The heartless mafia alpha king
Okwe Rebecca · Ongoing · 39.8k Words
Introduction
"Get back here right now, or you would regret ever asking them for help." He growled.
" Please, you have to believe me. I don't know him." She cried again, talking to them.
" You leave me no choice then.". He said as he walked towards her…
All she wanted to do, was go home, and have a nice long bath after working so hard in the cafe.
What was the harm in doing that, but Lisa found out the wrong way, when she passed an ally on her way to the bus station.
It was her first and only mistake, and the biggest one yet, was when they crossed ways, or when he found her.
She soon finds out about him, and in the darkest ways yet. The demigod himself, and the devil in disguise…
Chapter 1
"Get out of my house this instant. I want you and your things thrown out right now! "
"Mr. Fred, please, you have to listen. I have no money with me right now, but give me till the end of this week. I promise I will pay every cent I owe, but please don't throw us out. " Tears slid down her cheeks as she begged.
"No! I will not hear that same shit from you again. I am sick of hearing that same line from you, over and over again. I don't want your money anymore. You can keep it. Just leave my house. " He growled, his white face turning red with anger.
"Please, just this once. Give me till the end of this week, I will get the money ready by then. "
"Till the end of this week? Do you think I am stupid? Or the fact that I am old, makes you think I am a fool. Is that it? " His voice was so loud that it had already started to attract other tenants.
"I would never say anything like that, Mr. Fred, and you know it. Just please, all I'm asking is that you consider my mom in the hospital. "
"Your mom? Oh, please, don't give me that bullshit. Your mom has been in the hospital for as long as I can remember. I think she is better off dead than alive. All she does is bring unnecessary expenses to you, so stop using that as an excuse to shut me up. "
Her eyes stung with tears at the words of her landlord.
"P–please, don't say that about my mother." Her voice shook as she spoke.
"Then pay me my money." His nose flared in anger.
"I don't have anything on me. Please try to understand what I am saying. I will do whatever it takes to get the money. Just bear with me till the end of this week, and if I fail to meet up, you can throw us out of your house. "
She begged while on her knees this time, as tears continued to slide down her cheeks.
"I am not taking that same shit from you again. I have said it, and I will say it again, and I am not leaving here without my money."
Spit flew out of his mouth while in his rage.
"Please, just this once. I promise, it would be the very last time I owe you anything, just please don't send us packing. Please. "
She begged, with every pride thrown out the window, as she crawled towards him with her knees.
"Get off me!"
He pushed her off him, dusting his cloth off, like she was disgusting, and would infect him with some kind of disease.
"Fine! By the end of this week, when I come back here, I want my money ready, or else, you won't like what is coming your way." His voice held a looming threat.
" And I don't care where you stay or where you would be sleeping at, be it the gutters or under the bridge, or even worse, on the streets. I. Don't. Care. I would have you thrown out in an instant."
He huffed, as he walked down the old, creaky wooden stairs, mumbling curses as he left.
Neighbours scrambled out of his way, creating a path for him to walk through.
She stared at his retreating figure, till he was out of her line of sight, still on her knees, in a daze, with tears stained face.
Standing on shaky legs, she felt eyes digging into her flesh.
She walked hastily towards her apartment, tears dropping onto the floor as she walked, with her head bowed.
Standing by the door inside her apartment, she dropped heavily on the floor.
A hand over her mouth, preventing sobs to escape, as her tears streamed down her cheeks heavier than before.
Looking at her apartment, her sobs seem to have grown only louder, as her hand could not contain her sobs any longer.
Sitting on the floor where she was, she could see the tiny apartment she had rented, now in ruins.
A mini kitchen was staring right at her, where a living room should have been. Two other doors were located at the sides, leading to a bathroom, and a bedroom.
The apartment was bare of any furniture and electronics. Only an old looking radio, which was installed in the apartment, sat on an old looking table.
Her sobs soon turned into loud cries as she remembered all that had happened to her.
A year ago, and she would have never believed a thing like this would ever happen to her.
A year ago, and she would never have thought she would have to struggle to survive.
She remembered it like it was yesterday.
Her father, Mr Danvers, was up in his study, attending a virtual conference with his employees, and trying to seal a business offer.
Her mother was sitting just beside her on the swing in the garden, drinking tea, and both chatting, and making jokes, like they had always done.
Looking at her mother, she felt her heart swell with pride. She was beautiful.
Her mother was a full-time housewife. She had pretty strawberry blonde hair, which was in a high ponytail.
Her bright green eyes shone with life, as she talked and laughed.
Her mother looked really young, and she was.
They had always done this every morning, but this time, it was different.
A car suddenly pulled up, and a young, dazzling, and beautiful woman stepped out.
She looked like a model, but her eyes were cold, and her face told a wicked tale.
Also stepping out of the car, was a slightly younger lady, who looked like the first, and also the same age as she(Lisa) was.
One glance, and anyone could tell they were a mother and daughter pair.
The woman paid no glance at them, as she stomped her way into the mansion furiously, with rolling suitcases, and her daughter right behind her.
"George, you better come out right now, because I can't bear this any longer. This is the last straw, and I am not going to sit back and watch in the dark, while you have your happily ever after." The woman shouted, not caring for any decency.
Everyone froze. The maids, and even the gardeners, all looked in curiosity.
Lisa watched as her mother walked up to the shouting woman, and watched in horror what happened next.
"Excuse me, but my husband is having a conference call right now, and is busy at the moment to attend to you. Is there anything that I can handle?"
Her mother put up a smile, but Lisa saw that it was a fake. Her mother was trying her best to be polite.
"Drop the pretentious smile. I am not here to be polite, and there is nothing you can handle here, so I would advise you to go call him out. Oh, and stop calling George your husband. I am sick of hearing you call him that, and I only heard it once, but it sounds awful. God."
The woman's eyes held hatred, and her voice held malice in them.
"Look here, miss. I don't know what trouble, or what your problem is, or whatever business you have with MY HUSBAND." She said, stressing the word.
" But listen to me, this is my house, and this is my roof, and whatever I say, happens, and if you don't behave yourself, I won't hesitate to throw you out this instant. Don't take me for being kind for foolishness."
Her mother had dropped the act, and she could see the rage in her mother's eyes, from where she stood.
The woman let out a snort, and her daughter let out a snicker beside her.
The woman's eyes held mockery. "The name is Irene, and I have no time to put up with you, just get upstairs, and call George out here, he will explain." She flipped her hair to the side as she spoke.
"You have no say in this house, and you have no right to tell me what to do, so I suggest you see yourself out this instant." Rage and anger poured out if her mother's words.
"Just for the moment I don't have the right, but you just wait. Soon enough it would all come clear to you. Now, go call George out, or I would go in there, and get him out myself." Irene threatened, as she made a move up the massive stairs.
"You wouldn't dare!" Her mother sprang right in front of Irene, preventing her from taking a step further.
"Get the phone Lisa, call the guards, and have them throw these dogs out of my house this instant." Her mother ordered.
Lisa took the telecom on the table, and made to call the guards, but her hand was held by someone.
Looking up with a frown on her face, she saw it was Irene.
"You wouldn't dare." She said, as she snatched the phone from her grasp.
"Give it back you witch."
That was the first time Lisa uttered a word.
"How dare you call my mother a witch, bitch!?"
A voice rang out, and it belonged to the younger version of Irene, her daughter.
"Don't you ever call my mother that, or I will beat you till you can't recognize yourself in the mirror."
" I would like to see you try!" She growled, as they stared at each other, ready to pounce on each other.
Lisa had never been so violent in her life, and this was the first time, but unfortunately, won't be her last.
They were this close to attacking each other, when a voice rang out from the top of the stairs.
"What is going on here?!"
An angry Mr Danvers stood at the top. Eyes with fury, and rage, as he walked down the stairs...

How Not To Fall For A Dragon
Which is why it was more than a little confusing when a letter arrived with my name already printed on a schedule, a dorm waiting, and classes picked out as if someone knew me better than I knew myself. Everyone knows the Academy, it’s where witches sharpen their spells, shifters master their forms, and every kind of magical creature learns to control their gifts.
Everyone except me.
I don’t even know what I am. No shifting, no magic tricks, nothing. Just a girl surrounded by people who can fly, conjure fire, or heal with a touch. So I sit through classes pretending I belong, and I listen hard for any clue that might tell me what’s hidden in my blood.
The only person more curious than me is Blake Nyvas, tall, golden-eyed, and very much a Dragon. People whisper that he’s dangerous, warn me to keep my distance. But Blake seems determined to solve the mystery of me, and somehow I trust him more than anyone else.
Maybe it’s reckless. Maybe it’s dangerous.
But when everyone else looks at me like I don’t belong, Blake looks at me like I’m a riddle worth solving.

Falling For The Biker: The Vice President's Girl
His eyes darken, flicking to my mouth.
"It's wrong. Your brother would slit my throat for just standing this close. But tell me, little bird" his breath ghosts my skin, "are you trembling because you hate me… or because you've wanted this just as much as I have?"
Wren thought she'd buried the chaos of New Orleans for good—the clubs, the blood-soaked loyalties, the men who lived and died by their kuttes. Seattle gave her everything she ever wanted: freedom, love, a future.
But one betrayal shatters it all.
Dragged home by tragedy, Wren finds herself under the watchful eye of Ezra Jax—the Raven Reapers MC's vice president and her brother's best friend. He's infuriating, dangerous, and far too tempting for a man she should never touch.
And the deeper Wren is pulled back into his world, the more she realizes nothing about her past—or about Ezra—is what she believed.
In the chaos of gang wars, mounting debts, and old betrayals, he becomes the one constant. The more she fights him, the harder she falls. And the more he pushes her away, the more lethal his pull becomes.
Because in this world, love isn't sweet.
It's brutal. Bloody.
And it's bound to break them both.
When loyalty is everything and love can cost your life, will Wren risk her heart on the one man she was never meant to love?

The Pack: Rule Number 1 - No Mates
"Let me go," I whimper, my body trembling with need. "I don't want you touching me."
I fall forward onto the bed then turn around to stare at him. The dark tattoos of Domonic's chiseled shoulders, quiver and and expand with the heave of his chest. His deep dimpled smile is full of arrogance as he reaches behind himself to lock the door.
Biting his lip, he stalks toward me, his hand going to the seam of his pants and the thickening bulge there.
"Are you sure you don't want me to touch you?" He whispers, untying the knot and slipping a hand inside. "Because I swear to God, that is all I have been wanting to do. Every single day from the moment you stepped in our bar and I smelled your perfect flavor from across the room."
New to the world of shifters, Draven is human on the run. A beautiful girl who no one could protect. Domonic is the cold Alpha of the Red Wolf Pack. A brotherhood of twelve wolves that live by twelve rules. Rules which they vowed could NEVER be broken.

Seen.
Chosen.

like a secret never to be spoken.
But Kaelani is not what they thought.
Not wolfless. Not weak.
There is something ancient inside her. Something powerful. And it’s waking.
And when it does—
they’ll all remember the girl they tried to erase.
Especially him.
She’ll be the dream he keeps chasing… the one thing that ever made him feel alive.
Because secrets never stay buried.
And neither do dreams.
The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.
