Introduction
“What did you think?” Samar snapped. “That I wouldn’t find out?"
Before I could react, his hand twisted painfully in my hair. He yanked my head back, “Look at me!”
A cry escaped my lips, “Ahhhhh!”
Grinding his teeth, he growled, “How dare your father deceive me like this? He trapped me into marrying you!”
“I swear,” I sobbed, “I don’t know anything. Please believe me. I had no idea.”
“Lies!” he shouted. “You knew everything. You played along perfectly.”
“No!” I cried. “I’m as helpless as you are. Please… let me go.”
He laughed bitterly. “Let you go? After what your father did?”
His grip tightened. “Now you’ll pay for his betrayal.”
“I haven’t done anything!” I pleaded.
He leaned closer, his voice cold. “I don’t forgive anyone. And you’re his blood.”
Fear choked me. “This marriage… it was never meant to hurt you.”
“Marriage?” he mocked. “You were desperate to get married, weren’t you?”
“That’s not true,” I whispered. “I just...”
He shoved me back. “From today onward, forget freedom."
I shook my head. “Please listen to me just once."
“Listen?” he snapped. “You lost that right the moment you entered this house.”
He stared at me with burning eyes.
“And remember this,” he said sharply. “Your breaths in this house will move only by my command.”
Chapter 1
Narrator’s POV
“How dare you betray me?” The voice was low, cold, and deadly calm, yet it echoed through the silent mountains like thunder.
The man lying on the ground trembled violently. Blood soaked the rocky surface beneath him as his chest rose and fell in painful, uneven breaths. His eyes widened with terror as he stared up at the man standing before him.
“P-please… forgive me… I didn’t mean to..”
“Silence.” Just one word was enough to shut him up instantly.
The wind howled fiercely around them, carrying the smell of blood through the cold mountain air. The sky above was pitch black, as if even the moon had refused to witness what was about to happen tonight.
Standing in the center of the haunted cliff was a man surrounded by armed guards.
A tall figure dressed entirely in black.
A long black coat moved slightly with the wind, and dark sunglasses hid his eyes even in the dead of night.
He looked calm.
Too calm.
Like death itself had taken human form.
His name was Samar Rajput. But the world knew him by another name, SR. A name that made powerful men fall silent.
The injured man on the ground tried to crawl backward, his body shaking with fear.
“SR… please… I swear I won’t betray you again…” SR tilted his head slightly.
Behind the dark glasses, his sharp hazel-green eyes studied the man like a predator watching wounded prey.
“Again?” SR repeated quietly, His voice held no anger.
That was the terrifying part.
“I gave you everything,” SR continued calmly. “Power. Money. Protection.”
He slowly stepped closer.
Each step felt heavier than the last, “And you still chose betrayal.”
The man began crying now, “I was forced! They threatened my family!”
SR stopped walking.
For a moment, silence swallowed the entire cliff.
Even the wind seemed to pause.
Then SR spoke again, his voice colder than the mountain air, “That sounds like your problem.”
The man’s eyes widened in horror.
SR slowly pulled a sleek black gun from inside his coat.
His movement was smooth.
Effortless.
Like he had done it a thousand times before, “N-no… please… please don’t...”
DHAAMM!!! The gunshot exploded through the mountains.
Birds scattered into the dark sky.
The man’s body jerked once… then fell completely still.
Silence returned.
SR didn’t even look at the corpse again.
To him, it was nothing more than a mistake that had been corrected.
He slid the gun back into his coat and turned away.
“Clean this,” he said calmly.
His bodyguards immediately moved forward.
Meanwhile, SR walked toward the sleek black BMW parked nearby.
Within seconds, the convoy of black cars began driving down the dark mountain road.
Behind them, the lifeless body remained abandoned in the cold night.
Just like the man’s existence itself… erased.
After nearly twenty minutes, the convoy stopped in front of Villa.
Calling it a villa, however, felt like an insult.
The mansion stood tall on the side of the mountain, glowing faintly against the darkness.
SR stepped out of the car without a word.
His guards followed him instantly.
As he approached the entrance, a hidden biometric scanner detected him.
Beep.
The large door slid open automatically.
Inside, the mansion looked like paradise, Glass walls, Luxurious interiors, Modern design. But beneath that beauty, Hell existed.
Without stopping, SR walked toward the staircase leading underground.
His guards followed closely.
The deeper they went, the colder the air became.
The basement was dimly lit. Iron-bar cells lined the corridor.
Inside them were prisoners, Some crying. Some screaming.
Some silently staring at the floor, completely broken.
“Take him out,” SR ordered coldly.
Two guards opened one of the cells and dragged a terrified man out by his hair.
They threw him onto the floor in front of SR.
The prisoner’s entire body shook violently.
“Please… I didn’t do anything…” SR crouched slowly in front of him.
“I know,” SR replied calmly.
For a second, hope appeared in the man’s eyes.
Then SR grabbed his throat suddenly.
The prisoner gasped for air.
“I don’t punish people because they did something,” SR whispered near his ear.
His grip tightened.
“I punish them because I want to.”
The guards stepped back instantly.
Everyone knew what it meant when SR handled someone himself.
It meant the devil had arrived.
SR threw the man violently onto the floor.
Then he took out a small remote and pressed a button. A heavy steel door opened with a loud metallic sound.
Inside was a horrifying chamber filled with glowing coils, sharp blades, chains, and torture devices.
The prisoner screamed in pure terror. SR looked at the room for a moment. Then he turned away.
“Take him,” he said calmly.
The guards dragged the screaming man inside.
SR walked back upstairs without looking back.
Moments later, he stepped outside into the cold mountain air again.
The night had grown quieter.
The wind brushed against the edge of his coat as he stood there silently.
Then suddenly… A deep growl echoed from the darkness. The guards instantly reached for their weapons.
But SR didn’t move. From the shadows of the forest… A massive lion slowly stepped into the moonless night. Its golden eyes locked directly onto SR.
The lion stopped a few steps away from SR, its heavy breaths visible in the cold night air. The guards froze, fingers still resting on their guns.
“Relax,” SR said calmly.
The lion slowly circled him once… then sat beside him like a silent guardian.
But suddenly, A faint sound came from the dark forest.
A twig snapped.
SR’s smile faded instantly. His eyes sharpened behind the glasses. Someone was there.
Watching.
The lion growled low in its throat, staring into the shadows.
Then a soft voice echoed from the darkness, “So… you’re the devil everyone fears.”

Bury Me in His Regret
The kidnapper pressed the gun to my temple and asked, "Choose your wife or your sister-in-law?"
Zachary didn't hesitate. "Let Valerie go," he said.
He actually chose to save his sister-in-law! In that moment, even the baby in my belly seemed to stop kicking.
Later, they locked me in the basement. Drugs to delay labor were pumped into my veins over and over. Zachary wanted to save the "firstborn son" status for his sister-in-law's child.
When warm blood finally soaked through my skirt, I dialed the number I knew by heart with shaking hands.
"Zachary," I whispered into the phone, "our child... can't wait any longer."
The Kidney That Killed Me
A few months ago, my sister was hospitalized with kidney failure. The doctor said she needed a transplant. My family's first thought was me—the backup daughter they'd kept around all these years.
When my husband Allen took my hand with tears in his eyes and said, "Only you can save her," I agreed without hesitation.
When the doctor explained the surgical risks and potential complications, I smiled and nodded my understanding.
My parents said I'd finally learned what sisterly love meant.
Even Allen, who'd always been cold to me, held my hand gently and said, "The surgery's safe. You're so healthy, nothing will go wrong. When you recover, I'll take you to Hawaii."
But they don't know that no matter how the surgery goes, I won't be around to celebrate.
Because I just got my own test results—I have terminal brain cancer. I'm going to die anyway.
After the Affair: Falling into a Billionaire's Arms
From first crush to wedding vows, George Capulet and I had been inseparable. But in our seventh year of marriage, he began an affair with his secretary.
On my birthday, he took her on vacation. On our anniversary, he brought her to our home and made love to her in our bed...
Heartbroken, I tricked him into signing divorce papers.
George remained unconcerned, convinced I would never leave him.
His deceptions continued until the day the divorce was finalized. I threw the papers in his face: "George Capulet, from this moment on, get out of my life!"
Only then did panic flood his eyes as he begged me to stay.
When his calls bombarded my phone later that night, it wasn't me who answered, but my new boyfriend Julian.
"Don't you know," Julian chuckled into the receiver, "that a proper ex-boyfriend should be as quiet as the dead?"
George seethed through gritted teeth: "Put her on the phone!"
"I'm afraid that's impossible."
Julian dropped a gentle kiss on my sleeping form nestled against him. "She's exhausted. She just fell asleep."

We turn the corner, and the scent hits me like a punch to the chest—cinnamon and something impossibly warm. My eyes scan the room until they land on him. Tall. Commanding. Beautiful.
And then, just as quickly… he sees me.
His expression twists.
"Fuck no."
He turns—and runs.

The Human Among Wolves
My stomach twisted, but he wasn’t finished.
"You're just a pathetic little human," Zayn said, his words deliberate, each one hitting like a slap. "Spreading your legs for the first guy who bothers to notice you."
Heat rushed to my face, burning with humiliation. My chest ached — not from his words alone, but from the sick realization that I had trusted him. That I had let myself believe he was different.
I was so, so stupid.

"Girls like you don't get to dream about guys like Kai." Bella's breath was hot on my face. "You don't get to write pathetic love letters."
She shoved me again. Harder.
"Maybe if you weren't such a desperate little—"
