Introduction
“Pyramus, you have been a thorn in my side for far too long. I will end your life the same way I killed your beloved Leonora.” The countess rubbed her palms together.
College friends Brinley and Joy face chaos, sadness, and death as they uncover hidden realms full of different beings vying to kill them. After killing a demon and freeing a ghost the women were thrush in the middle of a battle for all the realms. After a deadly encounter, Joy is on her deathbed.
Finding a cure for Joy is more important to Brinley than finding out exactly who or what she is. Under pressure, Brinley must learn to use her powers before the darkness claims everything including her very soul.
Will Brinley and Joy stand together at the end of the world?
Chapter 1
Chapter One
Brinley paced her room. Her mind flooded with ways to complete her thesis, but with Gamma throwing a big campus party, she was torn. Her eyes went to the desk full of crumpled papers and half-chewed pencils. “How am I supposed to work?”
Brinley tore her eyes away from her non-existent project to look out the window. Her project was due soon, and she had barely started. “I work better under pressure.” She reminded herself, rubbing her hands up and down on her forearms.
Joy bounced into Brinley’s bedroom. Joy was the happiest person on the face of the planet. No matter what, Joy always had a friendly smile on her face. “Why are you talking to yourself? I bet you want to go over to the Gamma party.”
Brinley stuck out her tongue. “I’m good. I don’t need half-naked drunk men and big-breasted chicks spilling drinks on me to have a good time.”
“Yea, but it sure helps a lot.” Joy laughed, jostling her big breasts.
Brinley glanced out the window again. Her brown eyes focused on the grand English manor on top of the hill overlooking the town of Pleasant Peaks.
“Checking out Armstrong Manor again?” Joy asked, stepping into the room.
“Yeah. I’m doing on thesis on the paranormal, and I have a paragraph.”
“Why don’t you have a study session with that cutie Mike Jones?”
Brinley tried to hide the smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
“I appreciate your work ethic, I really do, but you need to have some time for yourself.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Brinley pulled her attention away from the manor. “So, what would you suggest, huh?”
“I suggest you get really cute and invite Mike over for a little study session.”
“Let’s hope it’s not that little.” Brinley’s sexual statement had both women erupting in a fit of giggles.
Joy ran her fingers through her long blonde hair. “I mean, think about it, once we’re out of college, we must behave, but since we’re still in college, we need to have as much sex as possible. And why not get some with Mike? He’s a cutie. I mean, he can be annoying. I see the way you eye him, so go for it. Maybe after some relief, you can start your paper.” Joy nudged Brinley. “It’s not like you have to marry him.”
Mike was very handsome, a bit of a twit, but she spent much of her class imagining him between her chocolate thighs. It was true Mike Jones thought he was God’s gift to women. With his thick sandy blonde hair and stunning blue eyes, Mike was the total package, except he has the brain of a circus flea.
“You’re thinking about him right now, huh?” Joy stuck out her tongue.
Brinley exhaled.
Joy looked over Brinley’s shoulder to glance out the window at the manor. “It’s spooky.” Joy shivered. “Do you really think it’s really haunted?”
Brinley shrugged. “If spirits were to exist, I expect it would be in a creepy manor like that. Mike thinks once you’re dead, you’re dead, and I don’t see how that is acceptable.”
Joy shivered. “It looks haunted for sure. I heard about the light some people see on the second floor.”
“And don’t forget about the haunting piano music that rises from the mist.”
“Is it true that the Armstrong’s were a part of the first major settlers from England to come to this town?”
“As far of the research I’ve uncovered says the rumor is true. Lord William and Lady Maggie Armstrong migrated from Yorkshire, England, and built their old Tudor house on the hill with rolling greens as far as the eye could see.”
“You ever wonder why they built it up there on the hill. It’s so lonely and creepy.” Joy turned from the window.
“I wish I could’ve been there?”
“For what? To witness that man, kill his wife.”
“No, to find out the truth about what happened that night. I don’t think he did it.”
“Oh yeah, right if you were there, he’d chop you up too. Didn’t they find his wife’s intestines on the ceiling fan?”
Brinley remembered reading the article about the couple’s weird dealings in town. “Yes, they found someone guts, but how do we know it is his wife. There was no DNA back then they don’t know for sure.”
“Sounds spooky to me. I think I would die if I ever saw a ghost.”
“I would love to know if there is something living among us. Wouldn’t you want to know?”
Joy wrapped her arms around her bent knees and waited. “Tell me the entire story.”
Brinley relished in telling this old tale. She smacked her lips, then climbed on the bed across from her friend. “The townspeople said the couple was quite odd, even from the beginning. They never appeared in town and had all their food and supplies delivered to the front of their giant iron gates.
“Why do you think they did that?”
“Hush. I thought you wanted to hear this story.” Brinley scoffed.
“Okay, okay, good ahead.”
“The townspeople said the Armstrong’s manor loomed over the town. Rumors were the couple would stare down at the town in the valley below. The couple were only present for a year when the strange noises echoed through the night. Then women started to disappear. It didn’t take the townspeople long to suspect the Armstrong’s, but no one confronted them.”
“Why?”
Brinley shrugged. “Fear kept people away. Even when screams of torture and death drifted on the hill. News spread quickly about the couple and the manor.”
Joy shivered. “Even talking about it gives me the willies.”
“It must have been scary for the women in town. Trying to stay alive over a hundred years ago, women were never safe.”
“We’re barely safe now over a hundred years later.” Joy rubbed her hands up and down her arms.
“Back in the day, they had big iron gates with initials W.G.A. craved on the front. The gates surrounded the house like a prison. One blistering winter night in October, William G. Armstrong showed up in town covered in blood. When Sheriff Rickman calmed him down and took him back up to the manor, the only words William uttered were, “There’s so much blood.”
Brinley closed her eyes, visualizing the manor in its entire splendor. They littered the luscious grounds with blooming fruit trees. Her mouth watered over the delicious meals prepared in an enormous kitchen. She shook the delusions from her head.
“Yeah, Brinley, it sounds very haunted. We should drive up there one night to see the lights for ourselves.” Joy joked, leaving her friend’s room.
Brinley’s eyes cascaded down to her desk. Newspaper clippings littered the desk and floor. “What a prominent topic to write about, Brinley.” She mocked herself. “I have nothing but a scribbled paragraph.”
Again, her eyes glanced out the window. “Stop it, Brinley,” she whispered. Brinley picked up a yellow faded newspaper clipping and read it aloud. “They arrested William Armstrong for the brutal murder of his wife Maggie May Armstrong. William has denied killing his wife. Upon entering the manor, Sheriff, Rickman reported blood covered the walls. Sheriff had to photograph the dripping remains from the ceiling fan, which he did after rushing out the front door to vomit.”
Brinley pulled a jet-black tendril away from her face to stare at the old police picture. Nothing in her worse visions of horror could prepare her stomach for the gruesome photo. Red blood coated the white walls. Crimson droplets ran down the walls as if in a race to see which one could hit the ground first. From the ceiling fan hung was what looked like Maggie’s intestines.
Brinley pushed the photo away. She pressed the back of her hand against her mouth hoping to keep her snack down.
Her ringing phone made her jump back in her chair so hard, it tipped backward. Brinley hit her head on the floor with a thud. “Ouch,” she rubbed the back of her head and rolled on her right side to grab the phone. “Hello?”
“Are you sleeping already? It’s not even midnight yet.” Mike said.
Brinley licked her lips, thinking about Mike lying naked next to her.
“You know I’ve been thinking maybe you should come over.” She slapped the top of her head. “We can chill.”
“I guess I could come over. Where’s Joy?”
“Don’t worry, Mike. I’m alone.”
“Not for long, baby. I’ll see you in a few.”
“Okay, great. See you soon.” Brinley hung up the phone. Brinley hurried through the house, picking things as she went through.
“What to wear?” Brinley shuffled through her drawer to pull out a sexy over-sized shirt and a pair of tight shorts. She fluffed out her hair with her fingers. With a final spritz of perfume, Brinley was ready.
Brinley turned on the television and waited for the knock on the door. It didn’t take Mike too long to walk up the steps toward Brinley’s apartment. After the second knock, Brinley unlocked the door to allow Mike to walk in.
“Would you like something to drink?” Brinley bent to open the refrigerator door, giving Mike a quick glance at her lacy underwear.
“Damn girl,” Mike walked up behind her to rub his dick against her tight ass.
“Here you go,” Brinley giggled, standing up to hand Mike a cold beer. She walked into her bedroom to sit on the side of the bed. She watched Mike as he stared at the notes on her desk.
“How’s your paper going?” Mike asked, flipping through her notebook.
“Eh,” Brinley sipped her beer. “How about you?”
Mike turned around to shrug. “Eh,” he kicked off his shoes to crawl into the bed next to Brinley.
Brinley inhaled. Damn, he smells good. She picked up the remote, clicking through the wide array of movies on Netflix. Brinley tilted her head from side to side.
“Come here,” Mike placed his beer on the nightstand. He sat up to open his legs and pulled Brinley close to him. When he rubbed her tense shoulders, Brinley melted.
She moaned when Mike kissed the back of her neck. She leaned her back against his chest. Mike leaned her back as he slid his warm hands underneath her shirt to rub her nipples between his fingers. Brinley turned her head to the crook of his neck, kissing him until she felt his dick harden. With one hand, Mike slid in his fingers inside her underwear to stroke her clit.
“You’re so wet,” Mike nibbled on her ear.
Brinley grabbed Mike by the wrist and guided his fingers inside of her.
“Damn,” Mike opened her thighs with his free hand. Brinley arched her back as her legs quivered. “Oh baby, you’re about to come, aren’t you?” Mike pushed his fingers in harder, then bit the side of her neck.
The bite was not tender, but Brinley loved the tingle from the slight pain Mike caused. On the verge of reaching climax, Mike withdrew his fingers.
“No, No,” Brinley squeezed his wrist. “Please,” she begged.
“No,” Mike rubbed Brinley’s lips with his finger. “Taste it,” he slipped his finger inside Brinley’s warm mouth.
Brinley closed her eyes as she sucked her juices from his fingers.

When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.

George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

I squeezed my eyes shut.
"Dani," he pressed. "Do you get me?"
"No, Austin, I don't," I admitted as I pulled my robe closed again and sat up. "You confuse me."
He dragged his hands down his face. "Tell me what's on your mind."
I sighed. "You're everything my parents warned me against. You're secretive, but you're also honest. I feel wholly protected by you, but then you scare me more than anyone I've ever known. You're a bad boy, but when I dated a so-called good one, he turned out to be the devil, so, yeah, I don't get you because you're not what I expected. You drive me crazier than anyone I've ever met, but then you make me feel complete. I'm feeling things I don't quite know how to process and that makes me want to run. I don't want to give up something that might be really, really good, but I also don't want to be stupid and fall for a boy just because he's super pretty and makes me come."

From Substitute To Queen
Heartbroken, Sable discovered Darrell having sex with his ex in their bed, while secretly transferring hundreds of thousands to support that woman.
Even worse was overhearing Darrell laugh to his friends: "She's useful—obedient, doesn't cause trouble, handles housework, and I can fuck her whenever I need relief. She's basically a live-in maid with benefits." He made crude thrusting gestures, sending his friends into laughter.
In despair, Sable left, reclaimed her true identity, and married her childhood neighbor—Lycan King Caelan, nine years her senior and her fated mate. Now Darrell desperately tries to win her back. How will her revenge unfold?
From substitute to queen—her revenge has just begun!
I Slapped My Fiancé—Then Married His Billionaire Nemesis
Technically, Rhys Granger was my fiancé now—billionaire, devastatingly hot, and a walking Wall Street wet dream. My parents shoved me into the engagement after Catherine disappeared, and honestly? I didn’t mind. I’d crushed on Rhys for years. This was my chance, right? My turn to be the chosen one?
Wrong.
One night, he slapped me. Over a mug. A stupid, chipped, ugly mug my sister gave him years ago. That’s when it hit me—he didn’t love me. He didn’t even see me. I was just a warm-bodied placeholder for the woman he actually wanted. And apparently, I wasn’t even worth as much as a glorified coffee cup.
So I slapped him right back, dumped his ass, and prepared for disaster—my parents losing their minds, Rhys throwing a billionaire tantrum, his terrifying family plotting my untimely demise.
Obviously, I needed alcohol. A lot of alcohol.
Enter him.
Tall, dangerous, unfairly hot. The kind of man who makes you want to sin just by existing. I’d met him only once before, and that night, he just happened to be at the same bar as my drunk, self-pitying self. So I did the only logical thing: I dragged him into a hotel room and ripped off his clothes.
It was reckless. It was stupid. It was completely ill-advised.
But it was also: Best. Sex. Of. My. Life.
And, as it turned out, the best decision I’d ever made.
Because my one-night stand isn’t just some random guy. He’s richer than Rhys, more powerful than my entire family, and definitely more dangerous than I should be playing with.
And now, he’s not letting me go.
The War God Alpha's Arranged Bride
Yet Alexander made his decision clear to the world: “Evelyn is the only woman I will ever marry.”
Invisible To Her Bully
My Possessive Alpha Twins For Mate
My drunk stepfather remained indifferent, his weight suffocating, making it hard to breathe as my heart raced.
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and two figures burst in.
"Get off her!" a deafening roar echoed.
I didn't expect the twin brothers who'd bullied me at school to come charging in like gods to save me.
After my grandmother passed, I had to move in with my mom and stepdad, who treated me like a servant. I prayed every day for my 18th birthday to come, so l could leave and escape this broken home.
However, on my first day at my new school, l encountered the legendary twins everyone feared.
To make matters worse, the Moon Goddess revealed they were both my mates!
After helping me out with my stepdad, my twin mate cornered me, played with my hair, and whispered possessively, "You belong to us, our little mate..."
Rise of the Banished She-Wolf
That roar stole my eighteenth birthday and shattered my world. My first shift should have been glory—blood turned blessing into shame. By dawn they'd branded me "cursed": cast out by my pack, abandoned by family, stripped of my nature. My father didn't defend me—he sent me to a forsaken island where wolfless outcasts were forged into weapons, forced to kill each other until only one could leave.
On that island I learned the darkest edges of humanity and how to bury terror in bone. Countless times I wanted to surrender—dive into the waves and never surface—but the accusing faces that haunted my dreams pushed me back toward something colder than survival: revenge. I escaped, and for three years I hid among humans, collecting secrets, learning to move like a shadow, sharpening patience into precision—becoming a blade.
Then, under a full moon, I touched a bleeding stranger—and my wolf returned with a violence that made me whole. Who was he? Why could he wake what I'd thought dead?
One thing I know: now is the time.
I have waited three years for this. I will make everyone who destroyed me pay—and take back everything that was stolen from me.
The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.
Especially - Rule Number One - No Mates
When Draven meets Domonic, he knows that she is his mate, but Draven has no idea what a mate is, only that she has fallen in love with a shifter. An Alpha that will break her heart to make her leave. Promising herself, she will never forgive him, she disappears.
But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Biker Alpha Who Became My Second Chance Mate
"You're like a sister to me."
Those were the actual words that broke the camel's back.
Not after what just happened. Not after the hot, breathless, soul-shaking night we spent tangled in each other's arms.
I knew from the beginning that Tristan Hayes was a line I shouldn't cross.
He wasn't just anyone, he was my brother's best friend. The man I spent years secretly wanting.
But that night... we were broken. We had just buried our parents. And the grief was too heavy, too real...so I begged him to touch me.
To make me forget. To fill the silence that death left behind.
And he did. He held me like I was something fragile.
Kissed me like I was the only thing he needed to breathe.
Then left me bleeding with six words that burned deeper than rejection ever could.
So, I ran. Away from everything that cost me pain.
Now, five years later, I'm back.
Fresh from rejecting the mate who abused me. Still carrying the scars of a pup I never got to hold.
And the man waiting for me at the airport isn't my brother.
It's Tristan.
And he's not the guy I left behind.
He's a biker.
An Alpha.
And when he looked at me, I knew there was no where else to run to.
Falling for my boyfriend's Navy brother
"What is wrong with me?
Why does being near him make my skin feel too tight, like I’m wearing a sweater two sizes too small?
It’s just newness, I tell myself firmly.
He’s my boyfirend’s brother.
This is Tyler’s family.
I’m not going to let one cold stare undo that.

Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.
Especially not someone like her.
She’s not my problem.
And I’ll make damn sure she never becomes one.
But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
