checked, she wouldn't find any conclusive results.
As expected, Kathleen soon returned to her seat, glaring into Louie's eyes. In a stern tone, she asked, "Louie, why did you return from London, and tell me, what did you do abroad for six years?"
"Returning to serve my homeland. Is there anything wrong with contributing to the motherland as an 'overseas returnee'? As for what I did abroad for six years, do you even need to ask? Worked to earn money."
Kathleen, feeling like she wouldn't get any results by continuing this line of questioning, just wanted to vent her frustration and find a small excuse to make things difficult for Louie. However, Louie seemed immune to her tactics. Frustrated, she asked, "You were doing well in London. Why come to Sradarc?"
"I said, returning to serve my homeland. No matter how well I did abroad, I should return to my country. I miss my homeland a lot."
Hearing Louie's response, Kathleen burst into laughter. "You serving the motherland? Spare me. But it's good you're back; at least you won't embarrass yourself abroad."
Louie waved his hand, seemingly indifferent. Kathleen, who had just lightened up a bit, was irritated again by Louie's nonchalant attitude. She couldn't understand why she found this guy so detestable. She slammed the table, annoyed, "Sit properly, don't cross your legs. I'm not done yet."
"Officer, please hurry up with your questions. Today is my first day at work, and I don't want to spend the whole day in the police station." Louie glanced at his watch, "It's already ten-thirty; I'm two and a half hours late."
"Work? Hmph, if you don't give a clear account, you won't be going to work." Kathleen decided to continue pressing Louie. She picked up the tea cup on the table, took a sip, and slowly asked, "Where do you work, and what's your position?"
"InfinityGroup." Louie noticed Kathleen's intention to prevent him from going to work, and since he didn't really care about the job, he decided to play along. "I'm the head of the marketing department. Of course, today is my first day, and I haven't even seen the company. How about this, Officer, could you give me a ride to work?"
Hearing "InfinityGroup," Isabella, who had been silent, frowned. She knew about InfinityGroup, a well-known company in Sradarc engaged in the production and sale of mechanical products, with its core product being engines. She couldn't understand why InfinityGroup would hire a rogue as the head of the marketing department. Isabella silently calculated that she should talk to her father about reducing orders from InfinityGroup.
While Kathleen was about to continue the questioning, the phone rang. Kathleen answered and soon had an excited gleam on her face. After hanging up, she stood up and shouted to the others, "We've located the hideout of those car thieves. The captain wants us to rush over."
"Wait, what about me?" Just as Kathleen was preparing to leave, Louie couldn't help but ask, "Are you planning to make me sit here all day?"
"Hmph, I'm in a good mood today, so I'll let you go. But our business isn't finished; be prepared, I might come looking for you at any time."
"Unlucky, today is truly a day of bad luck." Louie stood up, massaging his slightly sore buttocks, stretching lazily, and with a cheeky smile, he said to Isabella, who was about to leave the police station, "Beauty, it's quite late. How about we have lunch and then find a place to talk about life?"
"You scoundrel." Isabella glared at Louie, turned around, and walked out.

I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
The Family Sacrifice
I simply said one word: "Okay."
My parents and Gilbert were stunned. They rushed to have me sign the voluntary donation form, afraid I’d change my mind.
Some days later, they sent me to the operating room.
Dad said, "Yvonne will finally be saved. We're so proud of you."
Mom said, "After the surgery, we'll make it up to you."
Gilbert looked tenderly at Yvonne and said, "When you're better, where should we travel?"
What they didn't know was that the day I agreed, I'd just received my diagnosis, stage four cancer. Three months to live.
As I lay on the cold operating table, as the anesthesia began to take effect, I only wanted to know one thing:
If I die on this operating table, will they regret it?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
