Chapter 1
"Good morning Sir, and welcome," everyone greater Scott in unison, but being the kind of man who did not like courtesy, his first reaction was to scale through the crowd of employees to find if everything was okay, and when he looked around, he found out that, one of the personnel was still seated down whereas the other was standing so with a loud tone, he called her out,
"You sitting down, stand up right now."
Listening to that, the lady got taken over by panic and when she stood up, Scott looked at her thoroughly as though he wanted to eat her up with his gaze. His dark brown eyes looked frightening while his countenance was nothing like that of a man who ever smiled at all, and listening to him call her out and asking why she was still seated, the employee trembled out of fear and not finding the right words to say, Scott pressed on his killer look on her which only made her sweat some more though the office was well ventilated and in her lack of response, Scott walked from where he was standing to where she was and with a powerful peek, his lips moved together at the same as they released the works,
"You are fired." Saying that he turned to his assistant and instructed him to call on the security officers to escort the lady out of the building if she delays moving her things and herself out of his company in the next few seconds which starts now. And after saying that, he turned to the rest of the staff to make one thing clear and make sure that he got their attention, he mumbled,
"And this should sink deep down into your ears, if anyone of you thinks that I am like my late dad, then that person should better start packing his or her things now because I am nothing like your previous boss. Under my reign you all have to be in alignment with my terms and conditions if not the door is wide open for anyone who wants to leave, is that clear?"
"Yes Boss," they all screamed out at the same time with shaky voices after what they had been through. Scott was glad to know that his empowerment was having a quick impact on his new employees and with a great feeling of fulfillment, he walked out of there with a broad smile on his face leaving his personnel in chaos with each one of them being scared for their lives.
Walking into his offices, his gaze immediately fell on his father's seat which was behind a large dark table with two chairs in front of it. On the table, were some files which had been deposited and the banner has a boldly written word on it "CEO" and that gave him a nostalgic feeling which took him back to the fight he had with his father some days back over his flirtatious attitude and the fact that he did not want to take responsibility for his actions.
Thinking back to it, his eyes had turned red with tears but being a man, he decided to act strong in order not break at least not in the office. Walking to the other side of the office, he looked pale from seeing all of his fathers' achievements In a frame and letting out a thin smile slip through his lips, Scott muttered alone,
"I wonder if I can become half the man that you were daddy." Those words were so touching to him, and in an attempt to connect back to the last moments that his father had spent in that office, he went through each item and article with his mind thinking back to each memory every one of them holds.
Lost in his thoughts, he was interrupted by a knock on the door which made him come back to himself as he used the back of his right hand to wipe off the tears that had accumulated in his eyes, and when he had achieved that, he turned his gaze to face who it was and there are was, a beautiful and sexy blonde lady with long hairs tied up in a bun and a gorgeous face sitting over a pair of beautifully articulated shoulders.
Her clean pair of legs was heavenly while she looked like she was just from an oven which had given her an extra finesse. Scott being a womanizer, could not help but notice her as she walked into his office with some files in her hands and directed herself to his table to drop them off.
"Good morning Mr. Carter and welcome into the company. It is a pleasure to have you here with us," the lady spoke out and from the sound of her voice, Scott gulped the saliva that had cropped up inside his throat making swallowing to be difficult.
"Thank you beautiful damsel in black," he said after regaining himself and screening her from head to toe.
"The pleasure is all mine. I am Evelyn Davison, the manager in Carter's company," Evelyn mumbled stretching her hand towards Scott with an angelic smile that he could not resist but to accept and want to do a formal introduction of himself, Evelyn hushed him and with a soft tone, she told him that she knew who he was.
The moment was pleasing to Scott but it had fo be spoiled when Melissa Koker his secretary made her way into his office with a slate of tea on it and a panting countenance probably due to what she had witnessed some moments ago. Catching sight of her, Evelyn quickly took back her hand so as not to seem cheap or mistaken for flirting with her new boss but Melissa had already seen it.
"I will take my leave now Mr. Carter, see you around," she said looking all uncomfortable and before Scott could say anything further, Evelyn had already walked out of the office looking all scared for her life.
"Good morning Sir Carter," she said with her hands placing the slate on the table and the mug of coffee but Carter, looking all angry with the interruption, he told her to take the coffee away and Melissa looking all confused, she looked at him in total confusion as she had no idea why he was in such a bad mood all of a sudden.

George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."

Alpha Twins' Mate's broken Human
A Lesson in Magic
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The Forbidden Throb
Mine changed in the time it took to open a door.
Behind it: my fiancé Nicholas with another woman.
Three months until our wedding. Three seconds to watch it all burn.
I should have run. Should have screamed. Should have done anything except stand there like a fool.
Instead, I heard the devil himself whisper in my ear:
"If you're willing, I could marry you."
Daniel. The brother I was warned about. The one who made Nicholas look like a choir boy.
He leaned against the wall, watching my world implode.
My pulse thundered. "What?"
"You heard me." His eyes burned into mine. "Marry me, Emma."
But as I stared into those magnetic eyes, I realized something terrifying:
I wanted to say yes to him.
Game on.
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
