Introduction
I look up at him, to beg, to pour my bleeding heart out, to say the last words that are left of me.
"Adam, if I sign these papers…" I breathe out.
"If you let me walk out of here like this, I'll never be back in your life again. We'll never have those moments…" I couldn't finish my words.
He married her for revenge. He wanted to destroy her family. But Adam Hilton never planned to fall in love with Hermione — the woman he swore to use and ruin.
To free her from the cruel plan he made against her father, he served her divorce papers while she was still in prison. When she was finally released, she found him in bed with another woman. Broken and humiliated, Hermione signed the papers and vanished.
Then Adam discovered the truth — she wasn't the real daughter of the man he wanted to destroy.
Now, guilt consumes him. For eight long months, he searches for her, vowing to make things right.
When he finally finds her, Hermione swears she'll never forgive him.
But Adam has made a new vow to never let her go again.
PS: He has reckless ways of begging — as wild and consuming as his love for her.
Chapter 1
HERMIONE
"God… I've missed you, Hermione," Adam says, his mouth warm against my neck as he runs soft kisses down my throat.
His breath is heavy, I can feel the desperation in it. Like he's been longing for me as badly as I have been for him.
Two years, and this man… he still makes me burn like no one else ever has.
"I just… I just can't get enough of your soft lips," he moans deep into my mouth as his lips seize mine firmly.
Before I can speak, he suddenly lifts me up. I gasp as he pins me against the kitchen fridge. My back arches from the cold shock, but my legs wrap around him on their own, as if my body already knows who it belongs to.
"Oh my God, Adam," I scream, half moaning, half laughing. "You do this anywhere."
He pulls back just enough to look at me, his fire-brown eyes locking onto mine, burning with more than just lust.
"What?" he smirks. "I can't lust after my own wife?"
Before I can answer, he pushes deep into me. My lips part with a sharp cry as he fills every inch of me, stretching me in ways I've missed for so long.
"Mmmhhh," I moan, biting my lip as the fridge shakes with every thrust.
His rough breath brushes my ear, "Two fucking years away from you, Hermione," he whispers, "it almost drove me insane."
I throw my head back, getting lost in the pleasure, the sweetness.
"I think about you, every night."
I laugh breathlessly, my head falling back. "Say that again?"
"Every fucking night, baby!"
"And now? I'm gonna lock you inside for a whole year, making you scream my name every day, just like you used to. Never letting you go."
"You're crazy," I moan.
"Yea I'm crazy. Only for you Hermione," Adam growls, his thrusts growing deeper and harder.
My climax builds too fast, too soon. The hunger has built up for so long.
My grip on his loose collar tightens as my body shudders against the fridge. "Adam!" I cry out, shaking, falling apart under him.
"Yes, baby?" his voice is rough and urgent.
"I think… I think I'm gonna ha—"
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
My eyes fly open and I jolt awake, only to catch the prison guard outside my cell, glaring at me, no idea how long she's been there.
I quickly push myself off the thin foam. It's almost damp with sweat sticking to my skin.
That ugly realization that I'm still in prison, it hit me with a sharp pain in my chest.
"Oh God." I whisper, feeling embarrassed.
"I'm wet dreaming about Adam again. In a damn prison."
I shut my eyes for a second, resting my head on my palm.
My body is still warm from the arousal, aching with that heat I can't control. My breath is still running a marathon, recovering from it all.
My mind's been going crazy longing for him, especially since I'm getting released in less than 48 hours.
"What are you gonna do about that?" the guard asks.
I look up, her eyes aren't on my face. She's staring in-between my legs.
I follow her gaze and look down.
"Oh Noo…" I exclaim, my left hand slapping to my mouth as I lift my orange prison jumpsuit and realize I've soaked myself with wetness. It's too glaringly obvious in the orange suit.
"Whyyyyy?" I cry softly, shame choking me.
The guard smirks. "You should invite us to one of your sessions. Your Adam…must be really good, you can't shut up about him." She says, her voice dripping with mockery.
I try to cover the spot but it's useless, "You won't understand," I whisper.
Because nobody would ever understand what I have with Adam.
I can't stop thinking about him, not even during the day. And even at night, the second I close my eyes to sleep, he is there. Touching me in ways my body can't resist.
I can't wait to be in his arms again. My crazy husband. My forever.
Any lady would be addicted to Adam. How could I ever forget?
After nights of giving me body-shaking orgasms, I'll wake up and find him in the kitchen, cooking me breakfast, holding me like I'm the most delicate thing on earth.
My heart, my body, my soul, just can't wait any longer to jump into his arms.
Just two days left and it's starting to feel like two years.
The cell lock clicks, and the guard pushes the door open, walking inside my space.
Her navy blue uniform is well ironed as usual, black pants and black boots all well polished.
"If he's that good," she says, "why didn't he save you from coming here in the first place?"
"Oh, he did." My voice is firm. "He hired the best lawyer. My years went down from five to just two. Thanks to Adam."
"But…jail is unavoidable when the person you have a big misunderstanding with is a top lawyer too."
The guard steps closer. "Well… your Adam." she says, dragging out his name dramatically.
My heart flips at the way she calls him.
She goes ahead to drop a brown file on my lap. "He brought this," she says.
My eyes shot up immediately, "Adam was here?"
I look at the file she dropped, my fingers hesitate a little as I pick it up.
"Adam said he needs them signed before evening," the guard adds.
My heart thuds. The harshness in her voice is unsettling.
Adam… he has never spoken to me like that, not even when he is passing a message through someone else.
My chest is tight and my breath is shaky, I don't know what the content of the file is about.
I slowly unclip it, dragging the papers out. And right at the top of the first page, the word DIVORCE glares at me.
My heart caves in. Cold spreads through my whole body instantly.
"Divorce? What does that mean?" My voice comes out so low I barely even hear myself.
"Well, seems you won't be screaming his name anytime soon," she mocks.
I hold the papers up, my fingers trembling, and I look at the guard.
"Is… is this a joke? Is he trying to prank me?"
The guard doesn't answer. She only adjusts her black cap.
"Well, look at it. Does it look like a prank to you? You don't obtain official divorce papers from the court, just for the sake of a childish prank."
My head shakes. I laugh a little, but it's shaky and bitter.
"This has to be a joke, ma."
"Adam… my husband will never do this, he—" My throat closes up. My stomach burns with anxiety, churning so hard I feel like I could vomit inside my cell.
"He can't just give me divorce papers. It's only two days until my release."
I look up at her face, desperate for some kind of softness, an explanation, anything. But she slowly shakes her head, her expression reads nothing but unbothered.
"Take your time, ma'am. But be sure to sign the papers before evening. That's what he demanded."
The guard leaves, she locks the cell behind her, and settles back in her corner.
I jump off the bed, panic settling deep in my heart.
"Please! I need to see Adam!" I yell. A tear slips down my cheek before I can stop it.
My eyes are seriously burning with more tears, but I'm struggling to hold them back.
I rush to the rail, but as I move, something else slips out of the brown file and lands on the floor. A picture and a white envelope.
My heart races as I desperately pick them up.
"No…" I shake my head as the tears finally fall freely.
The picture makes my whole body freeze. Adam…my Adam is holding another woman.
His eyes fixed on her, lost in her, like she's the only person for him.
"No…" My voice breaks. "Adam can never do this to me."
My chest pounds as I tear open the white envelope. Inside it, I find a note with words written by him. I don't mistake his handwriting.
"I don't have the time to drag this dead marriage any longer, Hermione, and I won't be home when you're back. I got a very important trip. That's why I need the divorce papers signed today. Leave them with the police when you're done, I'll pick them up myself. You can pick your belongings from the visitors' room as soon as you get home."
"Don't make this harder than it already is. It's really over."
I shake my head. My legs feel too weak to hold me.
The walls of my cell feel like they're closing in on me, my lungs suddenly can't take enough air. I need to get out. I need to see him.
I run and grab the cold, metal bars again, shaking it with all the strength I have left.
"Please! I need to see him! It's really urgent!"
"I need to fucking see him!" I yell, my voice breaking apart with pain. My heart feels like it's being ripped into pieces, over and over. My eyes are already breaking out with hot tears.
The officer stands and walks toward my cell.
"Please… My husband will never leave me such a file. He's all I've ever had in my life. He's the best human being I've ever known." I explain to her.
"That's none of our business, ma'am," the officer replies coldly. "We're here to follow orders, not your emotions." She turns her back, walking away.
"Get me out of here!" I cry out, shaking the rails harder. My tiny hands ache but I don't stop.
"I need to see my husband! He can't just leave me here! He can't just leave me like this!"
"Just let me out!" I scream again, my voice ragged.
"Don't ruin our property, ma'am!" the guard yells back, shooting up from her chair.
Her loud voice made my heart jump so hard it almost escaped my chest.
"Get yourself together! You'll see him in two days!"

On Christmas Eve, I aborted the CEO's child
On Christmas Eve night, my husband brought his mistress home and demanded that I, his pregnant wife, leave with nothing.
On this day, I lost my husband and also lost the child in my womb...
I Loved You in Silence, You Betrayed Me in French
At my birthday party, my husband whispered to his mistress in French that he missed her. His voice was low, but I heard it all—the black lingerie, the bit about how pregnancy makes you more sensitive. His French clients around us were laughing. He turned and put his arm around me, claiming he was just helping his clients come up with sweet nothings.
He doesn't know I understand every single word. Just like he doesn't know that inside my body, I'm carrying his other surprise. And his mistress—she's pregnant too. Two wombs, one secret.
Confrontation would be too cheap. Tears are worthless. I quietly started cataloging the hidden networks my father left behind, activating the Swiss accounts.
In seven days, Zoey Smith will cease to exist. And what will my husband's reaction be?
He Never Loved Me, Until I Left
I put away the divorce agreement with a wry smile.
When he and my son completely disappeared, he finally panicked.
Three months later .
He knelt down on the streets of Chicago in despair, begging me to remarry him.
My six-year-old son looked coldly at his biological father and said, "Get lost, you bad uncle! You don't deserve to be my dad!"
When I Disappeared, He Regretted It
The moment the screen lit up, my entire world came crashing down.
The woman on the bed was Calista - that girl who grew up with us since we were kids. And that hand caressing her skin was wearing the wedding ring I had personally put on Matteo's finger.
"I've missed you so much..."
"You drive me crazy, baby..."
Those sweet words I knew so well completely destroyed me.
Everyone said we were the perfect couple, but who knew this marriage was built on nothing but lies?
Since he's so good at acting, I guess it's time I gave him a show of my own. I'm going to make sure everyone sees what this "perfect husband" really is...
He Thought I'd Never Leave
When he said he was being bullied, I believed him. When he kissed me on that rooftop, I thought he felt the same. When he asked me to transfer schools with him, I said yes without hesitation.
Then I heard him bragging to his friends: "She'd save her first time for me. Hell, she'd still be thinking of me on her wedding night."
The bullying was staged. The kiss meant nothing. He just wanted me gone—so his new girl could feel more comfortable.
He thought I'd beg. He thought I'd cry. He thought I'd never actually leave.
I left the country.
And ran straight into his stepbrother.
I Died While They Threw Her a Party
Their real daughter came home. She'd only been back two years. That's all it took to erase twenty-four.
When kidnappers grabbed us, I used my body as a shield. They beat me until something inside me ruptured. I was dying from internal bleeding, but no one could tell.
My parents wouldn't even look at me. "This is your fault! None of this would've happened if it weren't for you!"
"Get downstairs and apologize to your sister. If you can't, pack your things and get out."
They threw her a party at a downtown hotel while I died alone in my room.
I thought they'd be relieved. Maybe even glad. I thought they'd just move on like I never existed.
But when they finally learned the truth, they fell apart.
Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.

I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.

He turns—and runs.
