Introduction
Chapter 1
"Fuck! Get your ass up right now!"
A guard with a brutish face rested one hand on his waist while banging his baton against the iron bars with the other. The metallic clanging echoed throughout the prison.
Inside the cell, Wayne Bruce, shirtless and doing push-ups, paused mid-motion. He glanced at the guard, silently stood up, and grabbed his prison uniform.
The orange uniform slid down his muscular body, covering the horrific scar on his chest.
Today was Wayne's release day. He didn't want any trouble.
The lock turned, and the cell door opened.
Two guards escorted Wayne front and back, walking him through the prison corridor.
After just a short while, Wayne frowned slightly.
This direction wasn't leading to the prison exit.
"Fuck! Who told you to stop?!"
The moment he slowed down, the guard behind him shoved him hard with a vicious look.
Wayne's cold gaze swept over the guard's hand resting on his holstered gun. Eyes lowered, he started walking again.
Soon, the two guards brought him to the warden's office. After knocking and hearing "Come in," they escorted him inside.
The air conditioning was cranked up high, making it feel like a different world from the stifling heat of White Fox Prison outside.
Behind the desk, Callum, the warden of White Fox Prison, adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses, his face wearing an extremely fake smile:
"I'm very sorry, Mr. Bruce."
"As the warden of White Fox Prison, I regret to inform you that your sentence needs to be extended by another fifty years."
"Also, Mr. Bruce, I've already notified your family, telling them not to wait outside for your release."
With that, Callum stood up, revealing his abnormally large belly, and made a slight bow with a smile.
"Please forgive me for taking this liberty."
Wayne remained silent, just coldly watching his performance.
Only when he heard that this fat pig had contacted his family did a barely noticeable cold glint flash in his eyes.
"Of course, there's still a way out."
Callum suddenly changed his tone, smiling as he pulled a document from his drawer and pushed it in front of Wayne:
"As long as Mr. Bruce signs this, you can reunite with your family today. How about it?"
Second time!
Wayne lowered his eyes, scanning the document on the desk.
Voluntary Transfer Agreement of Family Member's Shares... Transferee: Merlin Bruce.
Just as expected—something his dear brother would do!
Seeing that name, Wayne's mind flashed with scene after scene, playing on loop like a black and white film.
Trust, betrayal...
His parents lying in pools of blood...
The blood blooming as a bullet pierced his chest...
And using his last bit of trust to set him up and get him thrown into White Fox Prison, the most notorious prison in all of Texas!
"Mr. Bruce, what's your decision?"
Callum checked his watch. "In five minutes, I need to attend a banquet. Please hurry."
Suddenly, as if remembering something, he slapped his forehead:
"Almost forgot—Merlin asked me to pass along a message."
"He said if Mr. Bruce refuses to sign, he can't bear to see that poor mother and daughter unable to see their father and husband."
"He'll send them into White Fox Prison too, to reunite with you."
At this, Callum's lips slowly curved up, revealing a meaningful smile:
"Mr. Bruce, you can rest assured—when that mother and daughter arrive, I'll take very good care of them!"
"Let me think... I'll put them in the rapists' cell block. How does that sound?"
After saying this, he reached out to pat Wayne's shoulder. "Nice and—"
Just as his hand extended, an ice-cold palm gripped his wrist tightly!
"What!"
Callum froze, instinctively looking up to meet Wayne's eyes burning with a hint of madness!
"You—"
Before he could speak, a terrifying force came from his wrist.
Crack!
The crisp sound of breaking bone!
Feeling the excruciating pain, Callum let out a pig-like squeal, desperately trying to break free from that grip.
But the next moment, another tremendous force came from his wrist.
He was dragged forward, his body tilting!
Bang!
Something slammed hard into his head. His mind went blank, his body went limp, and he collapsed. His heavy body crashed to the floor.
"Fuck!"
Hearing the sound, the two guards behind finally snapped out of it. Their expressions changed drastically as they reached for their guns.
Their movements were fast, but Wayne's were faster!
Like a wild beast, he was in front of one guard in the blink of an eye, throwing a heavy punch that landed on the guard's chest!
Thud!
The massive impact made the guard's eyes bulge. His body involuntarily bent like a shrimp.
The instant he bent over, Wayne expressionlessly bent his knee, raised his leg, then explosively struck!
Crack!
Another teeth-grinding sound of breaking bones. Under the tremendous impact, the guard's head snapped back, face covered in blood, and he fell straight backward.
At this moment, the other guard finally drew his gun!
Just as he raised it to shoot, a tremendous force hit his chest. He flew backward like a cannonball, slamming heavily into the wall behind him.
The office fell silent again.
Wayne picked up the gun from the floor and chambered a round with practiced ease.
First, he used the office phone to dial a number, then walked over to Callum and raised his hand, pressing the cold barrel against his forehead.
"Don't, don't kill me!"
Under the terror of death, Callum didn't dare pretend to be unconscious anymore.
He quickly opened his eyes, forcing out a flattering smile:
"Mr. Bruce, there's really no grudge between us, is there? This is all Merlin's doing. You should go after him, and besides..."
At this point, he sneaked a glance at Wayne's cold eyes and swallowed hard.
"And if you kill me, you won't be able to leave this prison. You'll be wanted for it—that's not a smart choice."
"This prison's defenses are far beyond your imagination. If you spare me, I can swear on the Bible that today never happened!"
"Your prison has strong defenses?"
Wayne's lips curved up, revealing a mocking smile.
"Yes, yes!"
Callum nodded frantically, afraid Wayne didn't understand. "Since White Fox Prison was established, not a single person has successfully escaped. The defenses—"
Just then.
A loud roar of helicopter rotors suddenly came from outside the office, cutting off his words.
Instinctively turning to look out the window, Callum's pupils shrank, his face full of shock.
Outside White Fox Prison, two armed helicopters were hovering in mid-air.
The sound waves from the rotors made everything in the office tremble continuously.
Armed helicopters?
Why were there armed helicopters outside the prison?
At this moment, Callum's face was filled with disbelief.
Before he could react, he saw two rappelling ropes drop from the helicopters, and a group of combat-suited fighters descended like dumplings.
Then, gunfire erupted!
The sound of automatic rifles firing, the roar of rotating machine guns on the armed helicopters, and the constant screams from within the prison.
All these sounds woven together filled Callum with inexplicable terror.
With each scream, his eyelid would twitch involuntarily, and the fat on his face trembled from fear.
After what felt like forever, the screams gradually subsided, and the gunfire slowly stopped.
Just as Callum was feeling anxious and uneasy.
Bang!
The office door was violently broken open, and several heavily armed fighters filed in.
These people didn't even glance at Callum lying on the floor. Their attention and gazes were entirely focused on Wayne.
Pairs of eyes beneath tactical helmets were filled with awe and joy.
"Welcome home, Boss!"

**
I hate girls like her.
Entitled.
Delicate.
And still—
Still.
The image of her standing in the doorway, clutching her cardigan tighter around her narrow shoulders, trying to smile through the awkwardness, won’t leave me.
Neither does the memory of Tyler. Leaving her here without a second thought.
I shouldn’t care.
I don’t care.
It’s not my problem if Tyler’s an idiot.
It’s not my business if some spoiled little princess has to walk home in the dark.
I’m not here to rescue anyone.
Especially not her.

But when my eyes fell on her lips, I wanted her to be mine.
How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.
Alpha Nicholas's Little Mate
What? No—wait… oh Moon Goddess, no.
Please tell me you're joking, Lex.
But she's not. I can feel her excitement bubbling under my skin, while all I feel is dread.
We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.
My mate sees me and runs.

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

But she doesn’t know about the child she’s carrying or that the moment she left, Domonic decided rules were made to be broken - and now will he ever find her again? Will she forgive him?
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"

In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?

Seen.
Chosen.
Until he leaves her the next morning—

Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
